Game of Thrones season 8 - a season to remember forget!

I think the worst part about the ending of GoT for me is the opening credits.

If you pay attention to each of the banners, there are two depictions that show previous events in the series.

The first is the most recent, that being the Night King and Viserion destroying the Wall to lead the AotD down South. There’s clearly a skeletal dragon breathing fire against a large structure; it’s not hard to guess what it is.

The second banner is that of, what I believe to be, the Red Wedding. In the center is a hanging man from what seems to be the Twins with a wolf’s head and arrows sticking out from the body. On the right is a flayed man with a knife and wolf’s head (the Boltons.) On the left is a Lion, obviously signifying the Lannisters.

However, in the final panel is an event that never comes to pass. From what it shows, there is one large dragon with three smaller dragons in front of it, the sight of a shooting star passing overhead as they fly above a few horses nurturing the grass. At first I had thought it to be the endgame; the final moment in the series where perhaps Drogon had laid a clutch of dragon eggs and it ends with House Targaryen sitting on the Throne once more, whether it be Daenerys by herself or with Jon at her side as Aegon. But, instead, nothing whatsoever pointed in the direction of more dragons being born. If anything, with Jon’s banishment and the death of Daenerys, the House of Dragons will fizzle out into the pages of history, with the last living memory of them for most is the last act of terror one committed.

D&D killed off Missandei ONLY bc they knew she would have to stand up for Dany when Varys and Tyrion were talking shit, and that having her support would make Dany’s MaD qUeEn plot even less believable than it already is.

Nathalie Emmanuel has expressed her appreciation for fan outrage about this. Our outrage at the destruction of the show’s only WOC. Our outrage at the destruction of Dany’s only positive relationship left and a beautiful female friendship.

So when you pop off about how it’s just pressed Dany stans mad that their theories are wrong or whatever, you’re basically ignoring and criticizing Nathalie’s entirely justified comments and disappointment over the racist and sexist implications of Missandei’s death and its plot purpose.
