One thing I've been thinking about a lot is how Will Byers (if he survives season 5) is more than likely going to die because of terminal illness. Multiple times in the show, people have described the air in the upside-down as toxic. The scientists entering/even AROUND the gate need to wear literal hazmat suits. And Will was in there for? A week? With no protection whatsoever?
