Hear me out on Fleeway x Silver
Otherwise known as FLEEVER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
!! My fuckass hg did the lineart and I colored these
Here's the links to where she uploaded them follow her please and appreciate her artistic skills or I'm launching the nukes
A little reasoning below the break
A brief rundown as to why I like them a lot (apart from association due to my hg) is that I just really enjoy the dynamic.
Fleetway is a chaotic being that destroys things without care, and Silver is a time traveler that spends his time specially trying to prevent disaster.
Also in this case, Sonic likely isn't around (depending on what arc you place them in) to deal with this himself like he usually is, so they need another capable overpowered hedgehog to fill in that gap. It's an opposites attract type of thing.
Anyway, I might go more into depth soon, but I wanted to get the idea out there first 😛 The Fleever nation will rise
I'm also working on a fic on Ao3 for them!!! The first chapter should be around 10k words, and it'll probably be done soon! I'm open to any asks about them or fleetway/sonic in general as well, peace!

Man vs (Super) Self - A theory
So, I was thinking about Sonic 4 and I saw it's amazing how even with the little we've seen, we can already see signs of how the movie is taking from Fleetway's comics.
The multiple Metal Sonics resembling the Metalix Brotherhood, an Amy with a cloak that reminds us of a version of her in an early draft. With that, I theorize that the writers may borrow another very popular Fleetway concept: Super Sonic.
Tumblr media
Especially because this Super Sonic is extremely chaotic and destructive and that could lead to interesting situations. How he could show in the SCU?
Glad you asked.
We already know that the Chaos Emeralds react to emotions. Love in Sonic 2 and hate and empathy in Sonic 3. But after the battle, not only do the Emeralds seem to be missing but that they're divided between Sonic and Shadow. Or with their energy in them, at least.
And if that's what happened, Sonic may now always be charged with this extra and extremely powerful Chaos energy linked to his emotions.
And that's where the fuel of Fleetway Super comes from.
Sonic certainly carries a lot of guilt. From threatening his brothers, from almost killing Shadow, from almost losing control and doom the Earth. In addition to the traumas that already exist.
And since this energy reacts to emotions, the Super Sonic version could be much more unstable and aggressive. More specifically, it could manifest as an entity separate from Sonic when he feels a lot of guilt as a personification of his self-loathing, a distorted image that mocks what he did, whether as a divided conscience in the Super form or just a hallucination induced by negative feelings.
It would be interesting and complementary to the "man vs. Self" narrative that is already present in Metal Sonic. And it would emphasize that Sonic will have to face himself, because I think that in this film, the Super form will not be the way out.
It will be another traumatic problem to deal with.
(if you wanna see how could works, the animatics made by @smallpwbbles they're amazing)

I love your memes so much (I think my favorites so far are the socially acceptable behavior and the death jokes)! With the Scourge finally meeting Super post, it’s almost like you read my mind because I was going to ask what you thought their first meeting would be like lol. If you’re willing to take a request, do you think you could write about Scourge trying to teach Super about pop media or something while Sonic walks in like “wtf is going on here.” Have a great day!
Thank you! I'm glad you like my memes! Ngl the death jokes one is one of my favourites haha. Man I need to talk more about Scourge and Super honestly fhssfhsfh I didn't plan that post about their meeting I just thought "who's the prep" and next thing I knew I was halfway through typing. Many ideas are ones that come to me in the middle of the night that I post before I think about them too much lol
I went with a movie marathon bc I figured trying to kill Sonic's friends, destroy the world, and then having amnesia and trying to not become evil again didn't give Super much time to think about watching movies and also bc I don't know anything about pop culture bc I live under a rock lol. Hope you have a great day too!
~~~
"So," Scourge said, flicking off the movie and returning to the home screen, "I guess horror isn't your thing, either?"
Super smiled weakly at him, cushion still clutched close to his chest. "Sorry. Just... bad memories."
"Yeah, yeah," Scourge said, waving away the words, determined to not think about them too hard.
He'd been kicked out of the house for the day because Sonic apparently had some important shit to do that he absolutely could not risk Scourge messing up. What, exactly, that important shit was, Scourge had no idea. Sonic always had important shit going on, and it could range from a new mission to preparing a surprise (or prank) for one of his friends. It was rarely something Scourge needed to be kicked out for, though, so when Sonic shooed him out of the house a few hours ago, Scourge had listened with only minimal bitching. He'd probably find out what Sonic was doing later, anyway.
He would have spent his time bothering one of the Freedom Fighters, or some of his friends outside the Freedom Fighters (and wasn't that a novel concept, Scourge actually had friends now) but most of them were busy and the rest lived out of the way. Scourge had been in the middle of debating if the trip to the Floating Island was worth bothering Knuckles and Porker when he'd gotten a text from Ebony asking if he would mind keeping Super company for the day. Apparently she and Pyjamas also had some shit to do, and for some reason Super couldn't come, but he hated being alone and thus required a babysitter. Not that Ebony had phrased it like that, but that was the way Scourge saw it.
Honestly, he'd been tempted to say no. He wasn't friends with Super, and bothering Knuckles sounded way more entertaining. But Ebony had promised to pay him (further solidifying Scourge's opinion that this was a babysitting job) and who was he to turn down cash?
Thus, movie marathon with Super in the back room of the Groovy Train, because apparently he lived under a rock and didn't know anything about movies. Poor fucker.
He'd tried a mystery first, but he'd quickly gotten bored, and Super had only been mildly more invested in it than him, so he hadn't felt guilty about turning it off. Western was next, but Super had been into that even less, so Scourge had taken the opportunity to try his personal favourite genre: horror.
