Fic Summary: No matter how hard Fives battled his feelings, he couldn't get Ahsoka out of his head. There were countless reasons why a relationship between them could never work and yet he continued to find himself being subconsciously drawn back to her. What's more, it was starting to seem as if her feelings were just as strong as his. But even if they somehow began a relationship, it would only be a matter of time before reality tore them apart.

Happy Fivesoka Friday! I am delighted to announce the prompts for Fivesoka Weekend 2025! 💙🧡

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted prompt suggestions and to everyone who voted. The “Caught (Kissing)” prompt won by a landslide and the other four prompts actually all tied for second!

As you can see, each day of the event (Sept 26, 27, 28) will have a prompt and an alternative prompt. You can do one prompt each day or try to incorporate all six (if you include the “Free Day” prompt). If you want to challenge yourself, try to post your submissions on the days that correspond with the prompts, but you’re welcome to submit anything any time during the event.

For the “Caught (Kissing)” prompt, the “Kissing” part is in parentheses because it is optional. This means that you can interpret the prompt as “Caught Kissing” or simply as “Caught”.

Bonus Material to Chapter Four - Captain’s Quarters

Hello there! This is some bonus material for Chapter Four - Captain’s Quarters.

Summary: Fives gets to the mess hall after meeting Ahsoka in Rex’s Quarters.

Rating: Teen and up.

Characters: Fives, Ahsoka, Echo, Kix, Jesse, Hardcase, and Captain Rex.

Fives walks into the mess with the biggest smile plastered on his face. His cheeks are pink. His eyes are far away. Echo notices it immediately.

“Echo?” Kix is looking at him with his food in midair. 

“I think something happened to Fives.” Echo says. He looks back at Kix. They all turn to see Fives getting his tray of food. 

Jesse raises an eyebrow. “Echo? I thought you said he told you to save him a pudding because I was a puffer pig and ate them all.” 

Echo nods. “He did.” 

“So why has he just grabbed his fourth one…scratch that. He’s getting five puddings.” 

Hardcase shrugs. “Maybe he's getting one for all of us.” 

Echo shakes his head. “I don't think so.” 

Kix straightens. “Here he comes. Don't stare.” They all look down at their food. 

Echo flinches. “Don't everyone look down!” 

Hardcase looks up. Jesse starts shoving food in his mouth. Kix looks at his data pad, which leaves Echo in a panic. He decides to also look at Kix’s data pad. Fives sits down, huge grin still on his face. 

“Why are you so happy?” Echo asks. They all look at Fives intently. 

He grabs a pudding and sighs. “Life is good, my bros.” He smirks. “Life is very good.” 

Echo eyes him suspiciously. “What happened to you? I thought you were just gonna drop off the data pad in the Captain’s quarters?” 

Fives smiles wider. “I did… just… I… just…. well… I just took my time getting here.” He wasn’t looking at anyone. Kix starts to say something, but shakes his head and starts eating. 

A minute later, Commander Tano walks in. She also has a huge smile on her face. Chevrons dark. Echo looks up to see that she also grabs quite a few puddings. 

Odd.

She walks to their table and sits next to Echo across from Fives. 

“Commander!” Echo says. 

They all salute. Fives just stares lovingly with his big grin. Ahsoka returns the grin. 

“Hey, Commander. Where’ve you been?” Jesse asks. “We thought you'd be here in the mess already.” 

She blinks. “Oh well… I just needed to get my data pad from Rex's quarters.” 

Hardcase drops his spoon. Jesse's food falls off his fork. Kix stops chewing. Echo’s jaw drops. Fives eyes are wide. Ahsoka looks around as they are all all staring at her. 

Hardcase points at Ahsoka. “Oh! Oh-Ohhh!” He points at Fives. “Ohhh-Ohhhh ohhh!!”  He points back at Ahsoka and then back at Fives. “Ohhhhhh Dude!!” He yells and gets up to pat Fives on the back. “You dog!” 

Jesse gets up and hugs the commander. “Awe!” 

Kix is still dumbfounded. Echo just stares at Fives. Both still with their jaws dropped. 

Echo shakes his head. “You… did you…. And…. Commander?!!!! We…we leave tomorrow! You…oh my gosh!” 

He puts his hands over his face. Ahsoka brings his hands down.” Echo. Nothing happened. It's okay.” 

Fives grins. “Well… I wouldn't say “nothing happened.”

Echo and Ahsoka at the same time, “Fives!” 

Hardcase starts howling, “Ooooooo!!!! That’s my Boy!!” He ruffles Fives’ hair and fist bumps Jesse. 

Fives and Ahsoka look at each other and snicker.

Echo thinks this day can’t get any worse. 

“Captain on deck!” Someone in the mess yells. Everyone’s eyes go big. 

