Thinking about Pamela Colman Smith and how she originated all the imagery for the "suits"/minor arcana cards of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot while the dude giving direction was obsessed with the major arcana and those had long-term established visual symbols attached already. The suits imagery is some of the most powerful and human though - the three of swords or the ten of swords or the cups suite etc - just beautiful work. And influential in how other people design their decks and understand the symbolism even though Smith invented the imagery in the early 20th century.

Thinking also about touches like the androgyny of the Magician and Smith's bisexuality and her infuence even in the major arcana. The Rider-Waite-Smith tarot is an enduring, widely embraced, globally well known artistic achievement by a woman and, at the same time, it's dismissed or her originality and brilliance in creating striking and evocative images is ignored.