It was an enormous flop. Psychological stuff freaked Super out, and not the way it was supposed to, and the second they'd switched to a movie with gore, he'd gone almost as green as Scourge at the first sight of blood.
It was pathetic, really. Hard to believe this was the same guy who'd constantly only lost to Sonic by the skin of his teeth and nearly committed murder multiple times.
Really, this wasn't on the list of things Scourge wanted to do with his time. He didn't have anywhere near the kind of issues with Super as Sonic did. He mainly just found him annoying. Terrified of his own power, pretty non-confrontational, quiet and polite and nice. A pacifist through and through. Potentially-universe-destroying powers aside, the most entertaining thing about Super was how riled up Sonic got about him. All in all, not someone Scourge would have ever imagined willingly spending time with.
Prime Sonic would probably like him.
Maybe that's why he grated on Scourge's nerves sometimes.
"Thriller, then," Scourge said, shifting away from the horror genre and flicking through the collection of thrillers. "Thrillers are okay if you pick the right ones. You ever seen a thriller?"
Super squirmed a little. The green tint to his face was finally fading. "Sort of. I know I... I mean, I know Sonic likes thrillers, so I have some memories, I guess. So thrillers might work."
Despite his words, Super didn't look enthusiastic at all, frowning down at the carpet with a frustrated pinch to his brows.
Ah. Scourge bit back a curse. And there was the reason Super didn't irritate him as much as he should have. Why he spent more time feeling sorry for him than he spent annoyed at him.
Desperately trying to be your own person, away from Sonic, was so, so fucking difficult when part of your identity would always be permanently tied to the bastard. Like a weight dragging you down, the way it tied you to a set role and refused to let you grow beyond that role, the name branded on the back of your head no matter how much you tried to get rid of it, a voice whispering in your ear that you're still Sonic, will always be Sonic, and you can change your name and your fur color and your actions but that won't change the fact the multiverse has labelled you as yet another Sonic, and all the speed in the world won't let you escape from it completely...
Hard to be constantly mad at someone who understood just how stifling the Sonic name could be, even if they'd gone in completely opposite directions when dealing with it.
"I didn't ask if Sonic had seen one," Scourge said, nudging Super with his arm. "I asked if you've seen one."
Super blinked at him, finally lifting his head from the cushion. Scourge did his best to keep his face and eyes blank; no need to turn this into a big deal.
Sonic - his Sonic, the one from this dimension - had done more for Scourge than he'd ever know by refusing to see him as just another Sonic. A lookalike, yes, but never another Sonic. He wouldn't have accepted that even if Scourge wanted to be a Sonic. The title was already taken, no possibility of sharing. One Sonic the Hedgehog, one Hero of Mobius, and only one. Scourge had no choice but to be someone else if he wanted to stay in this dimension, because Sonic sure as hell wasn't making room for one more.
It was ridiculously fucking refreshing, to have someone unknowingly reject his relation to the Sonic name just as viciously as he'd rejected it in the first place.
Scourge wasn't one for passing on good karma or some stupid shit like that. Being nice to random strangers just because someone else was nice to him didn't come naturally to him. Returning a favor to someone who'd extended one in the first place, sure, that made sense. A debt repaid. Easy to understand. But passing it on to someone else? Scourge still couldn't wrap his head around it, despite the Freedom Fighters best efforts to change that. Maybe that would change in time, or maybe Scourge was stuck like this, selfishness ingrained into his very nature, his home dimension latching onto his core and leaving him destined to be an asshole for the rest of his life, only giving him room to become slightly less of an asshole like he'd managed so far.
But.
But not even he could deny Super a hand extended in understanding. The offer of I see you, not Sonic, I see your rejection and I reject it with you.
How could he, when he himself had spent so long denying how desperately he needed it?
It wasn't a favor for a favor, or a debt repaid. But it was a mutual understanding that was almost impossible to find with anyone else. Which was apparently enough for Scourge to... not like him, but tolerate him, if nothing else.
Which was a huge fucking compliment back in his dimension, so anyone who said he was being unfair could shut the fuck up.
"No," Super said at last. He smiled at Scourge again, and this one was a little stronger. "No, I don't think I have."
"Cool." Scourge considered the screen, then flicked away from the thriller genre. Carefully avoided Super's eyes so he wouldn't have to see any... ugh, gratitude. "And you can start later. I watched a thriller last night, I'm not in the mood for one right now. Pick something else. Anything else." He reconsidered. "Actually, anything except a romcom. I'm not watching a shitty romcom with you."
(And thank fuck Super wasn't close to him or any of his friends, because if he was he could've pointed out that Scourge watched romcoms with Sonic, and completely ignore him when he said that was only because they enjoyed shitting on them together.)
Super examined the menu with a thoughtful look on his face. After a few seconds, he perked up.
"What about action?"
Action. He could do that.
Scourge obediently started to flick through the selection of action movies, eyes darting between the descriptions and Super's face in his search for something they might both enjoy. Eventually, he picked one at random and settled down, arm curled around a bowl of popcorn.
His phone buzzed just as the movie was starting, and with a weary sigh he pulled it out of his jacket, angling the screen away from Super when he saw it was Sonic texting him.
Sonic: Where are you btw
Scourge: groovy train
Scourge: stop pullin that face im getting paid for this
Sonic: I'm not pulling a face
Scourge: ye u are i kno u
"Thank you, by the way."
Scourge lifted his eyes from his phone. Super wasn't looking at him, eyes glued to the screen; apparently he was just as shit with eye contact when dealing with emotions as the rest of them.
