i have really bad news about what actual mens rights activists think. they don’t believe transmen are men and don’t believe you should even have access to reproductive healthcare. a lot of them don’t even believe in the right to choose and they’re also violently transphobic and homophobic. think carefully about what you say because when you align yourself with the right you hurt ALL of us in the queer community ESPECIALLY your transmasc brothers.

1. The wording was so because us TRANSMASCS are always called “MRAs” for advocating for ourselves.

2. What you’re talking about is respectability politics and I don’t fucking care for that. Me using the phrase “men’s rights activist” once, in anger-driven irony, before then talking about real men’s issues (a lot of which affect transmascs) does NOT make the whole of the transmasc community look bad. Me using the phrase “men’s rights activist” does NOT harm the community, get fucking real.

the other night I had a dream that I was watching a new episode of a TV show I like and my fave male character takes his shirt off and he's got clearly visible top surgery scars. Absolutely no preamble or foreshadowing in previous episodes that this guy was trans just. there they are. and I was so overwhelmed by emotion that I had to stop the episode and get up and jab my finger at them bc the people watching with me had no idea what I was crying about. for context we do not have a TV, but a school-style projector onto a blank wall. so here's an artist's rendition of what it looked like (and how it felt)
