Planet fitness review:
Sooo for anyone considering Planet Fitness and currently has judgements about it but has never tried it - went there for the first time yesterday and - totally recommend!!
I think I used to judge it because I hung out with crazy body builders who would say it was a lame gym, or wouldn’t go because their free weights don’t go past 100 pounds, which, I will never need so unless you need those I def recommend at least trying it.
Their gym is clean - has fresh flowers in the bathrooms, has ceiling waterfall showers, beautiful locker rooms, and nice lighting (purple, but w/e 🤷♀️). Everyone was nice to each other (but still - no one bothered me during my workout which was great). It’s also cheap as hell! 10/10 would recommend at least trying it out if you are looking - not judging it like i did(:

Progress pics. I thought I had literally made zero progress in the last 8 months months because I have lost like zero weight - but I have been working out quite a bit more and can definitely see the difference (although a little bit may have to do with the outfit). This surprises me so much!! How awesome!!

Today I hit four days of working out this week! I automatically was ashamed when I wrote that because I felt like I should have hit five, for some reason my brain is just hooked on five. Post workout. Using tumblr to hold me accountable. Feeling really strong this week! I’m starting my third week in a row of working out 4-5 times per week with my intermittent fasting, and can already feel a huge difference in my energy and strength. Yayyy!!!

Finally got this booty back in the gym! Now that I teach a hot fitness yoga a few days a week, I sometimes find that it’s easy to forget to work out myself. But when I teach I often don’t do the entire workout with my students, and so I’m not getting the full benefit. Yesterday I worked out in the morning for an hour and a half, went to a relaxing yoga class in the evening, and got back on my intermittent fasting routine. Feeling good tumblr!!

Staying healthy starts with diet! 80% of your progress comes from the kitchen (or so I’ve heard). This is one of my favorite meal prep recipes: Mediterranean style chicken with homemade tzaziki sauce, cucumber salad, and cherry tomatoes over brown rice. SO YUMMY. So filling. So healthy!

Remember when that was you? And we all know that fitness is a journey, let’s help each other be our best selves this year. Even if they are on your machine for too long because they are taking selfies or just being all around obnoxious - know that the journey is not just physical but also mental. They may not have the motivation yet to come to the gym for the hard workout and leave. They haven’t honed their mind in on the prize yet so help them, be kind to them, and give them a reason to return. We all lose focus at some time, be a support to the change they are making in their lives, not the reason they don’t want to come back.