"For what?"
"For giving up your time to stay with me for the day. I know I'm... not the Sonic you'd rather spend time with."
Scourge should probably say something comforting in response to that, shouldn't he? But, well. He wasn't wrong.
"'S whatever," Scourge said, leaning back against the couch. "I've been kicked out of the house for the day anyway. Might as well earn some cash while I'm at it."
Super nodded, still refusing to look at Scourge as he lifted a handful of popcorn to his mouth.
"Say," Scourge started, eyes only half focused on the movie. The subtitles were on, so he didn't need to fully pay attention anyway. "Why didn't your moms bring you with them, anyway? Since you hate being alone so much."
"They're not my mums!" Super protested, face flushing a deep red.
"Yeah they are. The only thing stopping them filling out adoption papers is the fact you're legally still a wanted criminal." He nudged Super with his foot. "C'mon, don't dodge the question. I know you'd rather be with them than with me."
Super sighed, eyes drifting away from the movie for a brief moment. "They're... going somewhere with a lot of chaos energy. For Pyjamas. So I can't go. Ebony offered to stay behind with me, but she already does so much for me, I didn't want to make her miss out. I said I'd be fine on my own, but..."
But Super has anxiety, Ebony's text that morning had read, and I'd feel better if there was someone there to keep him company, just in case he has a flashback or panic attack.
Damn. Imagine having parents that cared about that kind of shit. Lucky bastard.
"Lucky you got me, then," Scourge said. "All the other Freedom Fighters are boring as shit. And have shit taste in movies. If we're going to catch you up movies, you can't be exposed to shit ones, or you'll end up with shit taste-"
"Then you should've been the last person called," a dry, snarky voice interrupted.
Scourge whirled around to find Sonic leaning against the doorway, arms folded, signature smirk in place. His eyes were firmly fixed on Scourge, but anyone who knew him could see the tension in his arms and shoulders.
Beside him, Super had gone very, very still.
Sonic and Super kept... a respectful distance from one another. Very respectful, and very, very far away. Sonic wasn't at Super's throat anymore, nor was he planning to drag him by the ear and throw him into a jail cell, and Super didn't have a problem with Sonic when he wasn't hopped up on chaos energy, but the friction between them never really went away. They weren't banned from seeing one another, but not doing so was usually a deliberate choice on both of their parts.
Scourge was going to choose to interpret this as Sonic missing him so much he was willing to exist in Super's presence, mainly because he could not be bothered to try and figure out the actual reason he was here. Sonic would tell him later if it was important.
"Oh, like your taste is any better?" Scourge said, puffing up his chest in faux indignation. He was not going to let any potential awkwardness ruin this for him. He wasn't getting paid enough to deal with that.
"Better than yours," Sonic shot back instantly. He looked like he wanted to approach, but he didn't actually budge from the doorway. "You know, when I told you to find something to do to keep you out of the house, I didn't mean corrupt Super with your shit taste in films. The fuck are you even watching? Some shitty action film put together with cardboard and a piece of string?"
"Excuse you, this is high quality cinema," Scourge gasped, pressing a hand to his chest in offense. "I wouldn't force Super to watch garbage, how dare you, just because we're not watching one of your shitty thrillers-"
Sonic darted over in an instant, snatching the bowl of popcorn and tipping it up on Scourge's head. Apparently being in close proximity to the guy who tried to murder his friends was a price Sonic was willing to pay if it meant he got to bully Scourge.
"We're breaking up," Scourge announced, flicking some popcorn at Sonic in retaliation. "You don't love me and you're only here for my leather jacket."
"Pretty much," Sonic agreed, flicking the popcorn back at him. Scourge caught it in his mouth.
Beside him, Super was chuckling quietly, nervously, like he was afraid of being heard but too amused at their bickering to hold it in. He kept his own bowl, previously balanced on the arm of the couch, clutched close to his chest like he'd done with the cushion earlier, but he wasn't eyeing Sonic warily, nor did he look like he was about to bolt. Scourge pointedly didn't draw attention to it.
"You owe me more popcorn," Scourge said, digging around the couch for stray pieces of popcorn to eat. No way was he wasting perfectly good popcorn. "And we're watching a horror movie next week."
"We were already going to watch a horror movie next week. It's your turn to pick, and you always pick a horror movie."
"Oh, like you don't always pick thrillers?"
"Shut the fuck up. Where's the popcorn?"
"Left the bag on the counter in the kitchen," Scourge said, grinning. He waved Sonic away. "Come on, waiter, I'll give you a popcorn tip if you're fast."
Sonic stuck two fingers up at him as he headed for the kitchen, popcorn bowl in tow. He playfully gave Scourge's ear a little pull as he passed, but was careful to make sure it didn't hurt. He didn't look at Super. Huge upgrade from when this started, when he couldn't go two seconds without glaring at the guy.
Scourge settled back down on the couch as he listened to Sonic swear and struggle to work the microwave, a cry of "Then why the fuck is there a popcorn setting?" ringing through the open door as he read the instructions on the bag. Super was more relaxed than he had been when Sonic first walked in, and there was a faint smile tugging at his mouth.
Playing babysitter and having a movie marathon with Super might not be so bad if Sonic was there.
... Providing Super didn't mind their habit of talking during movies, of course.
Let me get up damn
Tumblr media
Now that I talked about Fleetway King Sonic and Fleetway King Super how about Fleetway Sonic (and the good Fleetway Super) meet STCO Iblis? (He is super Sonic but were he wins) Also how does Scourge react to see the world in ruins?
