Arguably the most realistic FE siblings. They get on each other's nerves quite a lot, but at the same time the love they have for each other is clear as day.

Eirika & Ephraim:

You can't stop them. They will decide to do something and now that is absolute fate and you're powerless to avoid it- literal forces of nature. It's hard to get on their bad side but if you're there they will both equally shatter your atom into nothingness. Their friendship bracelets are the plot device. They trained together as little kids- they were trusted with big stabby things as babies- and they're both still alive. Absolute units

Veyle spent her time searching for her sibling, in the times she was free of her father’s control- Holding onto hope to see them again

Alear learned to love again- After seeing so many of their siblings die in horrific ways, all in the hands of their father. They entrusted their dragon stone to Veyle- Something so precious, to reassure her

Even when neither of them recognized each other- There still was an invisible bond between them. Tender care and worry about the other. Veyle helping Alear and Alear helping Veyle.

Alear died protecting Veyle- Alear helped Veyle break free from mind control-

Mercedes & Emile:

Their story is so sad. They survived a horrid man together, but were separated. Mercedes lives with guilt and a desire to have her brother return(I'd even argue that the reason Mercie acts as such a doting big sister figure for most people is because she misses Emile so much and wants to recreate that bond with someone!), but Emile is swamped with demons. On so many paths, they long to have their sibling bond restored, but Emile fears the Death Knight too much to reciprocate and often dies as a result, leaving Mercie to mourn him. On Crimson Flower, Mercedes can wind up betraying her Faerghus friends, but at least they reunite, and yet… even here, Emile has built up walls. Even if they're paired together, Emile leaves for years and only returns once his penance is paid. They have to spend so much of their lives apart.

It might be a bit cliche, but the yin yang dynamic is everything to me here. Mercedes representing healing and warmth, growing from your pains into someone kind, vs. Emile who embodies mental anguish, stagnation, violence and pain while still having the potential to grow is still interesting and cool. You also have the sacrifices Emile made, Mercedes remembering his favourite sweets even a decade after they parted, etc. Their supports are bittersweet but end on a promising note. I care too much about 3d pixel people.

Camilla & Elise:

when camilla just goes straight for the axe in warriors cuz the main squad seemingly threatened elise. she finds so many creative ways to threaten to kill anyone who dares even think about harming elise

What they go through together- How they support each other-

The way Alcryst, views Diamant as flawless, an image Diamant tries so much to maintain yet it hurts him so. That even that image is distilled in Alcryst. An image led to how he is today.

Yet despite the belief that Diamant is so flawless, so strong, Alcryst still wishes to kill his Corrupted father, so Diamant doesn’t have to bear that burden himself.

Timerra & Fogado:

My fave of the Engage royal siblings!! Timerra is so happy at any chance to see Fogado, and Fogado is happy just by the fact Timerra is happy- Both project an air of care-freeness that isn’t entirely true.

Fogado works his best to support his sister, in any way he can. While Timerra, sometimes, she just wants to be with her brother.

Also their support chain is great. Fogado gives her a little doll that’s meant to look like him. 💗

Pandreo & Panette:

Canonically used to slug it out (Panette Corrin Bond Support)

But on a more serious note, both deeply care about each other. Pandreo holds no grudge against Panette choosing to run away- In fact, he’s glad she did.

Panette holds so much bad memories of the church- But chooses to go, because it’s Pandreo’s church now.

Also they have matching names that’s adorable.

honestly i'm just obsessed with the latest forging bonds for diamant where like. sharena is trying to befriend him obviously and going "i heard you're sad because your retainers aren't here so i'm your retainer now! this'll be fun!" and immediatly after alfonse says "I'm here because i heard you need two." fantastic. sharena gets shafted so hard though i'm sad abt it. like can we give these siblings room to realize they r kind of fucked up internally. i wish they had more screentime actually meaningfully interacting with each other :(

they r just silly i like them :) they both have Problems chrom's r just plot relevant but i think they should hug more to be less insecure. isn't it wild that lissa had a lifelong fear that she's secretly a bastard until owain was born. that she's just silly haha look a frog but deep down she wonders if she's her siblings' sister at all. man.

Ike & Mist:

Classic sibling duo! Big bro who will do anything to protect little sis, except little sis wants to prove she can protect big bro too! But it goes deeper than just that. I really love the insight into their dynamic after Greil's death. The basic traits of their dynamic are amped up because they're afraid, afraid of losing each other after they're the only thing the other has left. Ike has to get stronger, stronger than Greil, stronger than the Black Knight - because he can't die and leave Mist. He can't be that cruel. And Mist needs to find any excuse to still stand next to him. She'll never be as strong as Ike, that she knows, but if she can heal him when he's injured, if she can make him safe with her own two hands, that is enough. She cannot sit in wait, cannot live in fear that he will be there one day and gone the next, just like Greil. And these reactions to grief are basically the same thing - a desire for power so tragedy doesn't need to repeat itself. How they come about power is different, but they're the same at their core.
