Rising out of the Temperley province in southwest Buenos Aries, Cristian R has firmly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the underground dance arena. Now making a welcome return to Particles, Cristian R fires up his "Spaceship".
An interest sparked from Argentina's famous "Energy Radio" as the new millennium began to appear over the horizon; Cristian Ramirez sought inspiration from the towering forces of Danny Tenaglia and Deep Dish. Fast-forward to 2015 and a sound that has matured since 2009's "Lost City" EP for Deepsessions Recordings is influenced by a triumvirate of luminaries that include Digweed, Sasha and fellow countryman Cattaneo.
A regular on the DJ circuits of his hometown, Cristian R has developed a steady stream of fans through his live work and appearances on Proton Radio via the popular "VS" show. As a music producer, Cristian has continued to reap significant rewards through his work for a host of Proton roster labels, not least in the recent collaborative work with Kasall and the "Flying" and "Eastern Sounds" EPs that provided success on Movement and Flow. Furthermore, the duo's "Outer Space" EP realised a notable career highlight with a release on Cattaneo's Sudbeat imprint.
Returning to label after a pair of tracks on the multi-faceted "Summer Particles 2014", we are delighted to welcome back Cristian R with his twin-track, rocket fuelled, "Spaceship".
Opener, "Bamboo Forest" is a densely textured affair and an apposite reflection of its title. Smooth layers of sustained pads drift through unhindered, building elegantly as they evolve to the mid point. A collection of scattered effects brings the forest floor to life as raindrops can be heard through subtle percussive riffs and endless reverberation.
The title track itself is an intelligent blend of strong beats and weighty rhythms as percussive interplay is a further strong component that helps anchor rich sub-bass frequencies within "Spaceship". Smooth arpeggiated riffs begin to emerge over time as the rhythm section becomes ever more complex and intricate. Spot effects saturated in reverb and delay adds further depth and intrigue to a piece that captures images of deep space and epic voyages.
Through his gleaming "Spaceship", Cristian R continues to see his career take off in roaring fashion.

Guy J's remix of 'My Tears Don't Help Me', forthcoming as part of 'The Healing' EP.
Follow Guy J here: @guy-j Follow Jamie Stevens here: @jamiestevens
The 40th release on microCastle welcomes Jamie Stevens back to the label for a new EP. The Australian producer is making his fifth appearance on the Canadian imprint which follows his critically acclaimed 'The Wonder of You' EP from 2013. Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought after music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary electronic music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian live act, he’s left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha – Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion has received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work. More recently Jamie’s solo discography has been highlighted with a contribution to John Digweed and Nick Muir’s ‘Versus’ album (released courtesy of Bedrock) along with the aforementioned ‘The Wonder of You’, reaching #1 positions on Beatport in Tech House and Electronica and now regarded as Jamie's career best piece of music. Standout remixes for King Unique and Robert Babicz were showcased in the the first half of 2015 and now microCastle is pleased to present Jamie's long awaited EP entitled 'The Healing' alongside a remix from label artist Guy J.
The release begins with 'My Tears Don't Help Me' which finds Jamie crafting a deep and emotive number in his own inimitable style. Anchored by subterranean beats and a low slung groove it's an immediately compelling piece of music, compounded by vocal motifs and orchestral designs. It's a deeply moving vibe and one which comes from a real life place. In Jamie's own words "After a succession of very trying months this past year, the vocal sample I came across when making this track spoke to me sincerely. It was the perfect fit for the music I had created from the same headspace."
The lone interpretation of 'My Tears Don't Help Me' is provided by Guy J who is making his fourth appearance on microCastle. The Israeli born Malta based producer is fresh off several triumphs in 2014. Guy's 'Once In A Blue Moon' EP, released courtesy of Bedrock Records was one of the year's most critically acclaimed releases. Reaching #1 in the Beatport Top 100, its sophisticated melodies touched the hearts and minds of music lovers around the globe; it proved once again that there is simply no one better at crafting soulful sounds. Guy also readily accepted the challenge of updating one of electronic music's seminal ambient compositions, Barry Jamieson's 'Stars', released courtesy of microCastle. A daunting task and one which he pulled off with resounding success. As the collective electronic music underground anxiously awaits Guy's newest studio creation microCastle is pleased to present just his second production of 2015. For his 'My Tears Don't Help Me' interpretation Guy has put his own magical touch on the production and reinvented it for a peak time dance floor. It's tough, driving beats and big, commanding drums bring an energetic presence while a storyboard of indistinct motifs tastefully lift the emotion higher. Charming use of the vocal elements combined with a poignant breakdown of keys leads the piece to an elating finale; one which is sure to unite your dance floor for a special 3AM moment.
The EP's second original 'Scintilla' is a classic Jamie Stevens dance floor construction. Working around a tight, funky programming it's infectious hypno-groove and quirky hooks make for a fluid circular motion, while tasteful vocal elements and feathered hats prove to be the icing on the cake. Most tracks have a story behind them and this one is no different as Jamie describes "This track is the end result of many, many failed attempts at creating something that it wasn't. I was trying too hard so I pulled everything back and suddenly it made sense. The rest came naturally. A reminder that I should always listen and let the music lead me and interfere less."
The EP's third and final selection 'Healing Crimson' finds Jamie at his musical best, crafting a melodic electronica piece led by an eloquent theme. As Jamie puts it "I find that when I am jolted by something emotionally distressing, I go to the studio. After hearing some news concerning the health of my father a few years ago, I wrote this piece immediately as a kind of positive projection for his recovery. He is now 100% better which is wonderful and why I feel ready for this piece to be released." A fitting end to another brilliant musical fairytale from Jamie Stevens.