Sonic probably responds with his usual "I think the fuck not" attitude tbh. It'd piss him off and deep down he'd be disturbed to see what so easily could've happened in his world, but he'd do his best to hide it and try to fix things - he's not the type to just sit back and let it happen, after all. As for Scourge, I think it would hit him hard to realise just how badly things would go if Super did win and get the destruction he wanted. In a scenario where he only knows Super as a pacifist, it would be an extra shock, because despite Sonic telling him (repeatedly) how dangerous Super is, Scourge would still always look down on him and see him as weak for being a pacifist. Seeing absolute ruin caused by the person he judges despite reluctantly finding kinship in him? It'd be a shock to the system for sure
I think the whole thing would hit Super the hardest, though. To be confronted with everything he's afraid of becoming, the part of himself he's scared of. To deal with the whispering doubt of "what if Sonic is right about him, what if he is a monster after all?"
He wouldn't take it well, to say the least
Man can you imagine how much Super would throw Scourge once he realises wtf is going on with him though
Like he's been thrown into this random dimension where everyone talks weird and their hero is an asshole. Sonic himself is rude and doesn't trust him from the start, and even when they do start to become closer he's always weirdly tetchy about the chaos emeralds. He won't tell Scourge anything about them and immediately shoots down any suggestion of using them in a crisis. He prides himself on keeping his cool and runs off if he thinks he's going to lose it (providing he's not in the middle of a fight or trying to protect someone)
It's infuriating for Scourge bc Sonic has all this power at his fingertips and he won't use it. If he wants Robotnik gone so bad why doesn't he just go super and kick his ass into next week? Scourge knows how powerful super forms are, and he's seen Prime Sonic use it against Eggman before, so why won't this Sonic, who is significantly less concerned about hurting Robotnik than Prime Sonic would be? It's an easy solution to his problems, so why won't he even consider it?
And then something happens. Maybe a fight pushes Sonic just a little too far, makes him a little too angry. Maybe he almost dies. Maybe they stumble across an emerald or two, or some machine with a high concentration of chaos energy, and there's an accident.
Either way, it doesn't take long for Scourge to realise something is very, very wrong with Sonic's super form. He's used to that form being some kind of symbol of hope for Sonic's friends, and he expected it would be no different here. A cocky, arrogant hero with a powered up form like that? He expected it must be a good turning point. Expected sighs of relief and a swollen ego and a guaranteed victory
He doesn't expect the terrified look on Sonic's face right before he transforms. He doesn't expect the freedom fighters to panic and cry out to Sonic even as they run, trying to drag civilians to safety. He doesn't expect the violence, the laughter, the poisonous words that gleefully threaten to rip apart everything Sonic wants to protect
He definitely doesn't expect the way Super turns and attacks him
Well here is another ask! (I Hope you don't get Mad)
Can I request more(Good) Fleetway Super, scourge and Fleetway Sonic just chilling together? But instead of movies they are playing games
I am always happy to answer asks about these two fkdhsad I'll never get mad for having more excuses to talk or write about them!!!
~~~
Sonic wished he could say he didn't know how he'd been dragged into this, but unfortunately, he was all too aware of exactly who was to blame for this.
It was all Ebony's fault. She was the one who kept insisting Sonic, ugh, just got to know Super. Because he wasn't that bad when he wasn't evil and trying to murder Sonic and his friends in cold blood, could Sonic not find it in his heart to get to know him a little better and stop hating him?
He should have kept refusing. He never should have given in. But for some unknown reason, Scourge of all people decided to back her up like the traitor he was. The resulting discussion had been long and torturous, and Tekno had unhelpfully chimed in with multiple comments of her own, because apparently she had never seen Super in a murderous enough rampage to be put off by him. And then Amy reluctantly backed up Tekno, because of course she did, and then-
Well. And then Sonic somehow found himself breathing the same air as Super without either of them fighting.
The process had been, so far, just as long and torturous as his initial discussion (fight) over the issue with Scourge, and to Sonic's eternal annoyance, it wasn't... well, it wasn't not working. So much so he had somehow found himself here, in the back room of the Groovy Train, Scourge firmly sandwiched between him and Super as they sat in front of a TV with controllers in their hands.
It... wasn't the worst situation Sonic had ever been in. He didn't like it, but if he had to be in a room with Super, it was better to not have the fucker trying to kill him, and so far, he hadn't. He'd needed surprisingly little instruction on how to work the game - good, because Sonic didn't have the patience to waste time explaining it to him - and had commented, with far too much snark, "We were the same person once, you know, you spent too much time on this game for me to not know how to play it."
Cheeky bastard.
They'd argued for a while about what game to play - or rather, Sonic and Scourge argued, mainly because Scourge wanted to play that stupid Marxio Brothers game solely to piss Sonic off - before they finally settled on Avenue Warrior 2, a fighting game that was definitely not one of Sonic's favourites. They just happened to have a copy of it back at the base, and it was a good way to unwind after a difficult mission.
Normally, the only person Sonic could convince to play it with him was Tails; the game supported up to four players, but no one else had ever really cared enough to play it with him more than a few times, sulking over getting their asses kicked. Pixel Brain was the only one who stuck at it, with that determined little frown that screamed he was determined to beat Sonic one day. As if, but it was nice for the kid to have a goal. Lately, he'd started to be able to rope Scourge into playing it, which was more of a challenge; Scourge wasn't as familiar with the game as Sonic, didn't know all the little tricks and secrets, but he was a fast learner, and kept Sonic on his toes. But Tails refused to play when Scourge did, saying they got too competitive when they were together, so Sonic was used to only ever playing with one other person. He'd never seen three player mode before.
