Arguably the most realistic FE siblings. They get on each other's nerves quite a lot, but at the same time the love they have for each other is clear as day.

Eirika & Ephraim:

You can't stop them. They will decide to do something and now that is absolute fate and you're powerless to avoid it- literal forces of nature. It's hard to get on their bad side but if you're there they will both equally shatter your atom into nothingness. Their friendship bracelets are the plot device. They trained together as little kids- they were trusted with big stabby things as babies- and they're both still alive. Absolute units

Idea: An AU where Luthier is the one blessed with immense magical talent and potential while Delthea is an average mage. Their personalities, life goals, and gender identities are the same, but their famed ancestor was male and males were the ones more easily inheriting strong magics.

How would this AU be different from canon Gaiden/SoV to you?

Honestly? I don't think it'd be that different.

Their sibling dynamic would be mostly the same, with Luthier constantly pushing Delthea to train since she "has to compensate with hard work".

Delthea would likely (and rightfully) rebut that even if she were to bother she'd never catch up to him, which Luthier wrongfully interprets as her giving up rather than the fact she doesn't care about becoming a mage.

Although Luthier would likely be the one to get kidnapped by the Duma Faithful (especially since he's as socially inept as always) and his sister is the one who freaks out and asks the Deliverance's help. (Oh hey I made a fic about this look at that)

The events of the Sluice Gate would push Delthea to at least try a little (if only for self-defense), but other than that it'd stick pretty closely to canon.
