This is genuinely the smoothest my laptop has ever run, I was able to play a stream game earlier for the first time since I got the laptop (which previously would try to overheat the moment I opened up a game) , ran great and could barely feel any heat!!!

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

Do not fucking see this movie. Do not waste your money on this. Period.

They made Nani give Lilo up to the American government. They made Nani LEAVE Hawaii and pursue being a marine biologist. They made a native Hawaiian character give up her sibling to pursue a dream that she originally did not have. This is imperialist propaganda at its FINEST.

The original fucking movie is about family staying together. It's about indigenous people being able to stay with each other and stay in their home and be together! That's the whole fucking point! Nani is Lilo's last living relative on her homeland—it is jarring, it is disgusting and disturbing that Nani would not only leave her last blood relative alone, give her up to the very government that is harming native Hawaiians TODAY, but also travel to the "mainland" for her dream!

Not to mention, Nani's actress isn't fucking Hawaiian. She's much paler in photos and real life. They fucking darkened her for this movie.

Don't even get me started on the transgender subtext of Pleakley's "human" disguise from the original movie being completely erased in favor of him being played by a regular ass white man. Jumba doesn't have his accent, they made him more villainous, and his "human" disguise is a non-fat white man—which part of his original joke, I know, is that he was bigger and was more clumsy in the movie because of his size, but to have the main shape of his character completely removed is also fucking weird.

This live action movie is a desecration to the original. I encourage you to not see it, please. Don't give Disney any of your money on this one. Just watch the original. Please just watch the original.

The first person to be officially diagnosed with autism was Donald Triplett, who was diagnosed in 1943. around 82 years ago.

ADHD was discovered and researched as early as the late 1700‘s, but was not recognized as an existing medical diagnosis until the 1960‘s. 65 years ago.

Th earliest know case of dissasociative identity disorder is thought to be to Mary Reynolds, all the way back in 1811. However, it was frequently misdiagnosed as schizophrenia, and was not largely accepted as a real disorder until at LEAST the 1970‘s, as some records show it was introduced in official practices as late as the 1990‘s, around 35 years ago.

The term “anxiety disorder“ was not created/recognized until the 1980‘s.

Antidepressants were not introduced and approved for treatments until 1959, 66 years ago.

I could write a full scale 20 page essay about all these statistics, but the people who need to read this would decide it’s too long and not read it in the first place. Yes, this “mental disorder crap“ DID exist when you were my age, It just didn’t have a name. Most of the people claiming it does not exist are older than the first official cases of said disorders.

The issue was that before these terms were recognized, people afflicted were hidden away from the public, made slaves, abused and punished and locked away by their families, either in their own homes or shipped to brutal wards such as the Pennhurst Asylum, whose staff were convicted of beating, assaultingand even torturing patients, to the point where it’s estimated at least half of its patients are believed to have died in its walls. The staff were convicted in 1983. just barely 42 years ago.

Society hates people that are different with a burning passion, and removes what it does not want to see from view. We are only as far as we are today because we fought for it, tooth and nail. And yes, it exists, even if you don’t want to see it.