"Son of a bitch!"
Apparently three player mode involved a lot of the two of them getting too caught up in their rivalry, only for Super to remind them he was there by coming in and delivering some particularly devastating moves, because of course the bastard had leeched off some of Sonic's hard earned skills after the split.
He'd be more mad about it, but every time Scourge's avatar fell was a balm to soothe the irritation.
"You fucking cheater!" Scourge accused, waving his controller.
"Not my fault you're bad at the game," Super replied, quick as a flash. He was usually so meek, but apparently the distraction of video games brought some kind of confidence out of him he didn't normally possess, at least when he was speaking to Scourge. He still shrank back whenever Sonic spoke to him, but honestly, that was perfectly fine by Sonic. He wasn't exactly leaping to become Super's friend.
The only reason he was here at all was because Scourge had talked him into it.
"Bad at the - how am I bad at the game when you're the one who-"
"Just accept you're shit," Sonic said, mashing the buttons on his controller to dodge what would have been a spectacularly vicious combo from Super. They were infuriatingly evenly matched. "I saw that coming a mile away. If you couldn't dodge it, that's your fault."
Scourge hissed, which was the only warning Sonic and Super got before he darted forward and promptly unplugged both their controllers.
"Hey!"
"Oh fuck off, you little moss covered hairball-"
Sonic scrambled to plug his controller back in before Super could; they were both good enough at the game that being the first to get their controller working again was the difference between win or lose. Apparently, Super realised the same thing, because he was almost as fast as Sonic. Their shoulders bumped as they frantically tried to plug in their controllers, and both of them tensed at the contact.
Sonic recovered a split second before Super did, plugging his controller back in with a triumphant yell and flinging himself back to the sofa. Super wasn't far behind, snatching up his controller just in time to barely dodge a punch from Sonic's avatar. Lucky fucker.
"Do that again and I'll dangle you out the window with the wire of your controller," Sonic threatened, leaning to the side while dodging a kick like that would help him. Both of their avatars were dangerously low on health; it would be a close call, and Sonic was determined to win.
"I can always turn the console off-"
Scourge twitched like he was going to get up, and in unison Sonic and Super grabbed his arms and flung him back down. For good measure, Sonic wrapped his legs around Scourge's torso, pinning him there.
"If you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was ask," Scourge said, tilting his head back to grin at Sonic.
"I want you to not be a sore loser."
"I'm not a-!"
"You kinda are," Super said quietly, his earlier confidence shaken from the brief physical contact the two of them shared.
Sonic took advantage of his moment of distraction to deliver a final blow to Super's character, basking in smug, triumphant victory as the game declared him the winner.
He was used to being victorious in this game, but he had to admit, it was a lot more rewarding when he had to actually work for it.
Not that he would admit it out loud. If he ever recounted this story to anyone, he'd tell them it was a landslide victory; no need to let everyone know Super of all people gave him so much trouble.
"Another round?" he asked, smiling smugly at Scourge. "Think you can take another loss without trying to sabotage me, this time?"
"I've won three of these," Scourge complained. "Super's won four. Stop acting like you're hot shit just because you have the most experience with this stupid game."
"I'm not acting like I'm hot shit, I am hot shit."
"Shut up." Scourge untangled himself from Sonic, pulling himself to his feet. "Oi, Super, got any other games? We've been playing this one for two hours now."
"In the cabinet," Super said, startled at being addressed. "In, uh... in the next room."
"Tired of losing?" Sonic taunted.
"Go fuck yourself," Scourge said, sticking his middle finger up at Sonic as he left to root through the cabinet. Sonic stuck two fingers up in retaliation, even knowing he wouldn't be seen.
Then he was left alone with Super. Great. Exactly what he didn't want out of today.
Super eyed him warily, shifting further into his corner of the sofa like Sonic was the dangerous one who could attack at any moment, and Sonic almost snorted. The fucking irony.
Having Scourge sit between them was a conscious choice made for the sake of everyone. Scourge was the only one who didn't have a problem with either of them, while Sonic and Super had many, many problems with one another, although really, Sonic was far more justified in the amount of problems he had with Super. The guy had tried to murder his friends, for fucks sake. Had left Sonic with the burning wreckage of the Tornado and the belief he'd killed the people he cared about. In his opinion, Super didn't get to feel wary about Sonic after everything he'd done.
But, for whatever reason, he was. The mutual discomfort left them uneasy around one another, so they silently agreed to just avoid the shit out of each other for the rest of their lives - a decision that, apparently, no one could respect. Scourge was supposed to be the buffer between them, but apparently he couldn't take even one single job seriously. Super could've gotten a new game and left Sonic alone for two minutes with his boyfriend, but no, apparently that was too much to ask.
Still, as much as Super shrinking away annoyed him, Sonic didn't say anything, just turned away to stare out the window, although he kept one ear flicked in Super's direction just in case he tried anything. Tekno kept saying the suspicion was unnecessary, but what did she know? Better safe than sorry when it came to Super.
If Scourge or Ebony or whoever the fuck planned this was hoping getting them alone would get them to talk, they were sorely mistaken. Sonic didn't have anything to say to Super that wasn't antagonistic, and he didn't want to deal with the bitching he'd be subjected to if he provoked Super - damn the asshole and his overprotective mums - so it was better to just silently ignore him until Scourge came back.
Not that provoking him would be a good idea. The last thing he wanted was to set Super off and turn him homicidal again.
No, ignoring him really was the best way forward, and Super, thankfully, seemed to agree, because he didn't try to strike up any conversation of his own.
