9. Jim said himself that he didn’t want Garden Lodge. Owning such a large house takes a lot of work, and he didn’t want to remain in a place that would constantly remind him of Freddie after he was gone. He wasn’t upset that Mary got the house; he was upset that he was kicked out when he barely had time to process Freddie’s death.

10. This is back when society was at the height of its homophobia, thanks to the AIDS virus. If Freddie had left his fortune and house to Jim, there would have been a media frenzy. Jim would never have been able to live a normal life; he would have been hounded by the press, possibly the target of homophobic attacks, and harassed by fans. Jim wasn’t used to fame like Freddie was; he wanted a quiet, simple life and Freddie knew this.

11. Jim grew up in poverty and admitted himself that he didn’t know how to handle large amounts of money, purely because he had never had much in his life. Mary, on the other hand, worked in finances and was more accustomed to dealing with public exposure. It was only practical that she take on the burden of Freddie’s estate and his money. She’s even gone on to complain herself about how difficult life has been for her handling Freddie’s fortune and sometimes she wishes he hadn’t left her with the majority of it.

12. The entire premise around the ashes is sketchy, because there’s no actual evidence that Freddie only wanted Mary to know where his ashes were. We only have Mary’s word for it, and given how many times she’s lied and contradicted her own stories, she definitely isn’t a reliable source. I have a hard time believing that Freddie would deny his loved ones - especially Jim and his family - access to the knowledge of knowing where his final resting place is.

Thanks for proving once again that Mary fans are just as shallow and braindead as she is.

For real - what do you think the reasoning behind leaving Jim practically nothing in comparison to his ex was?

Jim and Freddie were also building a bungalow for themselves in Ireland, so Freddie probably thought Jim would eventually live in that house they were planning together

Jim thought he knew where Freddie wanted his ashes, too

Jim said Freddie simply made a promise to Mary before he ever met him, and Freddie didn’t break his promises

Jim was also HIV positive, and honestly, Freddie might have felt that Jim wasn’t going to be around to take care of that house all that much longer

Freddie felt guilty about Mary his whole life because she was a manipulative asshole who refused to stop inserting herself into his personal life and relationships

The people who believe her are either too dumb to live or know she’s full of shit but support her claims purely because they don’t want to believe Freddie was gay and anything other than an irresponsible, self-centred party animal.

Just look at how she wrote about Jim in her first book compared to the second. Two completely opposite accounts of his relationship with Freddie. When people rightfully questioned her on why Jim suddenly does a 180 in her LOML biography, she had the audacity to claim that she had “overlooked” certain parts of her interview and was only now including them.

Yeah, no. Anyone who believes that hasn’t got two braincells to rub together. Is she really trying to say that Jim told her that his relationship with Freddie was happy and committed, but also they weren’t actually as in love as he claimed and Freddie treated him terribly, in the exact same interview?

No, Lesley. You’re lying. Jim’s dead and can no longer defend himself, so you’ve decided to stab him in the back and hop on the bandwagon of kissing Mary’s ass because it’s more profitable for you. You’re a shameless, money hungry leech and I hope you choke on a cactus.

The amount of people who pick up 1 biography which has no actual source behind whatever shit they claim and think they know it all is actually insane. Like absolutely this person who has never met Freddie in his life definitely knows him better than his friends 🫠

Especially considering how most biographies and even documentaries about Freddie have some kind of bullshit in them—it’s insane how unreliable most pieces of media about Freddie are, and then people think they’re true

I’m going to be taking a break from this blog for a while. My interest in Queen has been waning recently and I can’t find the motivation to write for it. I’m determined to continue my WIP on AO3 but other than that, I won’t be posting any content. 

I’ll keep the blog up in case I decide to come back and I’ll keep in touch over PM should any of you ever want to talk. I appreciate all the support you guys have given me these past two years. Hopefully one day I’ll get my inspiration back ❤️

I’m sorry, but unless the author’s note is right in the middle of a piece of text, how can it possibly be “distracting”? And the fact they have the audacity to think you’ll go back and delete them specifically for one individual.

I was talking about fanfiction to a friend and went and found not only one of the only negative comments I've ever received on fanfiction, but the bitchiest one, too:

[transcript (because I realize how small it is): I'm enjoying this story so far but I want to say two things. First, you know that people can only leave kudos on a story one time, right? It's not once per chapter. So if people left kudos on chapter 1, the same readers wouldn't be able to leave them again on chapter 2. That's just how this archive works. Second, I hate your author notes at the beginning and end. They're totally distracting tothe flow of the story. I'm not saying this to be a jerk but its almost enough to make me stop reading it. Maybe now that it's finished (the story i mean) you could go back and delete them. It feels like reading something on fanfiction.net like ten years ago. No offence, just thought I'd mention it. The story is good, though.]

Like lmfao imagine being that condescending to a fic author who was asking why the kudo count in a WIP took a noticeable dip, first of all, and then and being like, "Yes, you wrote tens of thousands of words for free and this story is good, but you communicating with your readers in the author's notes is so cringe that I almost don't want to read your free story anymore--go delete them!"

I was soooo much nicer to this person than I should have been, too. If this were to happen now, I'd be like, "Cope and seethe, entitled bitch."

I’ve waited fourteen years but last night I finally had the opportunity to meet one of my favourite youtubers in the world. Not only is Dan a sweet, caring person in the flesh, he also put on an amazing show that left me in tears by the end. Genuinely one of the best nights of my life and I now feel inspired to keep fighting, despite how hard and terrifying life can be. Dan Howell, you’re an inspiration. I hope you know how much you mean to us 💜

I don't like Chamomile, but you love it. That's okay. It's not doing me any harm for you to drink Chamomile tea, and hey, more for you!

I like peppermint. You don't have to like it, but if you do I'll share some.

Treat fandom this way please.

You wouldn't harass someone in real life over not enjoying your favorite tea flavor, you would move on.

You also wouldn't go out of your way to buy a tea you dislike. You probably wouldn't even think about buying it and would ignore it on the store shelf.

The block button and tag filters exist for this reason.

It's less taxing on your mind and takes less of your time to chose to not interact with things you dislike. However, if you want to talk about your dislike of something, it's easier to do so with like-minded people. So if I chose to speak about my pure and unfathomable hatred for the taste of Chamomile tea, I'm going to do it with others who feel similarly.

I'm not going to tell people who's favorite tea in the world is Chamomile, that they shouldn't like it, because I don't.

That's their flavor of tea, and different flavors of tea add to the diversity! There's a flavor for everyone, and while some may not be for you, others are!

That diversity is what makes a community, a fandom, beautiful. It's only difficult to coexist when you make it that way.

I'm posting this because several people I know and myself are being harassed across several fandoms. I encourage you to reblog this, but it's not necessary.
