Hi, I'm Emerald (genderfluid, it/its and neos preferred, he/they/she acceptable)! I decided to write some stuff, so this is where it will go.

Hi,
It’s you friendly neighbor fanfic author here. In the light of this apparent new trend of people feeding unfinished fics to AI to get an “ending,” and some people even talking about “blanket permissions,” let me just say this:
I EXPLICITLY FORBID ANYONE TO FEED MY FICS TO AI. DUDE, THAT IS ABOUT THE LEAST RESPECTFUL THING YOU CAN DO. IF YOU DO IT, SHALL YOU BE EXCOMMUNICATED FROM YOUR FANDOM AND WALK ON LEGOS BAREFOOT TILL THE END OF DAYS.
That is my anti-permission.
Thank you for your attention.

hey hey— i loved the angsty c!grian x reader fic (the newest one you uploaded, i mean), and was wondering if you'd do a sequel for it? not forced, obviously
as for a plot, that's entirely up to you!! i don't have any ideas atm so feel free to write whatever you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
thanks in advance if you do this !! /gen
Hi there! Thanks for the request! I had a bit of inspiration strike, so I hope you enjoy! The anon's talking about this fic!
Regrets Are Sweet (But My Heart is Stronger)
c!Grian x gn!Reader (one-sided)
Summary: You’ve moved on, but he doesn’t know.
Notes: Angsty, unrequited love (but reversed this time :3), could be read as mild yandere. The server that the reader has moved to is left up to you, pick your favorite!
This place is peaceful. You’ve carved out a nice little life for yourself on this server, made new friends and found a place for yourself among them. Here, you can walk around without seeing his builds, talk to people without hearing his voice, and live without a remnant of him in your mind. It’s been months since he’s crossed your thoughts.
“Thanks for the help!” You wave as the others strap on their elytras, waving back and blasting off with rockets to return to their homes. Turning, you smile. Your newest build stands proudly near your house, and despite the vast number of cows held inside, only a fraction of their “moo”s can be heard from where you are. The barn started as a personal project, but when your friends saw the skeleton of a build, they insisted on pitching in- and it’s all the better for it.
Sighing contentedly, you began to make your way back to the entrance of your home, stopping short when there’s a buzz on your communicator. Pulling it out of your pack, your eyes widen when you see the message in the general chat.
<Grian has joined the game.>
Why was he here? You stayed in place, frozen for a moment, unable to peel your attention from the message. Greetings came from your servermates, a couple questioning who he was, and he responded happily, unaware of your predicament.
Soon, another message came through:
<Grian whispered to you: Y/N! Where are you?>
It took a moment to register. Thinking for a heartbeat, you tapped out a response.
<You whispered to Grian: Don’t come to me. I’ll meet you at spawn.>
His next message was an enthusiastic acknowledgement. Stiffly, you packed a few essentials for traveling anywhere away from home, delaying as long as you thought was reasonable before setting out. Why had Grian come after you after so long, and after you left so abruptly?
When you landed at spawn, Grian was pacing at the top of a nearby hill. Upon seeing you, he grinned.
“Y/N! There you are!” He rushed forward, wings spread so he could make large leaps to clear the distance between you. Before he could hug you, though, you stepped to the side, and he pouted dramatically. “Is that any way to treat your ticket home?”
You stayed still, only tilting your head slightly. “What do you mean?”
He holds out a hand. “You can come home! Don’t you want to come back to Hermitcraft with me?”
“I am home.” Your expression remained blank. “I have friends here- family, even. You were the only one I was close to there, and that tie was severed long ago.”
Grian frowns slightly, gesturing pleadingly as he spoke. “Y/N, that tie isn’t severed. Look, I’m here! I want you to come home- I care a lot about you!”
Shaking your head, you stared at him. “I already told you. I’m staying here. I’m happy here, without you.”
“But I’m not!” He was speaking far too loudly, almost shouting in his earnestness. “Y/N, I love you!”
“You shattered my heart.” There was a chill to your voice that had never been directed at Grian before, and he stepped back. “There’s no room left there for you. I am happier and stronger without you.”
Turning, you began to leave.
“Y/N, wait!” He called out behind you. You heard the flutter of wings as he rushed forward, and you turned for a moment to glare at him. Grian shrunk back, but didn’t back down. “I’ve searched every server to find you. Please! Just give me a chance?”
You laughed. “You had every chance. You chose Mumbo and Scar, remember? I’m sure they’re waiting for you at home. Just leave, Grian.”
His head dropped, and he looked so sad you almost pitied him. “They’re… We’re not together anymore. They were never my first choice. It was always you, Y/N.”
It tore at your heart, the way your former friend looked back up at you. Grian reached out a hand again, tears plainly welling in his eyes. “Please, Y/N. I need you.”
And yet you set me to the side, every time. The words echoed in your brain, though you couldn’t bring yourself to say them out loud. “I’m not leaving my home. Goodbye, Grian.”
Turning once again, you didn’t hear any further pleads he may have made. Pulling out your communicator, you tabbed over to the map and began to return home.

