FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Today I tried out a blossom crystal lip balm from Riley Rose.
I purchased the Cherry flavor with flower infusions.
When first applied, it feels oily and applies smoothly. However, after sitting for about only 5 minutes, the oily feeling goes away and it makes my lips feel drier than they had before.
Overall, I would only purchase this item for the look of it. It definitely dries out your lips.

STAY HYDRATED
it’s entirely important to stay hydrated throughout the day. for some people, like me, it’s difficult to remember to drink water. here are some tips that I believe would help when staying hydrated.
1. Use a Cute Water Bottle: it sounds silly, but when my water bottle is appealing to me then I’m going to want to use it more.
2. Drink Flavored Water: if you aren’t a fan of the flavorlessness of water, then you can buy bottles of flavored water or add fruits to make your own.
3. Keep an alert on your phone to drink water. You can enable your phone to send you an alert at a certain time to drink water! If you start ignoring these alerts (like I do) then I recommend an app called Plant Nanny; it’s an app that allows you to water a cartoon plant every time you drink a glass of water throughout the day and then you can keep your own garden after drinking enough over time!

🌞👍
▪ Take two minutes to write out a list of what you’re grateful for.
▪ Get up, use the bathroom, wash your face and brush your teeth.
▪ Drink a glass of water.
▪ Stretch and/or meditate for five minutes.
▪ Do NOT check your phone immediately; wait at least fifteen minutes.
▪ Make your bed.
▪ Pick out your outfit the night before to save yourself some time.
▪ Take a five minute shower.
▪ Have a fulfilling breakfast.
▪ Place your alarm on the other side of your room, this way you HAVE to get up and shut it off.

i saw many posts about rose mists so i decided to give one a try. i got this for $7 at walmart (it’s my only local store lmao) and i use it probably 2-3 times a day. it keeps my face feeling soft and it smells great directly after applying. it’s a great way to feel fresh when there’s no time to use a face wash!

i’ve been using this Clinique face wash ever since i started getting acne around 11 years old. it’s around $20 but lasts for months. it’s a great basic face wash to make your skin feel clean and it helps with oiliness (there are other types by Clinique for other skin types) and it’s also not too intense of a wash to cause irritation. if you’re looking for an easy, daily face wash, i definitely suggest this.

another good (and cheap!!) lip product is this lip lacquer by elf. i got it from my local walmart for $2 and it keeps my lips glossy and moisturized for almost 2 hours! it’s one of my favorite, basic glosses and perfect for anyone who doesn’t want colored or scented glosses.

because of the colder, winter weather, i’d like to start off with a lip care recommendation. this $6 lip scrub from PINK makes my lips feel plumper and smoother after using and the mint scent gives my lips a refreshing feeling afterwards.