They just. Had. To wait. Fine. Sonic could do that. He could sit across from the demonic entity made entirely out of corrupted chaos energy, supposedly placid and a pacifist even though Sonic knew chaos energy didn't work that way.
Sonic was reluctantly beginning to believe Super really wasn't playing the long con - he'd never really had the patience for such things, always turning on anyone he teamed up with the second Sonic came into view, so gaining the self control to be alone with Sonic and not kill him in order to build trust and kill him at a later date was unlikely to say the least - but that didn't mean anything about Super's sudden attitude change made sense to him. He knew all too well how chaos energy worked; it was every bit as wild as its namesake, out of control and unable to be contained. Sonic never remembered any of the times he went super, but he could recall the moments before transformation uncomfortably well. The swelling of power, then energy lashing inside him, screeching for mindless destruction so loudly it was impossible to fight against-
Sonic's fists were clenched. With a deep, deliberate breath, he loosened them, forcing the tightness in his chest to unwind and the unpleasant emotions to back down through well-practiced force of will.
Chaos energy could not be placid. It could not be pacified. It was a feral beast, and it could be drained, and in small doses it wasn't harmful, but it couldn't be tamed. Sonic knew, he had tried. Tried so hard to hold it back, time and time again, to suppress it.
It didn't make sense that Super - a being made entirely of that destructive energy - could do what Sonic knew for a fact was impossible. Fighting chaos energy had to be impossible, otherwise Sonic would have figured out how to do it. Otherwise Kintobor would be-
An unpleasant emotion bubbled in his chest, and he shoved it down viciously. No point in dwelling on that.
It was a relief when Scourge came back, waving a game with a triumphant smile. "Zombies! Can't believe you let us play this shit, Super, when we could've been beating the shit out of zombies the whole time."
Super straightened a little, eyes sharpening, and Sonic tensed - but his eyes were only sharpening in interest, staring at the game in Scourge's hand and not Scourge himself. Not threatening, not waiting to attack.
It took conscious effort to relax.
"Just hurry up and put it in," Sonic said, folding his arms and slumping in his seat. See? The perfect picture of relaxed. He and Super existed in one another's presence without supervision and without ripping each other's throats out. He was great at this being civil thing, so Tekno and Amy and Scourge especially Ebony could shut the fuck up forever.
"Impatient," Scourge tutted, deliberately taking his time removing the cartridge from the case like the asshole he was.
Sonic threw a cushion at him, earning a startled giggle from Super.
"Fucks sake, fine," Scourge hissed, popping the cartridge into the console and returning to his rightful place by Sonic's side, firmly in between him and Super once again.
"Don't be a dick and I won't need to throw shit at you," Sonic said. He chanced a glance at Super, who was watching the TV, and slid his hand into Scourge's, giving it a squeeze.
If Scourge was surprised by the sudden affection, he didn't show it. Just squeezed Sonic's hand right back, and didn't let go until Sonic finally relaxed by his side and the title screen came up.
"Do any of us actually know how to play this game?" Scourge asked.
"I do," Super said, picking his controller back up. "I can teach you."
"Sweet."
Sonic's hackles raised at the idea of anyone, much less Super, teaching him anything, but he forced it down. Whatever. He could deal with it.
As they selected their characters and started the game, he leaned on Scourge. Just a little, barely a nudge, but Scourge barely leaned on him right back, and it was enough to settle his overactive nerves at least a little.
Playing video games with Super wasn't something he'd ever pictured himself doing, and it wasn't something he particularly wanted to be doing at that exact moment, either. If he had the choice, he'd rather go for a run far, far away from his maybe-not-evil double.
But as long as he was here, Scourge's presence helped, and Sonic couldn't help but be grateful for that.
The bastard still owed him so many races when they got home for helping to drag him into this, though.

Imagine If Fleetway Super Sonic and Sonic were actually very friendly with each other.
Now imagine Scourge getting jealous or be shocked by it
I think Scourge would be too busy being shocked to be jealous by it lmao. I headcanon he's surprisingly not as jealous a person as people expect him to be, and even if he was, he'd be too busy going "who are you and what have you done with my Sonic" to be jealous. In an extreme case, where the change of heart seemed to be sudden, he'd be worried about mind fuckery going on, maybe concerned Super or someone else has some mind altering power or device that's fucked with Sonic's head to make him be friendly with Super
Fortunately for Scourge, it's doubtful that will happen (unless someone really did pull some mind fuckery on Sonic, which would be a pretty cool storyline ngl) because I don't think Sonic will ever be friendly with Super - or at least it would take a very long time and a lot of work (and maybe some forced proximity). I think Sonic is still hung up on that one time he thought he - as Super - murdered his friends, and doesn't really believe Super can ever be truly good also his whole issue with Kintobor/Robotnik. He probably thinks there's no justice in Super getting a happy ending and being good despite being made out of chaos energy when Kintobor couldn't. Maybe that would calm down after Kintobor's return but who knows. He's not against second chances, but I don't think he'd be particularly willing to give one to Super, partly because he sees Super as more a manifestation of chaos energy and the evil within it than a person. As for Super, I think he's (understandably) nervous about being around Sonic. His ire would be hurtful, considering Super is trying so hard to be good and Sonic just will not believe it. Sonic's fear of Super undermine's Super's efforts to be a good person, and Super is worried, deep down, that Sonic is right. He was right before, after all
I think the relationship between them could certainly improve, albeit most likely with outside influences - Sonic could certainly stand to learn Super is a person and not just an evil manifestation of chaos energy that wants to destroy everything he loves, and therefore see him as a person who is not only capable of being good, but who wants to be good - but it's very difficult to envision them as ever being friendly with each other. The tension between them can be minimised, but it would be incredibly difficult to eradicate it enough to be friendly. I actually got a comment on one of my previous fics, that described them as "working towards chill civility" which I think sums it up perfectly! They can absolutely learn to co-exist in chill civility, accepting one another's presence in the world, but just... preferring the presence to be at a distance as much as possible. Anything more than that would take a lot more effort than I imagine either of them are willing to give lol

Any idea of what Fleetway Super Sonic do when he is with Scourge? Like if there is something that they do that scourge doesn't do with Sonic and that gets him jealous?