Hiya Emerald! Wanted to know if you have any preferred neos :)
Hello!
No, I don't have any neos that I tend to use more than others. I use a mixture of what I consider more abstract neos (xey/xem, fae/faer, etc) and noun-based ones (star/stars, moon/moonself, bright/brights, chir/chirp/chirpself, etc). I tend towards a lot of star and sky-based neos for the latter category, but that's by no mean a rule. I'm good with whatever people want to use for me!
Thanks for asking!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day!! could I request a Scar x a mute reader, thanks!
Also may I be 👑 anon? (They/Them)
Welcome, 👑anon! I’m happy to have you!
Sweet Silence
c!Scar x mute!Reader
Summary: When you don’t talk, Scar is happy to fill the silence between you.
Warnings: None here, just fluff!
Note: The reader uses messages on their communicator and sign language to communicate.
You didn’t speak. That was just a fact. And on the HermitCraft server, that was fine. After a moment of initial surprise, the hermits were happy to accommodate, giving you time to respond with your communicator or through sign. All of them were kind and considerate, but one of them shone like a beacon to you.
Scar was never the quietest hermit. Smooth-talking and full of ideas, he loved to share. And you loved to listen. For hours, you would spend time around him to hear his voice as he showed you his newest build or described his next business venture. Whenever you typed out a comment or a question, there was hardly a pause as he read it, and it felt as natural for Scar to respond to your messages and signs as if he were speaking to one of the others.
The other hermits watched as you picked up on each others’ habits. Scar spoke animatedly with his hands and started to mimic some of the signs you used most often. You adapted to his quick pace, nodding along and taking on a similarly upbeat tone in your signing. It was no secret in the server that the two of you were close.
Soon, Scar and you announced that you’d be working on something together: lessons in sign for all the hermits who wanted to learn. While Scar was no master, he’d picked up enough from spending time with you to know the basics, and to share those with his friends.
You were happy to teach them, and it didn’t hurt that Scar wanted to learn more on the side. You were always happy to spend time with him. He was sweet, kind, and very compassionate, energetic and optimistic. It took only a short time for you to realize that your feelings for him weren’t entirely platonic.
The first few weeks went by, and your lessons were a hit among your friends. Many of them showed up for the first one, and some of the less social hermits asked if you would be willing to do smaller groups, which you were absolutely able to do.
But in between them all, you kept coming back to Scar. He was your biggest supporter. Whenever you were teaching the others, he stood slightly to the side, watching your movements intently. Several times, you caught him practicing the signs out of the corner of your eye, though you never could quite tell what he was signing, as he stood at a slight angle.
But the thing that surprised you most was one day outside of these lessons. Scar had sent you a message, saying he had something to show you. You arrived at his base soon enough, expecting him to show you a new build or shop. And he did, giving you a quick tour of a new section of the base. But after a moment, he stopped and looked at you. Expecting him to say something, you tilted your head in question.
Instead of words, he instead raised his hands to sign a simple message.
I love you.

PAIRING: Ghost!Eret x GN!Reader
SUMMARY: Get a job as a tour guide at the local historic castle!’, they said. ‘It’ll be fun!’, they said. Well, now a specter of the last monarch to be crowned in its old halls has decided you’re the best thing since sliced bread, and you have to live with it.
WARNINGS: Mild language, implied/referenced death, implied/referenced murder, body horror, fainting mention
A/N: Okay- I know the warnings look bad, but in my opinion the fic is a lot lighter than it may first appear. Don’t judge a book by its cover, or… something. Anyways, enjoy, and remember to take care of yourselves y’all!

