so i haven’t posted on here in forever and i really should just archive this blog since i have little intentions of rping on it again. there’s no fandom on this site i feel comfortable in anymore and it’s largely due to “uwu purity” culture that’s run rampant and made me tiptoe on eggshells for so many fucking years. i’ve been rping on dreamwidth lately (even tho i’m still not as familiar with the format as i am with tumblr’s) and it’s been a lot more fun for me. i have a bn/ha muse and one other muse but i won’t give out the journal urls unless someone explicitly wants to rp with me there on one of those muses. so yeah. unless something happens to make me wanna get back on this blog, this looks like it’s gonna be an indefinite hiatus from me. nice knowing you guys.

ll Okay. This is the last thing I’ll post on this drama. But I need to get this settled.

First of all, I’ll apologize for lashing out at your friend about their character not being 100% their original idea. I lost my temper because I was feeling attacked myself.

Secondly, I do not agree with the part about ‘not accusing me of copying’. The screenshots which have been posted do not include the full conversation. 

Below I will add all points of the conversation in which your friend either directly or indirectly accuses me of copying from them directly by means of:

- Calling the similarity or the fact that I took inspiration from RPG games suspicious. (Because surely nobody else in this world knows about RPG tropes)

- Being MUTUALS with them. (Despite the fact that I hadn’t been on this blog for almost 2 weeks prior to my activity yesterday)

- Refusing to believe that they had zero concrete evidence.

while i’m glad you’re apologizing for lashing out, it would be really nice if your friends and followers could do the same and stop with sending messages accusing her of being a “drama queen” and saying “fuck that drama queen”. that exact type of witch hunt/mob mentality is the reason this entire thing has blown up completely. you got defensive. she got defensive. you’re both allowed to have gotten defensive over this situation and both sides did some wrongs so it’s not a black and white good vs bad type of thing. i’m sure if you were to unblock her and try to talk to her civilly we can come to an agreement.

i know i’m biased in this situation, but i’ve known c.c. (the mun you spoke to) for quite a many years and given that, it was apparent to me that she was being sarcastic in many of the messages you seem to have been taking offense to. to start with she’s said she was joking when she originally came to you and was trying to be lighthearted, but got on the defensive when she noticed a few things regarding the mechanics to the quirks. 

so when i say that she wasn’t accusing you of copying her, i mean that she didn’t intend to accuse you of copying her. 

to directly quote what she said in her own post:

Again, I never accused them of copying, I said our muses have very close similarities. I didn’t insult them for however they came up with the idea, but apparently my own intelligence is lacking because I “can’t even come up with an OC of my own”, which naturally means I have no originality. Despite literally stating this this.

yes, she didn’t give all of the screenshots in her post, but that was because she was focusing on the points that she felt needed to be addressed.

i really believe you’re getting too hung up on the rpg thing because that was never part of her argument on why she wanted things tweaked. the only reason she mentioned it in the conversation with you was because you had stated you took inspiration from rpgs right after she mentioned crow is from a jrpg.

a few things though

- “she only asked for a few tweaks to the quirk because things were too similar”: the thing is she has no right to ask that. what the heck?? she sees someone at a party dressed in a similar way and she’s gonna ask them to change?? the character she plays isn’t even HERS to begin with. Sure, the verse is, so what? I’m guessing she based the quirk off of the character’s canon powers? And chances are that Momo mun didn’t even know the existence of that person in the first place! Do correct me if I’m wrong though.

My point is this is a creative space for everyone and no one has the right to straight up keep others from being creative, no matter how similar. Shit man I guess I can’t play Enji because there were already a few before I made this blog. :/

i replied to your comment on a todoroki’s post and even tagged/mentioned you in the reply 

i fail to see how she would have no right to ask for a few tweaks to be made just so that the mechanics of the quirk aren’t so similar to each other. no one’s accused momo mun of outright copying, but the coincidences were too close for comfort for my friend. i also fail to see how just because the character is a canon character and not an OC doesn’t mean she can have say on the verse she worked just as hard as momo mun did in order to create their OC and the bnha verse they wanted to use. you yourself play a canon muse, does this mean you wouldn’t want to create a crossover verse with a different series? would you stop yourself from doing so just because you don’t own the rights to enji? that absolutely makes no sense to me since people have been doing crossovers for as long as i can remember in rp communities. 

no one was trying to keep momo mun from being creative or anything of the sort. no one was trying to accuse her of copying. no one was trying to stop her from doing what she wanted. if you want proof to anything, here’s the post my friend made showing screenshots from the actual conversation that took place.

please do not involve yourself in something when you clearly do not have the full story behind the events that took place. there was no bullying that took place in that conversation, for one. for two, my friend’s character is a canon character put in a crossover verse. and finally, you’re being the least mature person out of anyone involving themselves so far with your bullying insults. she tried to continue the conversation and work things out, but momo mun blocked her and cut things off, so there was no way for this to be kept private. especially when momo mun is dragging this out into public to milk the drama for all it’s worth with all of these vague posts and anons they’re answering. as i tried to point out yesterday, she only asked for a few tweaks to the quirk because things were too similar. it’s not about them both being based in jrpg tropes or ideas, but the actual mechanics of how the quirks work. so please calm down and do not resort to name calling on a public platform just because you want to defend your friend. that’s not how things get resolved.
