i’ve yet to properly watch the bad batch and most other pieces of the star wars franchise but i’ve been following along with the show a little and I’ve gotten so so so connected to the characters somehow that i’m now concerned for my health because Tech being gone is making me cry way too quickly for hardly knowing them.

Lifeline

༻ I see her love language also being words of affirmation! Giving as well as receiving. In a group, she’s the one who builds up the rest of the team’s esteem with encouraging words and the prowess of her own spirit alone.

༻ Though it’s not always easy keep up, even for someone as bright and uplifting as her. She’s a pillar for most, but still has her own burdens and moments of self-doubt. It would be good to have someone who could comfort her when she’s feeling down. And not just physically, but emotionally, with empathy and understanding.

༻ As much as she loves Octane, he absolutely does not have the interpersonal skills for things like that. So it’s a very good thing she has an s/o who does.

༻ Your words are needed when conflicts with her parents weigh on her most. Times where her self image and individuality feel overpowered by her family name and reputation. She worries if no matter what she does, people will never see her for who she is, or fully trust her to be the golden-hearted provider she is.

༻ “Some people might have their own assumptions about you, but I promise you what you do, and the amount of people you help, always outshines all of that. They don’t know you like me and your friends know you. It’s in people’s nature to judge, but I’m always here to remind you how wonderful you are, Ajay.”

Wattson

༻ For her, I see words of affirmation usually coming in the form of compliments. They make her blush like crazy but she’ll always excitedly return your kind words. Loves to add a big hug with that, and or a cute pun.

༻ “Thank you, my sweetheart. You have a way of… amping my heart, you know? I’m always… ec-static to be around you.”

༻ It’s rare for her to be feeling super down. She already has a huge support system with the other legends, so it’s been a while since she last felt as though any heavy burden was really weighing on her shoulders. But when she does feel that way every once in a while, and the legends can’t help because of how bad she feels, it’s typically when she’s reminiscing on the loss of her father.

༻ She will always miss him more than anything, and wonders if he would’ve been proud of her and her accomplishments. She’s accomplished amazing things, anyone would agree, but it’s hard for her to take it in. Especially because her biggest supporter and inspiration is not physically there to congratulate her.

༻ “Of course he’s proud of you, Nat. Very proud of you, wherever he is. You have such an amazing, innovative mind. How could he not be? He may not be here, but he will always be a part of you.”

Vantage

༻ Dear is still learning more social skills by the day. So words of affirmation are especially great at letting her know she’s doing well adjusting to being around other people. While she isn’t adamant on “fitting in” in any particular way, she does want to be able to socialize and learn about other people.

༻ “You did great today!”

༻ “Thank you… dear!” She also occasionally tries her shot at pet names.

༻ Blushes and struggles to hold back a smile when you encourage her along with a kiss on the cheek. She found her body’s natural reaction weird at first (“What did you do to me? My face is burning—”), but has gotten more used to it.

༻ Words of affirmation also help when she’s stressed about her mother’s framing. She’s always worried that she’s not doing enough, or that she might not ever be able to free her mom.

༻ “You’re doing everything you can, Mara. The fight hasn’t ended yet. Your mom ismstrong, you’re strong, and I know you—we— can figure this out.”

༻ Likes to try and give you words of affirmation as well. “Don’t worry about it—” she pauses to think of a pet name, “Honey. You’re awesome! Anyone who says otherwise is probably weak and very easy to kill. Their words are their only defense. All bark and no bite— I think the saying goes.”

Hey gang. I know I said I was going to post another fic but I haven’t been feeling too motivated lately (also started fixating on tmnt again). Sorry to those who have been waiting over a month for a certain request to be fulfilled. Just feeling a little stuck on ideas. There’s a couple of requests i’ll finish for sure—eventually—but the others? I haven’t been able to think of not one thing to say about them and i apologize for that. DX

However, with that being said, I still have something to share with y’all:

That apex “thing” I was talking about? Yeah, it’s an Apex Personality Quiz that I‘ve been putting together for the last couple of months now. I’m quite excited about it!

