I am sorry but how I was supposed to be his student and only see him as my professor?? If I was in his class, I would just attempt to become top student to get his attention.. It would go like “Professor Jones, I just wrote 50 page essay on ethical methods in archeology. Can I hand it in?”

Then I would sleep on his chest. Cute shit. 💗 And he probably sleeps like that because he served in The First World War.
According to ROTLA and Temple of Doom, Indy is a heavy sleeper and sleeps on his back

Someone, who I considered a close friend, tried to gatekeep Indiana Jones franchise from me because of their personal experience with Indy movies. Never fucking use your trauma and mental health to gatekeep POPULAR culture. You are just being an ass.

My daily affirmations as Indiana Jones fan :
- Indiana Jones is a movie trilogy (Sorry, The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and The Dial Of Destiny)
- Indy's aromantic and that's why he doesn't have a constant love interest. He is also not the most monogamous man.
- Short Round became the great man who also studied archeology, became a professor like Indy was.
- The only flaw of The Temple Of Doom was orientalism. It would have been less controversial if it was more respectful.
- Indiana Jones and The Great Circle was the best Indiana Jones games alongside with LEGO Indiana Jones.
- Indiana Jones ≠ Han Solo.
- Marion Ravenwood was never Indy's love. He just trauma bonded and never fell in love with her.
- Indiana Jones is a commitment phobe.
- He has ADHD.
- And he was SA'd by Elsa in The Last Crusade during the chair scene.

Okay but when Spalko says "I knew I needed to bring more sensitive pressure point" the soviets bring Short fucking Round who is an adult now but still a chaotic soft boi. And Indy would just hug the life out of him and sob like a rain. What if that happened???

Ever since I made this blog dedicated to Indiana Jones, I always wanted to use it to vent about frustrations I have with this franchise without sounding like an angry reddit hipster. I recently rewatched The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and at first... it was great? Mutt randomly showing up was chaotic but fun, revealing that Indy had good friends he needs to repair relationships with, mentioning that he lost his father and guardian gave good potential to develop his attachement issues, action on motorcycle.. cool asf!! Indy denying aliens having anything to do with Mesoamericans?? Peak woke behaviour. WW2 involvement?? Yes! Indy being framed as public enemy??? Cool ! They are finally stretching Raiders ending. And Indy being sexy as an old man? Yes. And all that development falls down when the movie becomes about that stupid nostalgic pairing.. I expected Oxley and Indy being a duo.. Since the movie starts with him missing and it was the main plot. Marion Ravenwood was never a good character cope. She never matured. The problem becomes when Indy goes from "Yes, Mutt, I support your own wishes" to "You gotta do what I tell you because I am a revealed to be your father!!" THAT'S NOT MY INDIANA JONES. WRITERS IGNORED HIS ARC IN THE TEMPLE OF DOOM!!! HE WOULD NEVER PUSH SOMETHING ON SOMEONE HE LEARNED NOT TO. Truck scene proves how writers treated all women Indy had romantic / sexual relationships with (movies, minus s*x offender Elsa, comics, books, The Young Indiana Jones series) to be just "plenty of women" in his life in such a sexist or misogynistic way. No, Marion Ravenwood doesn't have a moral high ground. Indy did good when he ran away TWICE from her. She never showed empathy towards him. She was selfish. It's okay to be hurt and frustrated but learning to show empathy helps you heal too. If Marion saw that and shown understanding to Indy's emotional repression, it would heal her own trauma. Not immediately but it would give her a route of working on herself and how to treat people from past. When Indy says "They all had one problem [...] they weren't you, honey." seems to be only thing that gets Marion better??? Beg your finest pardon but that's called POSSESSIVENESS and gives OBSESSIVE vibes. When someone is your ex, you don't pry about their sexual / love life then mention your past relationship. True love is bullshit trope. Anyway.. Like suddenly after that she starts to work with Indy. I used to hate Mutt but now? I love him! Him and Short Round are Indy's two bravest sons. This whole thing affected Mutt too... Writers rushed reveal so bad! AND they never explain how Indy got Marion pregnant?? Afraid to talk about sex? Not asking them to do that, just an explanation. Indiana Jones had perfect climax of his arc in The Last Crusade. The Kingdom Of the Crystal Skull started good then ah... they ruined it. Mary Williams could have been a new character, not Marion's Clark Kent bullshit. She could have been Ox's loving wife, not this. Mutt could have been his son and Indy to be his uncle figure. And Marion rolling eyes when Indy is afraid to snakes???? Sibling, you knew him for decades why is his phobia joke to you??????? This was my vent. Let me know if you have any thoughts. I need to discuss this.

I love crossover ships so damn much, so that's why I'm inventing Jonathan Carnahan x Indiana Jones. Yeah, finally back on my queer agenda.

I remember when Crystal Skull came out and I was confused as to why the plot ends with Indy getting married. Keep in mind I only was exposed to Last Crusade, so in my mind it didn't really make sense for Indy to tie the knot and not be a manwhore. Also, it doesn't make any sense considering that Indy already has an established son character - Short Round. Obviously they're not biologically related, but Indy has more of a connection with Shorty and doesn't come off as forced. Dude, like, you and I both know Indy shows way more father qualities when interacting with Short Round (e.g. "Shorty, where's my razor", arguing in Mandarin while playing poker, Indy going into protective dad mode and telling the cultists to leave Short Round alone because he's just a kid who has absolutely nothing to do with this ordeal, Indy explaining that Shorty kinda imprinted on him like a duckling while trying to pickpocket him, the whole fortune and glory speech, Indy explaining the lore behind the stones, etc.). And according to the wiki, somewhere in the lore Indiana actually legally adopted Short Round and sent him to boarding school and keeps up with him. Indiana Jones has a son and his name is Short Round (I don't remember what his actual birth name is)
Whole Indiana Jones fandom HAS to agree that Indy bounces between being a manwhore ans a single dad to Short Round. I doubt his ass would actually go back to Marion because their relationship ALMOST made him NOT beat problematic allegations Abner created against him. People love that ship because they also love to erase Indy's implied whorism. In my head, Indy's aromantic at this point. *side eye*

I saw Last Crusade again last night. 10/10 experience. Wish they could re-release Raiders and Temple of Doom so I can fawn over my himbo archeologist on the big screen again
The Last Crusade was so amazing. It's my favourite Indiana Jones film because we finally learned why Indy acted the way he often did in previous movies. Also he was super sexy and I went feral over him that my own father needed to leave because he got a second hand embarrassment from my simping.
