i don't talk about sirius x older women as often as i talk about sirius x older men because it's not even funny when he likes an older woman. an older guy he's flirty and makes sexual jokes and dresses up to go tempt him away from his wife and kids but when he likes an older woman he just needs Approval and he lays in bed for three days straight and doesn't eat or sleep if she ignores him twice in a row and if she's, god forbid, mad at him he's actually on the verge of suicide and has to be held back by 2-3 people

that’s an utter lie, sirius inherited the fashion genes

and dolores, with her closet full of pink robes - none of which are remotely similar despite all giving off the same saccharine vibe immaculately, calls him out on it, because she knows what selecting clothes to purposely impose an image of oneself looks like and its not that

he despises that she’s right

yet, the next slug club meeting, while she complains that he has to go, rolls her eyes at the mention of her least favourite professor, she teaches him how to dress in the privacy of his dorm

the next weekend, he takes her out to diagon alley and roams the shops with her, because he acknowledges the importance of appearance, that’s all, just to learn

just learning turns into him picking out a locket for her, elegant and pretty and tasteful, he presents it - though he wouldn’t admit - proudly, just to prove he’s learned about fashion, of course

that’s also the reason why he buys her a ring in seventh year, when his mother begins pressuring him to begin the search for a bride as the last male member of the black family, just because it’s pretty, definitely not so he could experience sliding a ring on her finger at least once, before the wizarding world tears them apart