I don't think he does anything he wouldn't already do with Sonic. He only really visits Super if Ebony pays him to, and the most Scourge can think to do is play video games or watch a movie with him, because Super isn't usually down for most of Scourge's fave activities. Mostly because those activities are fighting (Super does not want to risk turning evil again) or illegal (Super has no desire to draw more attention to himself than necessary). So they're not really doing anything unique, since Super isn't interested in most of Scourge's favourite activities, and Scourge isn't really interested in learning about what Super likes to do because he doesn't care about Super enough for that. Super would probably be willing to do some pranks on some people, but Scourge's idea of a prank is. Uh. Not the same as Super's, to say the least. Scourge's pranks would have to be tame by his standards before Super would agree to go along with them
Sonic doesn't really get jealous of Super, per se. It's actually kinda funny that he doesn't, considering he's normally prone to jealousy, but he knows Scourge likes troublemakers, so Super isn't his type. Mostly he just sulks to hide the fact it lowkey freaks him out whenever Scourge spends time with Super. He knows Scourge can handle himself, but... it's Super. Sonic refuses to try and trust Super, and he's terrified of losing Scourge. So it's more a recipe for anxiety than jealousy, not that he'll ever admit it

Speaking of birthday... How did Fleetway Super Sonic's birthday go? You only write Sonic and scourge birthdays
It's 'cause I'm more used to writing their characters and because this blog is more focused on them due to being ship centric lmao. Also because I headcanon neither Sonic nor Scourge are crazy about the idea of being around Super for his birthday, so it's difficult to write him even in the periphery of their povs
Super's birthday was probably very nice!!! I imagine Ebony would want to spoil him a little, as he's never had his own birthday before. Any cheesy birthday decorations the freedom fighters end up in possession of get dumped on the doorstep of the Groovy Train, so those get hung up instantly. They make the cake from scratch, and they invite all of Super's friends around for the party, and regulars at the cafe wish him a happy birthday if they're there on the day, or wish him happy birthday in advance if they aren't going to be there! Super might groan and fuss and get embarrassed under all the attention - he came from Sonic, and he's still a teenager, so he's still got pride - but he does really appreciate it. I like to think they take a family photo, which promptly gets hung on the wall a few days later and makes Super smile every time he sees it

Well here is another ask! (I Hope you don't get Mad)
Can I request more(Good) Fleetway Super, scourge and Fleetway Sonic just chilling together? But instead of movies they are playing games
I am always happy to answer asks about these two fkdhsad I'll never get mad for having more excuses to talk or write about them!!!
~~~
Sonic wished he could say he didn't know how he'd been dragged into this, but unfortunately, he was all too aware of exactly who was to blame for this.
It was all Ebony's fault. She was the one who kept insisting Sonic, ugh, just got to know Super. Because he wasn't that bad when he wasn't evil and trying to murder Sonic and his friends in cold blood, could Sonic not find it in his heart to get to know him a little better and stop hating him?
He should have kept refusing. He never should have given in. But for some unknown reason, Scourge of all people decided to back her up like the traitor he was. The resulting discussion had been long and torturous, and Tekno had unhelpfully chimed in with multiple comments of her own, because apparently she had never seen Super in a murderous enough rampage to be put off by him. And then Amy reluctantly backed up Tekno, because of course she did, and then-
Well. And then Sonic somehow found himself breathing the same air as Super without either of them fighting.
The process had been, so far, just as long and torturous as his initial discussion (fight) over the issue with Scourge, and to Sonic's eternal annoyance, it wasn't... well, it wasn't not working. So much so he had somehow found himself here, in the back room of the Groovy Train, Scourge firmly sandwiched between him and Super as they sat in front of a TV with controllers in their hands.
It... wasn't the worst situation Sonic had ever been in. He didn't like it, but if he had to be in a room with Super, it was better to not have the fucker trying to kill him, and so far, he hadn't. He'd needed surprisingly little instruction on how to work the game - good, because Sonic didn't have the patience to waste time explaining it to him - and had commented, with far too much snark, "We were the same person once, you know, you spent too much time on this game for me to not know how to play it."
Cheeky bastard.
They'd argued for a while about what game to play - or rather, Sonic and Scourge argued, mainly because Scourge wanted to play that stupid Marxio Brothers game solely to piss Sonic off - before they finally settled on Avenue Warrior 2, a fighting game that was definitely not one of Sonic's favourites. They just happened to have a copy of it back at the base, and it was a good way to unwind after a difficult mission.
Normally, the only person Sonic could convince to play it with him was Tails; the game supported up to four players, but no one else had ever really cared enough to play it with him more than a few times, sulking over getting their asses kicked. Pixel Brain was the only one who stuck at it, with that determined little frown that screamed he was determined to beat Sonic one day. As if, but it was nice for the kid to have a goal. Lately, he'd started to be able to rope Scourge into playing it, which was more of a challenge; Scourge wasn't as familiar with the game as Sonic, didn't know all the little tricks and secrets, but he was a fast learner, and kept Sonic on his toes. But Tails refused to play when Scourge did, saying they got too competitive when they were together, so Sonic was used to only ever playing with one other person. He'd never seen three player mode before.
