I’m begging everyone in the TADC fandom to not give Ragatha the Mabel/Leafy/Rose Quartz treatment. I’m already seeing people demonize the hell out of her for her moments of insincerity, her complex relationship with Jax, and her repressed negative emotions when that’s what the 👏 WHOLE 👏 EPISODE 👏 WAS 👏 ABOUT 👏 .

Jax expresses his belief of not pretending everything is okay when it’s not, and he’d be correct. No one should be expected to be happy all the time, let alone undermine situations when they’re severe. However, the episode also makes it clear that there’s a balance between being mean and standing your ground, exemplified with Pomni.

While Pomni and Jax tell Ragatha that it’s okay to be mean and express negative emotions at times, this is never suggested as a “be mean and push people away” mentality like Jax has been doing for a long time. Simply put, they’re just encouraging Ragatha to be more honest with how she feels, much to her dismay with her mother and people-pleasing attitude.

In fact, Zooble also makes a valid point. In the same way that Ragatha brushing off conflict is unhealthy, Jax bullying and hurting people (such as Gangle) isn’t the way to go either and I feel like a lot of people overlook this moment. Yeah, it’s good to be assertive and feel angry, sad, or disappointed. But it’s another thing to hurt others to feel better about your situation. Both Ragatha and Jax’s approaches to life are unhealthy and dangerous to themselves and the others around them, intentional or not.

Pomni even clears things up by suggesting she’s her own person, cementing her place as someone who allows themselves to not be mean while also being honest with how she’s feeling. Episode 3’s main moral was even about caring about the ones around you, so people claiming that Ragatha doesn’t actually care for the others really hurts.

If Jax expresses concern for the gang as the person he is, why wouldn’t Ragatha? Yes, she isn’t the most honest person in the room, but that doesn’t mean she’s fake and an actual mean-spirited person either. She genuinely does want to help people, but it comes at the expense of her own personal health and well-being. Everyone in this series comes with their own mental and emotional baggage, so putting certain characters in a “good” and “evil” section takes away the entire purpose of the show.

I’m just sick and tired of seeing female characters get the short end of the stick merely because of their negative experiences or moments of vulnerability. If we view Ragatha as some supervillain like her evil counterpart, who are we really fooling?

i'm soooooo tired of the bunnydoll haters. no matter what platform i’m on or what bunnydoll content i’m watching, there are always the same categories of idiots: people saying “why are you shipping jax and ragatha, they’re 22 and 30, that’s gross!!!” or “i prefer another ship” or “how can you ship them, they hate each other.” are you kidding me? they’re both adults. jax is not barely 18; he’s been an adult for a long time. and besides, from a canon perspective, this argument from haters falls apart for one reason. ragatha is 30, but she ended up in the circus a long time ago. how can she develop in such a place? she cannot level up in intelligence or self-development; they literally go through nothing but dumb adventures in the circus. her mental age, if not 30, is definitely lower. ragatha doesn’t even act like a 30-year-old; she’s such a sweet and carefree girl. how can bunnydoll even be considered a strange pairing when amanda hufford and michael kovach literally streamed as jax and ragatha in a romantic context, c'mon??? gooseworx liked several bunnydoll fan arts, amanda hufford love bunnydoll, and bunnydoll has support from the tadc team itself. so why can’t we love this pairing peacefully? we know that ragatha and jax have complicated feelings for each other, we understand their communication, but honestly, jax's interactions with other pairings are not any better. his communication will only improve with pomni; as for the others, I’m not sure. but for some reason, they keep coming at bunnydoll and funnybunny shippers with hate comments, even though we have plenty of reasons to ship our pairing. bunnydoll shippers aren’t even afraid of what might happen with jax and ragatha; we’re just anxious about how exactly it will happen. from the very beginning, it was clear that they would be navigating their complicated relationship because two episodes are dedicated to them. so why don’t we still have the right to love bunnydoll, even though we know what we might face?

we don’t have to give up our love for bunnydoll just because they have a complicated relationship. i wouldn’t be lying if i said they’ll have some of the most well-developed relationships in the entire animated series because there’s already groundwork for why ragatha and jax feel the way they do about each other. the fact that i’ve loved bunnydoll for over six months and can still find details in their unique relationship says a lot. leave bunnydoll shippers alone and live your life pls

Vent/Ramble I guess

i already posted this in one of the communities im in but i am terrified rn. To finish off one my classes for the year i have this HUGE final project where we can work in groups to make like a silly powerpoint about pretty much whatever as long as it’s school appropriate ofc. i chose to work by myself cause i dont really have any friends at this school but my presentation is about Raggedy Ann and Andy as how they’ve been misinterpreted by the media as Annabelle. I’ve finished today and im presenting tomorrow in front of my whole class. i just feel like a complete weirdo. im pretty sure im already seen as the quiet weird kid at my school. everyone else is presenting wayyy more entertaining and engaging powerpoints but raggedy ann is truly something im passionate about. At the end of the day i just feel out of place because i’m 15 and my biggest interests right now are wordgirl, dandys world, and raggedy ann and andy. not really something a teenager would really be into. but anyway, i don’t wanna be laughed at and i have huge stage fright.
