Day 30-31 of Old Art

Put Digby and all his lore on Artfight so I finally cleaned up some of the outfits I sketched for him months ago! He spends the first few months of his life wearing Steve's old clothes, which are often too big for him, but slowly he obtains clothing of his own from various people and starts dressing the way he wants to. Once he gets his own wardrobe he never wears yellow again ❌🟡

A lot of these are hand me downs, gifts or thrifted. Steve's mother knitted the sweater vest and Murph has made him various sets of leather gloves/belts/other small items over the years

Welcome to the House Keeping Coven

aka the HKC

aka Heck!

HKC acts as a sort of therapy coven by providing the EC and coven heads with some relief in the form of taking care of their chores, providing food, keeping them on schedule, and acting as therapists for all the members.  Pigeon herself is head maid and the emperor's personal caretaker, food prepper, and schedule keeper as he does not trust anyone else with these tasks. She cares deeply about all her coworkers, making sure they take their breaks, get their days off, and are treated almost like family. They all work together to keep the castle in tip top shape, do charity work on behalf of the EC, and though they are not one of the main nine they are one of the largest side covens to date, having members of different backgrounds and sigils be it EC or other HKC members are a branch of the emperor's coven, but not all carry the EC sigil, in fact only those with a triangle on their broach carry the sigil as most members are from the other nine covens. In short if the emperor's coven isn't a good fit for you or is too strict, or you find yourself feeling like you chose the wrong career path, or just need a job, this is the place to go. Applications are always open. (Please feel free to make your own member today using the reference sheet and adding your own personal touches ^^, do keep it wholesome and fun, and tag either HKC or House Keeping Coven) Sincerely

You can still be friends with people that have different opinions. Plus you can criticize a show while also being fan. The Owl House isnt perfect in mangalover's eyes and that's ok. Even though I see luz and hunter as siblings, it's totally fine with me if someone else ships them. I also just don't care much about what people ship unless it's problematic. I think they're a cool person and they've helped a lot with the zine

To be Hero X Agencies

So I've been thinking alot after Ep. 4 (for....reasons 🥲) but opened up and brought attention of somethings.

One of them being that we get to see more of other Hero Agencies, glimpses of how they operate, and what each of their "brand" is for the Hero Commission.I'd like to dedicated this post on the info that we know and my on personal theories on them.

TREEMAN

First off, we have the Treeman Group whose CEO is Mr. Shand. For their employed Hero/Villain rooster so far has featured:

Moon

Wreck

Firm Man

Blankster

Lin Ling ( new recruit )

From what we've seen, the mangers and staff take in precaution on how their heroes are depicted on stage, their meet-ups with fans, as well as crafting a boosting narrative for their heroes trust values to grow in the eyes of the fans. They are not above bribery, coercion, and stunt casting in order to push their quota ( as seen by the actions of Miss.J )

Also from what I've seen and gathered, it seems that Treeman possibly owns much of the real estate and city development in this world cause much of their promo features a lot of residential areas and shopping districts with their brand on them.

So maybe them hiring people to play the part of villains is because they are the ones who are able to rebuild plus reshape how fans live and consume.

FOMO

Up next is FOMO, which literally stands for "Fear of Missing Out". Their CEO seems to be this young guy named Zac. Their rooster so far consists of:

So from their general description they seem like the mostly are in tune with what regular people are doing, and finding out what's new and fresh.

From the look of their office space, FOMO it's the most colorful and lively of the 4 agencies. It gives off what a lot of start-up tech, social media, and web HQs like Google and Youtube.

It's possible that most, if not all, of their heroes started out as Influencers or people that became heroes through viral moments on the web. Maybe their dark side is that their heroes have to keep coming up with more new, and exciting acts or content to please their fans to keep raking in Trust Value.

It could be more possible that FOMO has the same guide lines like YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch. ( Which would be pretty bleak ^^')

MIGHTY GLORY

Third, we have Mighty Glory whose CEO is the mystery guy right here. Their rooster, as far as we know, consist of:

E-Soul

Ghostblade

Dragon Boy

Just looking at the main heroes they have, this agency mainly focuses on acquiring heroes that have a wide-ranged of fighting and physical skills.

They also seem to have morally gray code and ethics. Some not against pummeling or killing those that they deemed "deserve it".