I’m a huge nerd for psychology and personality quizzes so I thought I’d make one for the legends! Please, if you take it, let me know what you think. If I should add more to it or if it seems accurate enough!

I still have a few legends to add to it, but so far I have results for over half of them. I’m adding Rampart and a few others after I post this.

I’m quite confident about its accuracy, as when I tried it for myself, I got Catalyst!! I’ve always thought we were super similar. My other top 3-5 results check out as well. I like to look at them and mix the answers.

Dating Revenant in Private

pairing: revenant x reader

༻ It would seem, at first, that it wouldn’t be too complicated dating Revenant privately. You both prefer to keep more private lifestyles. He’s unapproachable, only goes out for work, and certainly doesn’t let anyone in his business.

༻ But it actually came to be harder than expected. Not by much, but there’s still a little risk.

༻ Revenant isnt known just for his assassinations and hellish appearance, but for his performance in the apex games too. And unfortunately, even a stone cold robot assassin can form an intense fanbase.

༻ He didn’t care for the idolization either way until the public took it as an opportunity to try and poke their noses into his personal life. Which he actually has now that he’s with someone.

༻ Some paparazzi actually have the balls to try and follow him outside the games sometimes, and that pisses him off to no end. He always thinks about killing them right then and there, but then he’d have to explain to you where all the blood came from.

༻ And being the gentleman he is, he wouldn’t want to step into his partner’s home like that.

༻ Especially since your home is somewhere for him to fall back, somewhere to find peace and a little routine. You help him experience a tinge of normalcy while he struggles with his immortality and sense of self. He’s made it a rule to never come home with the remnants of what he’s done throughout the day.

༻ Because your place is sanctuary to him, where any public perception of him is able to be left at the door.

༻ So the idea of anyone catching sight of it when it’s none of their business makes him quite possessive of you. He hates how aggressive fans or media outlets run the possibility of affecting your relationship with obscure narratives or stupid rumors. He fumes at the thought of anyone or anything ruining your relationship, because you’re pretty much all he has.

Alter General + Relationship Headcanons

General Headcanons

༻ I only listened to their interactions once, but I immediately thought Maggie and Alter have some kind of chemistry so… I’m keeping an eye on them…for funzies…its not often i see a chaotic x chaotic dynamic and take interest!

༻ Alter has said so many different things about her origins. I feel like either none of that stuff is true, or she’s an amalgamation of several versions of herself and her morals are really mixed up because of that.

༻ And that could explain the beef she has with certain legends. Chances are they’re the bad guys in her reality (or if she’s an amalgamation of multiple versions of herself, several realities)

Now onto relationship headcanons!

༻Alter in a relationship is either very dysfunctional or works in a similar nature as a long distance relationship does. (Since she’s often dimensions away)

༻ I almost think she’s too much a sadist to not also be one in a romantic relationship. I can hardly imagine her having a *relaxing* day off with a partner. Even Revenant seems more chill haha!

༻ But as insane as she seems, perhaps she has an off switch.

༻ Her love language may be quality time. And perhaps acts of service.

༻ She’s often traveling between dimensions, whether for a job or for her own endeavours. But when she has time for you, she makes it count.

༻ I’m not quite sure what her character archetype fully is yet, but i feel like a relationship with her would be very… engaging. She’d probably keep you on your toes with small mind tricks, pranks, and tons of teasing.

༻ And be ready for bizarre dates with high-stake activities. She can do more normal dates if you suggest or plan something, but if you let her plan a date, you’re in for quite a whirlwind. Even if you’re on a date that you planned, she‘ll still find something crazy to do before it’s over.

༻ Imagine leaving the date you had at a restaurant thinking you could enjoy a peaceful walk home that night only for her to spot an abandoned building and decide “let’s burn the rest of it down >:)”

༻ for funzies!

