It truly makes me wonder if E/riels really read ACOSF when they say things like this:

Because if they truly read the book.... they'd know this happens after the bonus scene takes place:

And this:

Two scenes in which his shadows have a reaction when Gwyn is around or mentioned in ACOSF. One during training, one when Gwyn is in the Blood Rite. And there is no singing involved.

Oh, and in the bonus scene.. there is more than just that one mention of the shadows dancing with Gwyn breathe.

There is this before they even dance for her breathe:

And this happens when something restless settles in him during his scene with Gwyn:

And this is as Azriel is leaving his interaction with Gwyn:

Again, no *actual* singing involved. Azriel can hear & see things others cannot so when he's leaving he's not actually hearing Gwyn sing. He's hearing faint, beautiful singing that follows him that his shadows sing back to, which can only be concluded as foreshadowing of a mate bond between them since Nessian bond snaps into place that same night and is described as music between their souls. If Gwyn was the one singing, that would have been made clear.

I rest my case 😌

In ACOSF, the Valkyries are in the Blood Rite and while there Gwyn talks about how she's tired of being in the library....which only means she has a journey to go on herself...

She then goes on to say she doesn't want to take the safe road and instead wants to take a new road with the Valkryies. A road that will lead them to become something NEW. That something new and different would then lead to prove and triumph over everyone, but especially the Illyrians rules and restrictions.

Then, after she's done saying that... A cold wind blew off Ramiels sides. Whispering, murmuring.... almost prophetic wouldn't you say? Especially given she's a Priestess...

Could she be prophesying a road that will now be taken? A road which will lead a new beginning and bright future for them, and the Illyrians?

Could she be the catalyst alongside Azriel to bring change to the Illyrians with the Valkyries standing beside her?

I hope we get answers soon 🙏

You know what...

I think it's fitting and on brand Azriel would question his "religion", is feeling unworthy, and is in turn mated to a PRIESTESS who also feels unworthy of the Invoking Stone.

They both will have to grapple with their unworthiness but the Mother has placed them in each other's path for them to grow and accept who they are and who they will be for each other.

SJM doesn’t NEED 30 books of “build up” for her love stories to be great. The fact some people point this out as an argument for why Gwyn and Azriel can’t be a thing shows that you haven’t read ALL of Sarah’s book.

For those who haven’t read Throne of Glass allow me to introduce you to not just one but TWO couples featured in this book that had ZERO interaction prior to Tower of Dawn. Chaol Westfield and his WIFE Yrene Westfall (Towers) and Nesyrn Faliq and Prince Sartaq.

Neither of these couples were aware of each other prior to this book, two of these characters had very little to no pages time prior to this book too. So your excuse that Sarah can’t write Gwyn and Azriel and make it a good story because there was no previous build up doesn’t fly because Tower of Dawn was a good book and the amount of people that love both these couples prove you so very wrong.

Plus Sarah’s books are almost 1000 pages long sometimes. So you’re telling me that a romance novel with 200-300 pages, that y’all like to say we’ve NEVER read 🙄, will make yall swoon when strangers get together but not Azriel and Gwyn with more the double those pages. Give me a break 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

When you make up a theory about a character who is arguably one of the best, least toxic character to paint them in a bad light because Azriel's shadows have a positive reaction to them... I just know you are threatened because if his shadows reacted the way they do to Elain...you'd be singing from the rooftops an E/riel endgame.

Azriel..the shadowsinger who can see/hear things others cannot...his shadows singing back to some silent music...his shadows are reacting to the mating bond that WILL be revealed later, not only to him but to us the audience. This is called foreshadowing.

I NEED the redheads in the series (Gwyn and Lucien) to get their happy endings with their mates.

Why? Because they are the least problematic, toxic characters and these two redheads deserve the world. Also, these two redheaded fictional characters get a lot of hate over a ship war and I've seen some pretty sickening takes just because they are redheads.

Plus, it would be justice for those out there who look down upon redheads and call them names. Redheads deserve love and happiness to instead of the hate they receive.

Parallels of ACOTAR men fighting to save their love interests

Lucien fought his way across a battlefield to reach Elain and make sure she was okay.

Azriel slaughtered all the remaining soldiers at Sangravah to save Gwyn and protect her from further harm. Which is similar to Lucien....

Helion tore beasts apart with his bare hands to save Lady Autumn.

Rhysand tore into the Twin ravens to save Feyre from them - Like he’d clawed through them with his bare hands - which is similar to what Helion did for Lady Autumn.

Lucien's Gifts To Elain

Lucien gifts to Elain are soooo much more meaningful than a generic necklace.

He gifted her ENCHANTED GLOVES that would protect her hands while she gardens during the first Solstice. This was a very well thought out gift for his mate who loves to garden.

For the second Solstice, he gifted her PEARL EARRINGS. And you know what's said about pearls themselves?

If someone gives you a pearl, they probably care about you very much and want to express their love in a unique and timeless way.

In ancient Rome, pearls were seen as a symbol of purity, loyalty, and innocence.

Those pearl earrings were given to Elain by Lucien with longing etched on Lucien's face. He is loyal to her and only her and that gift shows he cares very much for Elain, even if she might not return the same sentiment right now.

With these gifts,, Lucien is trying to show Elain he cares for her, knows her, and would protect her from any harm. Even with the distance between them right now.

And I have a feeling Elain was uncomfortable with the pearl earrings gift, and around Lucien, because Lucien sees her and she is scared that someone who isn't close to her at the moment can see and care for her so clearly.

Gwynriel and How To Train Your Dragon

If any of y'all have watched How To Train Your Dragon... Toothless and the Light Fury are totally Gwynriel coded in my mind.

Especially after watching this scene in which Toothless tries to impress the Light Fury and she's just not impressed:

You can't tell me that wouldn't be Azriel trying to impress Gwyn after realizing he has feelings for her.

Plus, we do have that scene in ACOSF where Azriel shows up to training and gives Gwyn a small smile which she does not return sooooo 👀