Kix mumbles, “Oh crap.”

Ahsoka sees her data pad in Rex’s hand as he combs the mess looking for her. Once he sees her he starts walking toward the table.

“Kriff.” Echo says. 

Fives’ back is to the Captain but he can hear his footsteps getting closer.

“Commander. Boys.”

“Sir!” They all salute.

“Commander, I sent your data pad with Fives to my quarters so you could pick it up. Did you not make it after all?”

Ahsoka’s eyes are wider than Fives had ever seen. “Uh…I, uh…” 

Hardcase salutes Rex. “Sir! I saw the Commander coming towards your quarters and I intercepted her before she went in.”

“Intercepted?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Why?”

“Sir! You must be aware that it’s Pudding Day, Sir! I told the Commander that she needed to get as many as she could before Jesse ate them all!”

Rex looks at the ensemble of puddings between Ahsoka and Fives’ food trays. “Good man!” He points at Jesse. “Know your limits, soldier.” He gives Ahsoka her data pad, grabs one of the puddings and leaves the mess hall. 

They all look at each other and start laughing uncontrollably.

As Fives and Echo are flying through hyperspace, he smiles to himself, thinking about Ahsoka…and the kiss they finally shared.

Worst Mission Ever

 I have never written these two before...so it's a premiere? 😂

Written for the prompt "I dare you" "To what?" "Kiss me."

The rec room was empty except for them, and for once, was actually quiet aside from the holo playing.

Most of the 501st had bolted the second shore leave was granted, off to 79’s or wherever the mood struck. Fives hadn’t been in the mood for a loud, crowded night. Somehow, this had sounded better, just hanging out with Ahsoka, the two of them curled up on the same couch that had, without discussion, become their unofficial spot for unofficial holo nights.

It was their fourth night like this in as many weeks. Not that he was counting. Every time, it felt a little less like coincidence.

The show was a drama series she had introduced him to. He actually liked it, cheesy as it was sometimes, but the plot wasn’t what had his attention tonight. Not with her sitting next to him this close. Stealing glances and biting back little smiles at his commentary. She pretended not to notice when their knees brushed. At some point, they had stopped trying to keep space between them. Her arm rested against his. Her leg pressed alongside his. Neither of them moved.

He wasn’t sure when it had started, whatever this was, but he knew it had been building. In the little touches that lingered, conversations that lasted too long. The way she laughed at his jokes a little harder than she needed to. There were a dozen reasons why this was a terrible idea.

“You’re really sticking with your theory?” she asked, nodding toward the screen.

“I’m telling you,” he said, smirking, “it’s the assistant. She’s the double agent.”

Ahsoka gave a doubtful hum. “You’re guessing.”

“I’m right.”

“You’re full of it.”

He tilted his head. “Wanna bet?”

“Bet what?”

“Your dignity. What’s left of it, anyway, popcorn crumbs.” He nodded at her shirt.

She glanced down, brushed the crumbs away, and gave him an indignant look before tossing a piece of popcorn at him. He caught it and ate it without missing a beat.

They kept watching. Two more episodes passed, and sure enough, he was right. When the twist hit, he didn’t say anything, just shot her a smug look.

She groaned and sagged against him, maybe with a little more force than necessary. Her montrals smacked him in the face.

“Sorry,” she winced.

“It’s fine, no blood no harm,” he said, rubbing his chin.

She gave him a skeptical glance but didn’t move. She stayed there, leaning into him.

The screen flickered. They both kept glancing at each other in the soft light. At some point, his arm had moved around her shoulders, and she hadn’t shrugged him off.

She was looking at him. Her gaze dropped to his mouth. He saw the shift in her expression, the hesitation, the flick of her tongue across her lower lip. He realized how close they were.

Then she pulled back. “Fives… we can’t.”

“I know.” And he did. But something about this moment felt too right to let it vanish like it hadn’t happened.

“What if I dared you?” he asked, the words out of his mouth before he could stop them.

“To what?” she asked, wary.

He swallowed, his mouth suddenly dry. “Kiss me.”

She leaned in.  The kiss started soft, careful, like they were testing the shape of it. Her lips brushed his, and he answered. Her hand slipped into his hair, his fingers found her jaw. The kiss deepened, grew bolder. She shifted against him, closer, and he felt lightheaded at the rush of it.  Everything they had been dancing around finally snapped into place.

She pulled away, breath catching, lips parted.

“I have to go,” she said, already standing.

His mind reeled. “What? Why?”

“I have an early briefing.”

“What briefing?” he asked.

“You know,” she said, like it was obvious.

He really didn’t, but he couldn’t think straight enough to argue.

The door slid open, then shut.

Fives sat there, dizzy, stunned, his lips still tingling. His heart was pounding.

Well kriff. There was no way he was ever getting her out of his head now.