The third unreleased production 'Say No More' comes as the collection reaches its apex. Following peak time stormers like 'Tepoztlan', 'Say No More' is a classic Cid Inc. style production with its rolling grooves, acidic rhythms and tripped out vocal loops which carry you further into the vortex.

Adana Twins have been championing Hamburg's party spirit across the globe since their formation back in 2006. The duo are made up of Friso and Take It Enasy, who despite the collective name aren't related at all, but their relationship with music is what keeps them united. It was their huge releases on Exploited 'Everyday' and 'Strange' that catapulted them into the spotlight in 2012. Since then they have loyally continued to churn out tunes on the imprint, gathering support from all across the board - with residencies at Exploited Labelnights at Watergate in Berlin and Villa Nova in Hamburg. The pair’s latest offering is called ‚Heroe‘. Remixes to be announced from SevenDoors (Diynamic/Exploited), Krankbrother (Krankbrother Records) and Dino Lenny (Ellum). And so it came to pass, the third instalment of our occasional Reloads series. (10 bonus points to all of you who realised the anagram) This ongoing project is where we ask friends of the label to cast their magic over our back catalogue. And what a bumper package Volume 3 has turned out to be.
Nicolas Massayeff gets to grips with Jaap Ligthart & Alice Rose, Davi tackles Marc Marzenit, Darin Epsilon & CID Inc take on Robert Babicz, Conecte breathe new life into Dimitri Nakov & B-Vision and finally Chris Fortier gets busy on himself. So to speak ;-)
All in all, it’s a cast to be reckoned with. Highly recommended and most definitely worth of your undivided attention, lend us your ears. You won’t regret it.

(via SB076 | Jos & Eli 'Insomnia' (Original Mix))
Jos & Eli hail from the musical hotbed of Isreal and have appeared on Diynamic, Asymmetric and Parquet, and have remixed for Steyoyoke and Deer Dear to name just a few. 'Insomnia' is superbly crafted slab of dance floor magic. Melodic and deep, yet with enough energy and drive to send a dance floor crazy. Sophisticated layers merge beautifully as the track undulates from tension creating builds to feel good smile inducing moments of joy. 'Listen to Yourself' is a serious slab of melancholic wonder. Gently simmering, this refined soundscape draws on subtleties and is gently caressed by its hating vocal. Closing things of nicely, we have the excellent 'Lost Inside'. The tracks begins by lulling you in to heavy-hearted character, before its crescendo and alter ego of warmth and smile inducing goods unveils itself, taking us to an unexpected delight.

(via SB077 | Victor Ruiz & D-Nox 'Arise' (Original Mix))
Victor Ruiz has been riding high on the crest of a wave with remixing Luzon - Baguio Track to great acclaim, to appearing on Herblut, Electric Ballroom and Sprout.
D-Nox again is causing a major fuss with his productions (both solo and working with studio partner Beckers) on Suara, Tronic and his own Sprout imprint to name just a few, and the D-Nox & Beckers remix of Quivver riding high in the Beatport techno charts as we speak.
Lets start with ‘Arise'. The beautiful blend of tinkling light arps and big phat bass sounds combine beautifully. Some tracks just come along and cause major devastation, and this is one of those!Press play, listen, and smile!
'Music' (feat. Beckers & Alex Stein) is a solid gem, where the emotive vibes flow lusciously, while the bass wraps you up like a comforting blanket of sound. This is a melodic gem and a half!
Rounding things off nicely, we find 'In Between'. This skippy beat laden moodier affair still oozes melodies and fuses the darker side with the light. Hot stuff!
