Chapter 215-216 spoilers!!

In the new chapter, we learn nothing about Modri and Sebastian's relationship- but we get a new mysterious bald character. The character is shown in all black. Many people in the fandom think that this character is a character we know, Soma as an example. Those theories make more sense than mine, but i still want to share my theory :>

The character is all black and we think that it's because Yana doesn't want us to recognize them, but what if it is their- or more like its actual form? Or what if they are a character without a true form, like Sebastian?

In the Book of Atlantic, Undertaker stabs Sebastian and we see his cinematic record. But what if Undertaker saw more than that? What if he manipulated a creature with Sebastian's memories to use it against him? Such as the creature taking the form of Modri- Sebastian's potential situationship- to gain his trust.

Sebastian first says "You are..." as if he knows Modri, but if he realized that it is not Modri and said "Who are you again?"- That would make the creature confused.

"But he can't lie to O!Ciel! He said he doesn't know him!"

Yes but O!Ciel asked who this guy was, not who Modri was. And it wouldn't be unusual for Sebastian to not know who that creature was. We see Sebastian dodging telling truth many times.

In the first pages we saw "Modri" troubled. But what if it's just the creature being troubled because the plan didn't work? And what if they changed their form to spy Sebastian and O!Ciel?

And Sebastian might be avoiding them because he doesn't want to concern O!Ciel. Or maybe he doesn't see the mysterious bald guy as a threat

In short, i think Undertaker manipulated a creature to work for him to use them against Sebastian with his memories, the creature acted like Modri because it was a person Sebastian "trusted" and Sebastian noticed that they were not Modri and decided to act like he doesn't remember Modri. The creature decided to take a different form because Sebastian "didn't recognize" Modri.

My native language isn't English and I know this doesn't make a lot of sense, I just had this idea. If you have questions please ask TvT

William Scott & Lilies

Probably unrelated, but after realising how many names in common there are across Yuumori and how sensei likes to make reference to real and fictional historical people, I thought I’d look up William Scott.

Turns out, there’s a famous painter called William Bell Scott who lived in Britain in the 19th century and painted some famous lilies …

Sebastian is a not a cisgender man.

As far as canon goes, he is not gendered at all. Even his pronouns usage in the original text is explicitly devoid of gender: He refrains from using any other pronoun but 私, which is notably not marked by gender-tie. Of course, pronouns do not equate gender overall — but it is additional proof that Sebastian is not characterized via gendered speech where he could be were it something of utter importance to him.

He happened to pick a form that would offer him the most control within the household, respect inside of the English society, and proximity to his Lord; it merely happened so that said form looks like a man.

Sebastian is capable of changing appearance on a whim and has demonstrated taking form of animals, shadows, slithery tentacles, and so on. It's utterly hilarious to assume that he, or other demons if we are to ever encounter them, ascribes to the limited idea of the gender binary and essentialism of biological sex.

Could Sebastian have forgotten his past?

Black Butler Chapter 215 spoilers

We know that in the last chapter, Modri freaks out about Sebastian not remembering him, but what if him forgetting Modri isn't just him forgetting Modri in particular?

At the end of the Curry Arc, Sebastian tells Agni "This is my first time hearing that from someone else" when Agni calls him a "Friend" and Sebastian says "Since I have never had a friend before..." in Anthology to Ciel.

Now, I find it impossible that Sebastian didn't have any friends in the past, before he became a demon.

(If he was a human) It would be impossible that he spent his whole fucking life being alone. If he wasn't an introvert lvl9999 and died at a really young age not having any friends would be impossible

(If he was a fallen angel) Maybe when he fell, he forgot his memories as an angel. But that means Modri was an angel too, and he fell because of something he did with Sebastian same gender sex or something Sebastian did. But that means Modri would forget his memories too. (Maybe I'll make a theory about it)

Back to my point, I think something happened and Sebastian forgot his past. I think Sebastian and Modri met before they/Sebastian became a demon. Sebastian didn't forget Modri in particular, he forgot all of his past before he became a demon.

Time to yap about the cover

First we see the red, which symbolizes sacrifice, danger, courage.activity, passion, sexuality, anger, love, and joy. (Damn that's a lot) And white, which symbolizes purity, perfection, honesty, cleanliness, and beginnings.

The red is inside white, the white is more obvious.

I think that it means how even though William started a new life, a new beginning, more "clear" life, he still holds his old feelings.

In the 1st Volume, the background is red and he is holding a gun against his head. showing how he is ready to put himself in danger and sacrifice himself. (And also how he is "active" as the LoC)

On this cover, those things are subdued by white, but they are still here. Even though he is now "clean" and started a new life, he still has those feelings, or subduing them with his "perfection"