Hello! So, I’m new here, and not exactly sure if you’re up to it (saw that request are open, but you can decide if you want to do it or not) but can I request platonic hermitcraft x reader? Like, reader is pretty honest, but if they’re asked if they did something nice for them, they would lie and say it was probably someone else, out of habit? (Like they give gifts to the hermits, or get something the hermits said they needed?) Idk if you want to do this, it’s just a silly idea. You can choose who you want to write for.
…Have you been watching me? This is exactly what I do- If they ask me outright, I’ll answer that it was me but I don’t generally tell people that gifts are from me.
All Too Kind
c!Hermits x gn!Reader
Summary: Some overnight gifts quickly become a serverwide mystery. You, however, are content to remain anonymous.
Notes: None! It's just a fluffy little thing!
You packed the cakes into the chest carefully. Even stacks, spread into rows on the bottom of the chest. Smiling, you stepped back, closing the lid with a soft and satisfying thunk.
Grian will love this.
Kneeling to the ground, you dug in your pack for the worn map of the server and a fresh stack of rockets to keep you in the air.
Next target: False Symmetry.
“Did you hear the news, dude? Someone’s been leaving gifts of cake everywhere!” As you walked through the shopping district, Ren’s voice carried from where he stood talking to Doc. “At this rate no one’s going to need my pies or Scar’s cookies, we’ll all be too full of cake!”
“Tell me about it. I found three shulkers full of cake near where I’ve been doing my redstone.”
“Three shulkers! You’re lucky, my dude.”
Doc shook his head. “I’m more curious about who’s been giving out all this cake. It’s not exactly the cheapest food source…”
Their voices drifted off as you continued your stroll.
“I’m going to catch the Cake Bandit in the act!”
Grian was happily explaining his grand plan to you, though you were caught off-guard by his name for the mysterious gift-giver.
“Cake Bandit? That makes it sound like they steal cakes, not deliver them!” You laughed, shaking your head.
“Well, they sneak in here in the middle of the night, like a bandit. And Cake Deliverer doesn’t have the same ring to it.” Grian’s face was serious. “Cake Bandit is a much better name.” His expression flipped to a wide grin faster than you could blink. “And I’m going to catch them when they come tonight! That’s why I’ve come to you- would you like to help me set up the trap?”
Gem held a clipboard, a pair of glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. She wore a white lab coat- perhaps Cub had lent it to her?
“Now, would you consider yourself to be a tricky person?”
You shrugged. “Not really. I mean, I know how to sneak around, but I wouldn’t use that ability to trick people.”
She tapped the clipboard with her pencil. “I see. And you’re sure you don’t have any information on this infamous Cake Bandit, as they’ve been named?”
“No, I don’t.” You shook your head. “Maybe Scar would have some idea? He has the cookie factory, maybe he or Ren branched out to another sweet treat.”
Gem lit up. “That’s a great idea! Ahem. I mean, thank you for your information. It will be taken into consideration for this study.”
Xisuma sighed. “No, Grian. I don’t know who the Cake Bandit is. And even if I did, they obviously want it to remain a secret.”
Doc nodded. “It has been a month. If they wanted us to know who they were, we’d know by now.”
You fidgeted slightly. The Cake Bandit had come up at all of the recent Hermit meetings.
Xisuma stood from his seat at the table. “I would like to say, whoever it is, you are all too kind. I’m sure everyone here feels the same.”
There were nods and noises of agreement all around. Ren called out “Hear hear!” to a smattering of laughter.
You could feel your face grow a bit warmer. Even if they didn’t know who you were, it felt nice to be appreciated.
You finished packing the last chest.
A few redstone components, some coal blocks, arranged in a mustache, and some potatoes, of course.
Closing the lid, you grinned. The click of the latch shutting was your signal, and you quickly lit a firework, taking off into the night sky. The Cake Bandit had struck again.

Hey y'all! I'm back on my writing train!
It's probably gonna be a bit slow as I get back used to writing (and also with school and the absolute mess of distractions I get myself into), but I'm back!

Does your gender ever feel like a person/character? It’s happened to me multiple times so I was wondering if any other gender fluid people or anyone else in general felt this way. -🌖anon
Yeah, actually! I go by different names in different circles, and I basically have different personas that I've begun to associate with those names. It also tends to correspond with my gender.
Alistair's pretty calm, usually somewhere on the demiboy spectrum, whereas Frog's much more non-binary and a bit more playful and fun. Ari is Alistair's counterpart, more demigirl, and pretty confident. I've got a few more names that go with different characters in my head too, but those are the names that I use on this blog.
I'm pretty sure I'm not a system, but I do occasionally use us or we when referring to myself as an individual because of this.

Writer's block is kicking my butt right now, so it might be a while before my next post. Just thought y'all might want to know. There'll be something eventually! Once I get the inspiration to actually write.
