FRIENDLY REMINDER: LUCIEN PROBABLY GOT PAPA ARCERON’S BLESSING TO BE WITH ELAIN 😭

I know that Elain will have internal battles about her father’s death in her novel. Elain was probably the only sister who loved her father unconditionally. Even Feyre knew that Elain was the special child, the one whom their father adored.

I also think it is so beautiful that Lucien went on an entire adventure with Papa Archeron. I think about the fact that he most likely gave his blessing to Lucien to be with Elain 😭

Out of all the mated males, Lucien was the only one that got close to Papa Archeron. I think his blessing will mean the world to Elain. Even though it is not something necessary ( which the elriels will claim) I know that Elain will hold that to her heart forever.

I am just so ready for them to completely open up after all these years. I know Elain will love the story about Lucien’s adventure with her father. It will be incredible.

Elain didn’t “consent” to Nesta changing her that’s why it didn’t happens. Gwyn didn’t “consent” to being with Azriel so I’m not shipping them. I’ve seen this being argued A LOT lately and I think I need to let everyone in on a little secret, are you ready for it?

BOOK CHARACTERS ARE FICTIONAL, THEY CAN’T CONSENT TO ANYTHING. Book characters are inanimate objects that have no agency. They have no REAL thoughts and opinions. They are puppets and Sarah Janet Maas is their puppeteer. They do and say what SHE wants. Did y’all miss the part in English class where fantasy is not reality and shouldn’t be treated as such? Did absolutely no one teach you to SEPARATE reality from fiction?

Lucien being the one to spend time with the girls father was done with intention. Elain being the one closest to their father was done with intention.

He's going to help Elain the most with her continued grief over the death of her father. Because there is no way she's over his death.

Lucien more than likely has some stories he could tell her of his time with him. I bet he also got told some things about Elain from her father, which only endured him towards her. Which is why he continues to try to be there for her in any capacity, even with the distance between them.

I also do wonder if he made a promise to her father to protect and look after Elain if something happened to him. I just know if something was to happen with Elain, and she needed him, he'd be there in a heartbeat for her 💖

Gwyn got Azriel to reveal something PERSONAL when he admitted that he could in fact sing. Versus Elain Archeron and her “can you truly fly?” Thats the big deal. We learned something NEW from a question Gwyn asked vs. a duh kinda question from Elain.

Also tell me you don’t know what a Shadowsinger is without telling us. Being a Shadowsinger isn’t anything to do with singing, it’s a type of fae. Please put the books down and step away from them cause girliepop 😳 no he’s never mentioned that he can sing, unless….are you claiming he did it OFF PAGE? 🤭…and while we are on the topic of off page….

sweetheart off page means it wasn’t WRITEN in the book. Like in ACOSF we know the boys had their snowball fight, Cassian tells us it happened, Azriel tells us it happened but we never see it on page. On page we see it happen on page. Like Nesta’s slumber party with Emerie and Gwyn, it’s actual text we can READ. Bless your heart. 🫶🏻

Epistolary (adj., of a literary work) in the form of letters. After the winter solstice in ACOSF, Elain and Lucien exchange letters as a means to get to know each other away from prying eyes. This fic is a collection of those letters.

Author’s Note: HERE WE GO! This fic was written between me (crazy-ache) and @zenkindoflove. We each selected a character (you’ll have to guess who though) and then wrote back and forth, pen-pal style. The first installment is now posted! We hope you enjoy our passion project.

You know what I find interesting?

In ACOSF, Elain doesn't credit Azriel for his part in helping save her from Hybern's camp even though he literally carried her out of there. She gives the credit to Feyre.

In the Bryce, Nesta, and Azriel Bonus Chapter for HOFAS, Azriel doesn't credit Elain for her part in helping with taking down Hybern. He gives the credit to Nesta alone for taking down Hybern.

If they were truly endgame, don't you think it would have been a good idea for these two to give credit to each other when the topic of these events got brought up to reinforce a connection? Instead, they both credited other people....

But you know who does give credit to Elain for her role in helping take down Hybern? Her mate, Lucien. (And don't bring Rhysand into this because he never gave her credit out loud where others could hear)

Lucien who she is still connected to even throughout ACOSF and HOFAS because Azriel makes it clear there is no one when Bryce asks him personal questions on if he had a partner/mate and we know from his own bonus chapter he doesn't consider Elain anything more than a sexual fantasy for him (even though I do happen to think he does have a mate, Gwyn, but the bond just hasn't snapped for him to say he does yet).

Elucien and Gwynriel will be endgame if you look at Sarah writing from these two books.
