Urgent Appeal, Rescue 5 families from Genocide in Gaza

Message from creator:

My name is Sabah Ali-Sheikh and I am organising this fundraising appeal on behalf of Abderrahman Abu Elmeza and Khaled Said who will be the beneficiaries of the funds raised.

Here is Abderrahman’s story:

“Dear Friends and Compassionate Supporters,

I am Abderrahman from Gaza and live in Belgium.

We come to you with heavy hearts but steadfast hope, seeking your kindness and generosity in support of our big family in Gaza. As the region continues to face immense challenges and hardships, we find ourselves grappling with the realities of daily life in a conflict-ridden area.

Our family members in Gaza are not only struggling to meet their basic needs but also facing immense uncertainty, death and fear due to the ongoing conflicts and economic instability. The situation is dire, with limited access to essential resources such as food, clean water, and medical supplies.

Our 5 families are from North Gaza and they are displaced in a tent in Rafah because our houses are bombed,

1- Reem Abul elmeza, and her child Ahmed. They lost the father, 2 sons, 2 daughters and grandson baby as bombing their house under their heads in 21 November 2023.

2- Mohammed and Sumaya Ahajjar and her children (Farah, Amal, Nesma, Salah)

3- Khaled and Basma Alhajjar and her children (Zeina, Laila, Said, Moatasem and Maryam)

4- Mohammed and Rasha Alhajjar and their children (Abderrahman, Hana, Jana, Said, Bushra)

5- Mohammed and Elham Elmadhoun and their children (Nour, Leen, Raghad, Anas and Farah)

Despite the adversity, our families remains resilient in South Gaza, Rafah, holding onto hope for a brighter future.

However, they cannot do it alone. They need our support, solidarity, and compassion to weather these turbulent times and rebuild their lives.

“I left Gaza two weeks before the war to build my future and help my family, but this war destroyed our future and dreams. I have collaborated with my uncle in creating a fundraising campaign to rescue my mother, my aunts and uncles and my younger brother, who is only (14) years old.

After my father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters who are the only sisters were flourishing my life and our grandson baby, 38 days old. They were martyred on 21/11/2023 due to the Israeli warplanes’ bombardment of our house in Beitlahia north Gaza, under their heads in the middle of the night. My mother and brother, who miraculously survived after injury from under the rubble. The escalation of violence, ongoing war, and bombardment led also to the destruction of my family's home and our grocery, source of living. Only my mother and brother are still alive, determined to stay resilient in the north, next to my father's grave, my 2 sisters' graves, baby Ahmed, my 2 brothers’ graves and the rubble of our home that holds all our memories, gatherings, and laughter for 200 days of war and fear.

In addition to the horror and bombardment, they suffer from a severe shortage of food, clean water, and exorbitant prices, making it impossible for them to buy or find some essentials to sustain them. I fear greatly for their safety or losing them like the rest of my family members. They are all I have left, and I desperately want to get them out and see them again.” Abderrahman Said

Certainly, here's a plan outlining how the raised funds can be allocated to facilitate our family's evacuation from Gaza to Egypt:

1. Documentation and Administrative Expenses: 28,000€ for passports

2. Hala company coordination fees: 109,000€ (11 adults*5000€=55,000 and 18 children*3000€=54,00) will be for to transport our families safely from Gaza to Alareesh in Egypt.

3. Rent 3 apartments for five families, 3 apartments*700 €* 3 months= 6.300€

4. Accommodation, living expenses and transportation for 3 months (5families*700€*3months)= 10500€

5. Medical expenses and food (640€*5families): 3,200€

Total Estimated Cost Range: 129,000€. (Approx. £113,000)

This financial plan provides a rough estimate of the costs involved in evacuating our families from Gaza to Egypt. The actual expenses may vary depending on factors such as the number of family members, transportation logistics, accommodation options, website fees and any unforeseen circumstances.

Urgently, Reem abu elmeza and her only survived son Ahmad will be the first family to leave Gaza from your donation then next families.

Here is the building in Beit Lahia which was bombed under the head of Reem's family while they were sleeping, and she has survived from under the rubble with her son Ahmed after injury.

Here is Ahmed and her mother were injured in the bombardment of their house and now they are still struggling to still alive

Here is the baby Ahmed, son of Amal Abu Elmza, Abderrahman's sister who was born in the war and live only 38 days of horror and genocide. The baby has been killed while he was sleeping hugging her mother Amal.

Here is me, Abderrahman on the left, then my beloved father, oldest brother Osama and my middle brother Islam.
