fischl: made up an entire story just so i could skip spanish

venti: asked where my glasses were with them on my face

xiao: had a panic attack over potatoes at 9 pm

zhongli: unintentionally started an argument about hand sanitizer in a 17 person group chat

kazuha: play a completely different song in a band when we were practicing another song and no one noticed

xingqiu: typing a fanfic in school and when asked about it, said: "essay" in a flat voice

chongyun: claimed i could drink spicy soup then proceeded to faint when i took the first sip

kazuha: cried with my neighbor when our parents cut down a tree in the middle of our properties like it was our dying friend

hu tao: unintentionally started a school wide inside joke with my best friend

bennett: almost died one summer, then when asked if something interesting happened over break i shrugged and said "nah, played video games"

xiao: after a fight with my family or friends i would sing to olivia rodrigo in the shower sadly

kaeya: every time a sad song came on, i would pretend i was in a music video where i lost my lover

My red flags/ orange flagsfor PJO fans. Guess which is which

1) ignores the racism inside the older books and holds Rick riordian in the highest esteem (like I love Rick too but. Ehhh we have to remember that he did have his rlly iffy moments)

2) has/does ship Percy and Nico. That is a predatory relationship my good sir

3) infantilization of any of the fully grown gay characters (especially nico and Will, dear gods it’s rampant with those two )

4) refuses to believe that Percy has done shitty things, let’s be real here

5) thinks the Cupid scene was a good coming out scene

6) try’s to call Ethan Nakamura a bad person. Like no

7) refuses to allow Will to have his own complex backstory and trauma with his own personality outside of Nico , and then reduce him down to the “ uWu ☀️ sunshine and rainbows bisexual himbo jock who doesn’t know jackshit about anything” like I hate it in general when people do that with any gay couple because it’s never written IN CHARACTER for any couple. That’s never how Will has been in canon. Istg the moment the straight fans (and I say this because it’s mostly straight ppl who have done this) got ahold of heartstopper (or whatever it’s called) they’ve been comparing every gay couple they find to Nick Nelson

8) calls the solangelo book “the Nico book”. Like hopefully there will be a second book focusing on Will( I’ve got a bunch of theories in that subject and if you want me to infodump on you about it in the replies I’m more than happy to), but…. Cmon man

9) got upset at the Annabeth casting. You don’t even need to guess, immediate block if you got mad abt that

10) tries to say that Apollo was the best father out of all the gods. Like he didn’t neglect his children for most of their lives and then only come to them when it was convenient for him. On top of that he never even talked about Halcyon green, his own SON which HE essentially KILLED which then led to the start of the fucking titan war. And then also left Will to fend for himself at 12 and raise all of his siblings by his lonesome ( just like Bianca fr). I really really hope Will ends up hating his dad in the next book

Bonus headcannon or theory for all the ones who aren’t red or orange flags and agreed with me: If you remember trials of Apollo then you should remember Apollo describing his son lie, “my son, my beautiful son who got all of my best traits and somehow none of my worst” right? I hope that Will has his inner monologue about his dad which counters it and basically is like “ my father, my disgusting and neglectful father. Somehow I’ve strived my whole life to be his hand man, to get his approval and his love, I wanted- no- for the sake of my family I needed to be him. And a part of me was scared of that. I’ll never be him. I’ll never be who he so desperately wanted me to be”
