At my niece's recital today. In between songs, we're all frantically checking the score for the game. Midway through, paused to whisper to those next to me: "We're going to the Stanley Cup finals!!!!"
Man, what a time to be alive. Go Knights Go!

Me, to my brother: "So, I was watching Deadpool 2 today, and there was a point in the movie where I went, "Huh, I guess the big romance for this movie is Deadpool/Colossus."

I also have to say, Nebula and Tony Stark is the team-up I never knew I needed. My extra deadpan murder sister paired up with Tony trying to bury the feels under his snark as they fly off Titan to get to Earth? Yeah, I'm gonna need about a dozen fics on that please.

I watched Coco today and it's definitely made its way into my top five favorite Pixar movies list. I think that it's one of Pixar's best and I cried a few times while watching it. Just an incredible movie, and absolutely beautiful as well.
(The rest of my list, btw, in no order besides the first: Monster's Inc., The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Up.)

So, my favorite part of Thor: Ragnarok was Loki's reaction to seeing Hulk.
Also: the Revengers are totally my favorite Marvel team now.

Just saw the Lego UCS Millenium Falcon at the Lego Store. Oh man, it's so big and beautiful. I want it so bad, but the price! I will have to make do with the version I already have, I guess.

So exhausted, wow. Drove down on Friday night right after work to my cousin's in LA. Had a hard time getting to sleep, but finally did probably after midnight? Then woke up around 3:30am and got to the Anaheim Convention Center just after 5:00am for a day at D23! We got lucky and were among the last people in line on the second floor. We were so glad we weren't a part of the giant mass of people outside! Everytime I walked by the window, it was amazing how much the group had grown! But we got to the floor around 9:15? We did the Dream Store, then Mickey of Glenndale's pin store (3 hours! Ugh!), and, in the evening, the Disney store. We only did one panel, which was the Ducktales (woohoo!) panel. We had considered doing the Parks panel, especially after hearing the rumor about Fantasmic's soft opening, but that overalapped with Ducktales so chose to do the latter. I'm happy with the decision, though, even if it means waiting a few more months to see the new version of Fantasmic!! During the Ducktales panel, the guy who wrote Fenton's first episode talked about how he wrote Fenton for Lin-Manuel Miranda even before he ever thought they could get Lin. His reasoning why Lin = Fenton cracked me up so much; as he went down his list, I kept laughing harder and harder because it is so true! After, we headed over to Disneyland to see about Fantasmic!! but it was way too packed. I made the decision not to watch it; I love Fantamic! and normally never miss it, but this is the new version, so the first time I watch it, I don't want to do it while trying to see over other people's heads. And we were way to tired to wait for the 10:30 show. Instead, we headed over to DCA to grab some dinner since my cousin hadn't tried any of the Summer of Heroes food yet. After, we headed back to my cousin's apartment and crashed after 20+ hours on our feet. Woke up way too early this morning, then got brunch. After, headed home, though not before a quick detour at my brother's for a couple of hours. Now I'm home and watching Youtube videos and will probably sleep soon.

Just got home from Disneyland and I had a blast, of course! Also, I have a new favorite ride at California Adventure. Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout oh my god. I think my new park strategy going forward will be rope drop, go to Hollywood Land to pick up a fastpass (unless Maxpass ever comes out and I opt to get that???), then cut through Bug’s Land to Car’s Land and single rider RSR. I mean, I like Tower of Terror and rode it if I got the chance, but Mission: Breakout has become a must ride for me.
So I got to the park Saturday morning right after 6:00 am. The line to get through security wasn’t too bad, and then it was waiting outside the main gate for California Adventure for almost an hour. They let us in at 7:00 am and it was just a rush to get to Hollywood Land from there, where the castmembers separated us into two lines, stand-by on the left and fastpass on the right. I was close enough to the front of the pack that I opted for standby. I was literally on the ride at 8:03 am. As I told others later, 2 hours waiting was nothing compare to the 5 hours posted wait time later that day! I probably could have ridden it again that day, but I decided I’d had enough of waiting in line for a fastpass (omg, even the line for the store was super long!) and besides, I was going to be meeting up with my cousin in an hour or so so we could do the parks together, and she would never ride a drop ride.
I did ride it three times on Sunday, though! I got a fastpass for the morning, then my mom got me one for the afternoon once she got to the park, then when another fastpass I got was up, I got another one for the evening. But despite riding it four times, I got the same song three times, argh! By the third time, I had memorized the drop sequence.
Also, I knew he was there from previous reports, but I was very pleased to see Harold in the collection.
I really spent quite a bit of time in Hollywood Land this weekend. Watched the Awesome Dance Off! twice, took a picture with Groot, got a baby Groot sipper that is adorable! Oh, and tried The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy, which was a bit spicy for me, but I am known for not being able to handle spice, haha. Also, got three of the GotG pins on Sunday when the line to buy things was finally doable, because I have a pin problem.

Oh, and because I watched the live action Beauty and the Beast earlier, here's a picture from Be Our Guest. I ate there for the first time during my Disney World trip, and while the food was okay, the ambiance was amazing! We had dinner in the West Wing right next to the rose! I think we were one of the last seatings of the night, so when we were finished, the restaurant was practically empty and we just wandered around taking everything in. Also, my reaction to the grey stuff: *takes bite* "Huh, it didn't really taste like any...oh. My. God."

This is the third set of these anniversary pins that I've gotten, though the first where I'll be keeping all three. One of the things I really love about these pins are how big they are. I wore the pirates and Edna Mode ones on my lanyard while I was at Disney World last week, and the most common comment I got on them was on their size.

Watching Moana for the first time since the Blu-ray came out, and was surprised to hear the music for Unstoppable playing during a scene. Learn something new every day!
