Former #AfterSchool Member Jung Ah To Get Married Next Year

Following Kahi, actress Jung Ah will be the second former After School member to get married!

Jung Ah will be tying the knot with Jung Chang Young, a professional basketball player for the Changwon LG Sakers.

On August 24, a source from her agency stated, “Jung Ah and Jung Chang Young will be holding a wedding ceremony next year on April 28. Jung Chang Young’s warm heart influenced her decision to marry him.”

“Jung Ah is planning on continuing her broadcast activities even after her marriage,” the agency added.

Jung Chang Young is five years younger than Jung Ah, and they have reportedly been dating for about a year.

#SHINee’s Minho Reveals What He’d Do If He Could Go Back In Time

On August 24, at the press conference for JTBC’s new web drama “Somehow 18,” SHINee’s Minho talked about time slips.

He revealed, “If I could go back in time due to a time slip, I want to go back to before I was seven years old, because I remember the least from that time. Because I was a child and can’t remember much from then, I would probably be able to experience my parents’ love even more.”

He then stated, “I would also like to go back to the early stages of my debut. I’d like to make up for my clumsy appearance then.”

“Somehow 18” is a high school romance drama about a high school loner who goes back in time to when he was 18 years old in order to save the life of his dead first love. It is the third web drama that JTBC is airing after “A Person You Could Know” and “Hip Hop Teacher.” It will air from August 28 until September 8 on Naver TV.

Channel A will be airing a new short track speed skating program!

“We Are Also National Athletes” (literal translation) is a special program where idols and other stars will take on the challenge of short track speed skating, one of Korea’s top winter sports. Lee Soo Geun will be the MC and Girls’ Generation’s Sunny and Hyoyeon, Kangnam, and Jeong Jinwoon will also provide support with their experienced variety skills. Tony Ahn and g.o.d’s Son Ho Young will lead the teams of stars including Sam Okyere, Takada Kenta, Teen Top’s Ricky, Berry Good’s Johyun, U-KISS’s Eli, model Lee Ho Yeon, HALO’s Ooon, and Kriesha Chu.

Berry Good’s Johyun will especially showcase her strong talent due to previous short track experience in elementary school. She commented, “This program is for me. It really feels like a dream.”

“We Are Also National Athletes” is a boom-up project for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The two teams are currently receiving 3-week intensive training and will compete against each other in individual 500 meter and relay events on August 29. The program will air its first episode in September.

#BTOB’s Changsub and #BAP’s Daehyun Share Feelings On Their Musical Experience

Recently, BTOB’s Changsub and B.A.P’s Daehyun did a pictorial with the September Issue of CeCi Magazine, following the success of their musical “Napoleon.” They have both been praised for their singing and acting in the part of Lucien, Napoleon’s little brother and political supporter, in the musical.

Daehyun, who performed on opening night, shared a few words on his feelings during the curtain call and said, “I realized that there is a lot I must do now. I tried really hard not to cry.”

Changsub, who started acting in musicals before Daehyun, shared his affection towards his role and said, “I  only hoped that I was able to portray Lucien just the way he is meant to be.”

The musical “Napoleon” will continue until October 2017.

Song Sun Mi’s Agency Release Statement On Actress’s Condition Following Husband’s Murder

Actress Song Sun Mi’s agency recently released a statement following the murder of her husband.

The actress’s 45 year-old husband was murdered on August 21, and currently, the police is investigating a 28 year-old man seen arguing with the husband before the incident occurred. According to a source from the police, the husband was stabbed for giving less money than he promised to the young man after asking for help with his grandfather’s inheritance. The husband later passed away at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital.

Currently, Song Sun Mi is in the midst of working on her drama, MBC’s “Return of Bok Dan Ji.” The producers of the show responded to the incident and said, “We wish our sincerest condolences to Song Sun Mi, who is going through a very difficult time. As far as filming goes, we have yet to discuss the matter.”

Song Sun Mi’s agency, JR Entertainment, also released an official statement which reads as follows.

“As reported by the news, Song Sun Mi’s husband fell victim to a horrible crime on August 21. Following the announcement, Song Sun Mi is in deep shock and sorrow. All those involved with the incident are currently under police investigation.”

“Song Sun Mi and her family are in deep mourning. Please be considerate to the victim and his family, who are suffering a great loss, and please refrain from posing speculative comments and sensational reports as much as possible.”

“We wish our sincerest condolences to the family.”
