BAM OC ATTACK!!!! I usually don't post oc stuff, but I've been thinking about them a lot and have a deep primal urge to show them off. These are my longest standing ocs, they've been through A LOT of changes over the ears (I made Cayde and nova when I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL and I'm 20 now..... good lord.) They're my babies and mean everything to me (and I'm more than happy to answer any questions about them!!)

These characters are from a world called Aion, which is segregated into three sections: the Beneath, the Surface, and the Above. There are three primary species, excluding animals and the like: humans (and their bots), neoves, and cherubs. Humans are the lowest class, and have been forced to live beneath the ground. Most have never seen the sun, as traveling (legally) between the layers is forbidden, and the only way to do so is through a subtly elevator. The Beneath is grimy and most residents are cynical and cold, and they keep up a day/night cycle with a artificial sun affixed above major cities (if you live in a small town, you're fucked.)

The surface is sleek and clean, and home to neoves. While humans have no magic, neoves have element based abilities. By using a trigger item, a Neove can use their abilities, relating to one of the main elements: Fire, water, Earth, Air, light, or, on very rare occasions, Energy. Neoves are very high tech and generally high class, somewhat snooty, but don't let that scare you away from them.... many are still kind, and look out for their fellow neoves, and even humans...

Lastly, there is the Above. This is made out of floating islands, high above the ground, and is inhabited by the highest species in this society.. Cherubs. There are two kinds of cherubs, angels and demons. All cherubs have magic they can use freely, and they do not require a trigger item. All have a sort of... "super" form that they take on either when their magic/emotions become unstable, or they can do it at well.. however, this form can often come with negative side effects for the user. The main difference between demons and angels... is diet. Demons must consume flesh to stay healthy, and because of this butcher shops are very common on the islands, and it's wildly accepted that after one dies, they will be sold as food, and most have no issue with it. Most. Legally, one can only process already dead meat, but many shops do... kill to get their supply, or go through other shady methods...

The characters and which race they belong to follow the order I explained them in (slide one = humans, etc), except for three exceptions. Firstly, Cayde is a bot, not a human, pretty self explanatory. Ris is originally from the Above, and has not idea where they came from... they're not from this world, and ending up here one day, and have taken it on as their home. Lu is also not a cherub, or any of the listed species. Honestly, I don't... have a name for their species yet, but both lu and ris would reject that sort of thing... they have their names, that's all they need. I'd love to talk more about the characters as individuals, but this is long enough already..... so I will save that info for a later date :3
