Hey so finals are kicking my ass but I would like to provide some perspective for any fellow Americans right now that was honestly inspired by a bearded blue collar guy on TikTok last night.

So if you made 1 mil a year and you worked a 40 hour work week like a lot of us do you would be making roughly 500$ an hour.

Now minimum wage was made to be a livable wage, in more populated states like California and New York minimum wage is about 16$ an hour give or take a few bucks on the year as of the 2020s. So you can make 500$ an hour but 16$ an hour is supposed to be livable?

Now we all know I wasn’t really talking about a million being insane, if you made 1BILLION a year with a 40 hour work week is almost 500,000$ an hour.

So obviously Elon Musk doesn’t make money in a traditional sense, he gets a compensation package based on like stock stuff? And in 2024 shareholders approved him for a 56 billion compensation. All together his estimated net worth this year is over 400 billion USD. Money has been a system used for roughly 5,000 years, that’s 80 million a year for him in theoretics. In California I see million dollar houses, I think wow maybe if I ever won the lottery. What on earth could I even do with 80 of those.

This wealth disparity is not just going to magically get better until we actually play an active roll. Maybe you don’t want to start a revolution but we’ve been nearing or are in that crisis stage of the fever model when it comes to them anyways.
