genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back

I need more of Jet, Zuko, and Jin as a squad in my life. AU where Jet never sees Iroh heating the tea and life gets exponentially worse for everyone in Ba Sing Se. Zuko enjoys crime but has Morals about it, which drives Jet so nuts that they cannot crime together. Jin is mostly here for vibes; these two morons are funny and also without her they’re going to murder everyone else and then each other. You can almost hear Lan Zhan's thoughts of "why does he have to be attractive, hes so annoying. Why is he capable too. This is horrible. He's so pretty and for what. Why is this happening to me. Why does it have to be him."

Whereas Wei Ying is just "Lan Zhan is so amazing and so beautiful and I wanna be his boyfriend so bad, he's so good at everything, I want him to notice im good at everything too! I feel like Wei Wuxian doesn’t get jealous of people admiring his husband but proud because, yes, his husband is the best, thank you for noticing. Of course Lan Wangji is amazing. This is simply the natural order of the universe.

So conversely whenever someone doesn’t think the world of Lan Wangji Wei Wuxian is immediately like ‘what is wrong with you’. This Does Not Compute for him. Immediate offense. Full on three hour lecture about Lan Wangji’s many, many great qualities. Power point and pictures included.

Why Bachira x Isagi (Blue Lock) is One of the Best Ships of All Time

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR UP TO CHAPTER 86 OF THE MANGA

I’ll be honest and say that while Isagi and Bachira’s dynamic in the first arc was cute, it wasn’t anything that stood out to me too much. It seemed like a very typical sports anime type relationship at first. The main character shoots. His friend is there for him and passes to him so he can shine. They have good chemistry. They achieve results together that would be un-imaginably amazing compared to when they were apart. We’ve seen it so many times before already. Kageyama and Hinata, Kuroko and Kagami, Mihashi and Abe; the list goes on.

That all stops when the second selection starts.