༻ Actually, if you’re one for violence and destruction as well, she’d bring you to different dimensions to wreck stuff, break laws, be as bad as you want all for a date. Think of it as going to a rage room, with the added adventure of jumping dimensions.

༻ “You can do anything you want dear. Wreak havoc on this place like none of it matters.”

༻ She really likes taking you places. Genuinely likes showing you new things and seeing your eyes shine with curiosity and/or morbid glee at the different dimensions she takes you to. Will occasionally bring you somewhere more peaceful, with nice scenery.

༻ Whether you notice or not, a warm, proud smile grows on her face when she’s successfully impressed you.

༻ She can be quite the charmer when she wants to be.

Hello! I hope you’re having a great day/night!! I had this idea but I’m lacking my writing skills so here we go,

Mirage and octane dating their s/o (l HC that octane would date someone the opposite of him, the rare occasion that he will stop just for them) but their s/o want to keep it a secret because they’re scared people won’t like that they are in a relationship in general (like when kpop celebrities date someone and their fans go crazy toxic) idk if this makes sense but thank you and take care!!

Dating the Legends in Private

Mirage

༻ Mirage has a lot of things. Money and success from the bloodsport he made his career. A reputation and bloated ego followed around by cameras.

༻ But he’s never had love before. Not in the way he does with you. And it’s an entirely different thing from all that…

༻ It’s not something you can just show to the public so easily. But he really wants to.

༻ “I love you, so my fans will love you!”

༻ It doesn’t really work like that… with the Apex games being so big, Mirage is nothing less of a trending celebrity. That’s too many eyes peering into your relationship, you think.

༻ And people online can be heinous.

༻ Though his ecstatic pitch and sweet smile almost had you sold on the idea, you had to mention your concerns over the tougher realities of being in the public eye alongside him.

༻ He knows, but he loved the idea so much he was hoping you’d wanna risk everything for it like he wants to…

༻ He’s a little sad, but of course he keeps you off his social media as you wish; no questions asked.

༻ He probably thinks about it further and also starts making himself less recognizable when he’s in public with you. Wouldn’t want a fan or paparazzi disrupting a date with you after all.

༻ Not to mention the idea of anyone saying something below respectful or endearing of you makes his chest puff a little. He’d have no qualms confronting the source of the act. Online or otherwise…

༻ Wouldn’t be too surprised (or disappointed) if he got into a controversy for that!

Octane

༻ We’re well aware he lives on social media.

༻ Phone and selfie stick always on hand. Livestreams during the most casual of times.

༻ So I can imagine that if you didn’t let him know about your boundaries beforehand, you’re gonna find yourself in an awkward situation where a camera is shoved in your face and honestly— depending on how much you really don’t wanna be seen— you might catch your boy off guard with the harsh shove you gave his arm when he moved to pan the camera to you.

༻ He just thought a semi-regular appearance with the two of you together would be nice. Sure, he’s an adrenaline junkie, always doing crazy stunts, and that’s what people wanna see. But daredevil activities are not the only thing that make him happy.

༻ You make him happy too, so he wants to post you. But he completely understands the turn it could take.

༻ Realistically, I imagine him sneaking a photo of you onto his social media anyway. Perhaps a blurry portrait of you. The candid, aesthetic kind that has you mid smile.

༻ Whether you scold him for technically going against your wishes or not is up to you.

༻ And depending on how serious you seem with wanting to keep your relationship separate from his public persona, he’d probably think back on how he handled that. He’d start to feel a little regretful. It makes him realize he may have lost some of your trust. And he definitely doesn’t want that.

༻ He decides to take down the post and apologize to you. Sure, there are still screenshots and reposts out there. But that’s all they’ll ever see of you from this point forward. For once, he’ll take this seriously.

༻ And for a guy who isn’t known for handling consequences well, the idea of negative comments from celebrity articles or the typical weird, possessive behavior from fans upsets him and he now understands your reasoning more.