"Son of a bitch!"
Apparently three player mode involved a lot of the two of them getting too caught up in their rivalry, only for Super to remind them he was there by coming in and delivering some particularly devastating moves, because of course the bastard had leeched off some of Sonic's hard earned skills after the split.
He'd be more mad about it, but every time Scourge's avatar fell was a balm to soothe the irritation.
"You fucking cheater!" Scourge accused, waving his controller.
"Not my fault you're bad at the game," Super replied, quick as a flash. He was usually so meek, but apparently the distraction of video games brought some kind of confidence out of him he didn't normally possess, at least when he was speaking to Scourge. He still shrank back whenever Sonic spoke to him, but honestly, that was perfectly fine by Sonic. He wasn't exactly leaping to become Super's friend.
The only reason he was here at all was because Scourge had talked him into it.
"Bad at the - how am I bad at the game when you're the one who-"
"Just accept you're shit," Sonic said, mashing the buttons on his controller to dodge what would have been a spectacularly vicious combo from Super. They were infuriatingly evenly matched. "I saw that coming a mile away. If you couldn't dodge it, that's your fault."
Scourge hissed, which was the only warning Sonic and Super got before he darted forward and promptly unplugged both their controllers.
"Hey!"
"Oh fuck off, you little moss covered hairball-"
Sonic scrambled to plug his controller back in before Super could; they were both good enough at the game that being the first to get their controller working again was the difference between win or lose. Apparently, Super realised the same thing, because he was almost as fast as Sonic. Their shoulders bumped as they frantically tried to plug in their controllers, and both of them tensed at the contact.
Sonic recovered a split second before Super did, plugging his controller back in with a triumphant yell and flinging himself back to the sofa. Super wasn't far behind, snatching up his controller just in time to barely dodge a punch from Sonic's avatar. Lucky fucker.
"Do that again and I'll dangle you out the window with the wire of your controller," Sonic threatened, leaning to the side while dodging a kick like that would help him. Both of their avatars were dangerously low on health; it would be a close call, and Sonic was determined to win.
"I can always turn the console off-"
Scourge twitched like he was going to get up, and in unison Sonic and Super grabbed his arms and flung him back down. For good measure, Sonic wrapped his legs around Scourge's torso, pinning him there.
"If you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was ask," Scourge said, tilting his head back to grin at Sonic.
"I want you to not be a sore loser."
"I'm not a-!"
"You kinda are," Super said quietly, his earlier confidence shaken from the brief physical contact the two of them shared.
Sonic took advantage of his moment of distraction to deliver a final blow to Super's character, basking in smug, triumphant victory as the game declared him the winner.
He was used to being victorious in this game, but he had to admit, it was a lot more rewarding when he had to actually work for it.
Not that he would admit it out loud. If he ever recounted this story to anyone, he'd tell them it was a landslide victory; no need to let everyone know Super of all people gave him so much trouble.
"Another round?" he asked, smiling smugly at Scourge. "Think you can take another loss without trying to sabotage me, this time?"
"I've won three of these," Scourge complained. "Super's won four. Stop acting like you're hot shit just because you have the most experience with this stupid game."
"I'm not acting like I'm hot shit, I am hot shit."
"Shut up." Scourge untangled himself from Sonic, pulling himself to his feet. "Oi, Super, got any other games? We've been playing this one for two hours now."
"In the cabinet," Super said, startled at being addressed. "In, uh... in the next room."
"Tired of losing?" Sonic taunted.
"Go fuck yourself," Scourge said, sticking his middle finger up at Sonic as he left to root through the cabinet. Sonic stuck two fingers up in retaliation, even knowing he wouldn't be seen.
Then he was left alone with Super. Great. Exactly what he didn't want out of today.
Super eyed him warily, shifting further into his corner of the sofa like Sonic was the dangerous one who could attack at any moment, and Sonic almost snorted. The fucking irony.
Having Scourge sit between them was a conscious choice made for the sake of everyone. Scourge was the only one who didn't have a problem with either of them, while Sonic and Super had many, many problems with one another, although really, Sonic was far more justified in the amount of problems he had with Super. The guy had tried to murder his friends, for fucks sake. Had left Sonic with the burning wreckage of the Tornado and the belief he'd killed the people he cared about. In his opinion, Super didn't get to feel wary about Sonic after everything he'd done.
But, for whatever reason, he was. The mutual discomfort left them uneasy around one another, so they silently agreed to just avoid the shit out of each other for the rest of their lives - a decision that, apparently, no one could respect. Scourge was supposed to be the buffer between them, but apparently he couldn't take even one single job seriously. Super could've gotten a new game and left Sonic alone for two minutes with his boyfriend, but no, apparently that was too much to ask.
Still, as much as Super shrinking away annoyed him, Sonic didn't say anything, just turned away to stare out the window, although he kept one ear flicked in Super's direction just in case he tried anything. Tekno kept saying the suspicion was unnecessary, but what did she know? Better safe than sorry when it came to Super.
If Scourge or Ebony or whoever the fuck planned this was hoping getting them alone would get them to talk, they were sorely mistaken. Sonic didn't have anything to say to Super that wasn't antagonistic, and he didn't want to deal with the bitching he'd be subjected to if he provoked Super - damn the asshole and his overprotective mums - so it was better to just silently ignore him until Scourge came back.
