ラブラブ RHAPSODY!: A (satire) Composer Dating Sim! 💕🎶
(Also a fun rhythm game!)
Hey everyone! This has been a long time dream of mine to finally start this project, so it has been such a pleasure to finally have the time to start working on it! As you can see from the title, the team and I are going to create a classical composer dating simulator rhythm game.
So, how does it work? The game is just like a normal “visual novel” / Dating simulator type game, but rather than only relying on the character’s choice of dialogue, the ending you get can also be determined by how well you play these rhythm games. These rhythm games will appear during “special/key moments” with the composer you’re going after. Depending on the character, your performance in the rhythm game may or may not affect your relationship with them, as each of them have different personalities and priorities.
There will be 8 composers who you can attempt to charm:
Beethoven
Mozart
Chopin
Liszt
Shostakovich
Rach
Mendelssohn
Paganini
Each composer will have 5 playable songs, which makes it 40 songs in total. Depending on the character’s personality, the difficulty of the songs may differ (Although, the difficulty can still be adjusted just incase). I might release a short little demo before the full release as the library of songs in the game may be quite sizable, meaning that it WILL take a while.
So, in order to lighten up the load a bit, I have decided to open a sign up form if you want to volunteer and help us out. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
If you wish to volunteer, I recommend joining the discord server first, as we will be communicating a lot on the app. The sign up form should be in the announcements channel in the server.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Ludwig van Beethoven began to experience mild episodes of hearing loss when he was about 28 years old. His hearing loss grew progressively worse until he was left completely deaf at the age of 44. Contemporaries reported that he placed his ear to the piano while he played in order to sense the vibrations of his compositions. Beethoven even sawed the piano’s legs off to put his ear to the floor and pick up whatever vibrations rebounded off the surface. As he played with the instrument’s tone and volume, Beethoven could imagine the melodies in his head.

"A death mask is a likeness of a person's face after their death, usually made by taking a cast or impression from the corpse. Death masks may be mementos of the dead or be used for creation of portraits.
The main purpose of the death mask from the Middle Ages until the 19th century was to serve as a model for sculptors in creating statues and busts of the deceased person. Not until the 1800s did such masks become valued for themselves.
In other cultures a death mask may be a funeral mask, an image placed on the face of the deceased before burial rites, and normally buried with them. The best known of these are the masks used in ancient Egypt as part of the mummification process, such as the mask of Tutankhamun, and those from Mycenaean Greece such as the Mask of Agamemnon."
