Non-practising intellectual. I'm pretty but tough, like a diamond, or beef jerky in a ball gown.

YES. What an excellent compilation of frames showing just how frigging many emotions poor Ed cycles through in a single episode. Taika Waititi should have won every single award ever for every single one*.
* Except the last one, because that moment still makes me cry. For that one he deserves the whole world.
During the Saturday panel, David praised Taika’s acting, and his portrayal of Ed’s character arc across episode 10, specifically.

No, babe, WE get it. ❤️
My biggest regret about "Our Flag Means Death" season 2 is that Ed didn't cut one of Izzy's limbs off (or be responsible for a limb going missing) per episode (until he runs out). Episode 5 would be Izzy's head being cut off from his limbless torso and we'd have a Sir Humphrey Bone situation. Every time he started moaning a crew member could just... roll his head away.

These fellas (or, more accurately, grey herons) freak me out. It's not their fault. My French uncle is a hunter and has a Room of Death with all his stuffed victims on display. Sometimes this was the room we had to sleep in while visiting. I remember being in a sleeping bag directly under a taxidermied grey heron (it was on the floor, looming over me). I couldn't sleep because I was terrified I'd sit up too quickly and snap its beak off.

For an atheist, I sure do know a lot of churchy Latin. Which has also done wonders for my grasp of etymology, so thank you choir.

Hey, so, I finally watched "Boy" last night (I knew I'd love it, but was afraid I wouldn't love it), and man alive. Man alive. The film overall is fantastic, the kids are brilliant. But Mr. Taika Waititi. Man alive.
Also he is clearly a better director than Robert Eggers, because all that guy did was bitch about how undirectable Black Phillip was in "The VVitch". Has Waititi ever complained? No. Better director.

I've just realised "Estimated Time of Arrival" and "Edited To Add" have the same acronym. As a chronically late person who always makes mistakes, I appreciate the efficiency.

As a chronically late person, I'm grateful for my infinitely patient friends. I'm trying to get better and have slightly improved. I wish I knew why setting multiple alarms never works. Or planning a route to arrive 15 mins plus earlier than planned. Or saving an event in my calendar 30 minutes earlier than agreed. Or immediately putting in a calendar event called "TRAVEL" preceding the actual event. Or...
The friends that are chronically 30 minutes late are so important to have because they teach u patience and the meaning of loving someone so much u let ur anger go. I have not mastered either yet but I’m sure it’s coming

If you've smoked once or twice but didn't like it/never made a habit of it, select "No, I don't smoke"– this isn't asking whether you've ever smoked, just whether you do currently.
Anon is in her mid-20s and has had asthma almost since birth, and has been smoking cigarettes (and occasionally other things) since adolescence. She doesn't know anyone else with asthma and wonders if others smoke despite their asthma.

It's so weird and so embarrassing to be a very grown, very adult woman who gets overwhelmed by feelings of tenderness every time she sees a person what does not actually exist, innit

Brahms's German Requiem (if just one movement then the second, "Denn alles Fleisch, es ist wie Gras"/"For all flesh is as grass"); the first movement of Schubert's Symphony no. 8 ("Unfinished"); movement 4 of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique ("Marche au supplice"/"March to the Scaffold"); Fauré's "Cantique de Jean Racine"; Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 5 ("The Emperor") and the second movement of Symphony no. 7. If solo piano, I'm even more indecisive: any Brahms, Liszt, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Beethoven.
THE ROMANTICS ARE THE BEST (if you count Beethoven as the first Romantic, which I do), COME AT ME