My theories on the CEO is that he is collects and sees their heroes how a Roman Emperor does with Gladiators. They are valued solely on their combatant attributes and merciless displays, but are kept in line behind the scenes like wild animals or slaves.

DOS

And lastly, we have DOS. I have yet to find what it the abbreviation means, but this is their CEO, Mickey. Their hero rooster, so far in the show, consists of:

The Johnnies

So it seems like they are the largest AND most powerful agency out of the collective 4. It has a very...Disney way of acquiring more heroes to cultivate it's company.

They have means to tap into different markets of branding for their heroes.

On one brand, you can appeal to animal lovers and sell marketable mascot plushies, and on the other, you can appeal to pop star and music fans who want to see their favorite idol to succeed.

Not to mention they hold one of the strongest powerhouses to take the title of X.

O_O!!

Disney Evil! This company is willing to obtain and cultivate their heroes so it can become the most controlling Hero IP out in the world (This CEO is Steve Jobs and Bob Iger rolled into one).

So if their was ever a chance or motive for these agencies claim to dominance. it's DOS.

So I hope you enjoyed my on-the spot, collective analysis and ramblings on the agencies so far. I'm still holding on to some other theories and little details I spot that I want to post soon (hopefully a shorter one ^^')

I wanted to make a mini comic but I don’t really have the energy for that. Instead I ended up just sketching on two pages for this ask. Images under the cut cuz I know some people won’t want to see Luz being stabbed (though it’s not too graphic in my opinion it’s best to play it safe)

Yeah I guess I have been getting top 5 asks lol. Here are my top 5 shows/pieces of media in order:

1. The owl house - I’m pretty sure this one’s obvious lol. I love the story and the characters. I was always kinda childish for my age and it was hard to find friends so Luz’s story of not fitting in really resonated with me.

2. To be hero x - I started watching this with my sister recently and we’ve both been hooked lol. The story is so interesting and the power system is pretty unique. It’s an anthology series so I thought it would be hard to connect with the characters but every arc is well written in its own way

3. Dirk gentlys holistic detective angency - a time travel plot, a fantasy romance and a murder mystery! This show somehow has it all. The characters are amazing (my fav is dirk lol) and the friendship between the main three is great

4. Bullet train - this is a movie by David leitch and it is sooo good. The characters are fun and the visuals are great! The plot is also hilarious (while I love the movie I don’t go in the tags for it cuz it’s all filled with x reader fics now for like the same guy. I want to talk about the characters and the story not how apparently hot Aaron Taylor Johnson is lol. Lemon is so underrated tbh)

No hate to people who like x reader fics btw. I’m just not a fan.

5. Lego elves - I love this Lego theme/show. I’m really nostalgic for it and I loved the characters. Also I’m pretty sure this show is what got me into shipping as a kid lol

Jake’s story is tragic… it’s kinda the opposite of Luz’s story. Luz was an outsider who wanted friends and she got them. She got good friends, amazing friends, friends that won’t turns their backs on her when she makes a mistake. Jake, meanwhile, had friends who the moment he said that what that were doing was wrong, they immediately shut him down and called him stupid, and when he did did the right thing, they tried to kill him.

Oh, and here some other facts about Jake.

Jake had brown hairs, brown eyes, and light skin. He had a decent relationship with his family.

The Titan Blood is what made Jake survive the Springlock failure, but it was as bad, if not worse for Jake, as he lived through the extreme pain of the springlock failure.

Jake was an introvert while his ‘friends’ were extroverts.

As for the Diner…

It was called The Cat Family Diner. It opened in 1992 and closed in 1996 after an incident where three employees were killed in the suits during a birthday party.

Jake seems like a really good character and it’s pretty cool that he contrasts Luz. While I don’t think I can draw his backstory, I can draw Jake on his own (I was actually planning on doing a mini comic for a different complicated ask but my hand isn’t doing great rn so it’s just going to be a 2 page sketch that isn’t fully connected). I can definitely draw a sketch for Jake . It might take some time tho since I have a lot requests I still need to catch up on. If possible can you give me some more info about what Jake looks like? Is his hair curly, how old is he, etc. A reference picture would be ideal but I know some people can’t do that so it’s up to you (I honestly find it hard to draw from just words but do whatever works for you)
