If we can assume a vampire to be successfully Roman Catholic, it would depend on if the need to feast on blood is literal or metaphorical/metaphysical. If the blood is a representation of some greater context, yes, because God shall provide. If it is a dietary restriction, no, because transubstantiation is only literally the blood of Jesus due to the presence of the Holy Spirit within the host, and a vampire's digestive tract struggles to metabolize dogma.

PSA about the Twihards on Tumblr community

I started the Twihards of Tumblr community on a whim about a year ago. For a long while, I did my best to act as admin, but over time, I got very busy with my PhD program and simply couldn't keep up with everything. I asked for help with moderation, and added several people as admin, including the blog now called @/jasperhalelover69 (formerly @/marriedtojasperhale). I was honestly desperate for help with moderation due to porn bots posting literal porn in the community feed, so I didn't do a good enough job vetting the people who volunteered. I now see the error of my ways, and I am genuinely sorry to the community for letting you down.

A few days ago, I was directed to a post detailing very serious allegations against @/jasperlover69, including allegations of predatory behavior towards minors. There were a lot of screenshots included, many of which did contain disturbing messages. Now, I have no way to prove or disprove this person's alleged behavior; nonetheless, I was uncomfortable with him being on the admin team, so I tried to draw attention to the issue and encourage people to ban him. Within hours, he had removed my posts. I restored them, and he removed them again. We went back and forth like this several times before I gave up and just made a report to tumblr help desk.

(This was really my only option, as Tumblr does not allow users to be removed from a community once they are made admin. They can only leave voluntarily. I did not realize this at the time of promoting this person. I would not have made anyone admin had I realized this was the case, not without trialing them as mods first at the very least.)

I have been waiting to hear back from tumblr staff, but unfortunately, @/jasperlover69 started spamming the community, and tbh, I just have had enough of this shit, so I made the community private and changed as much about it as I could to basically just being a blank canvas. I've no doubt he will change everything back--but he cannot make the community public again, at least not in this current state of tumblr's code. So for now, no one can join the community without an invite link and people not in the community are unable to see the posts there. Hopefully Tumblr responds to me and deletes the community. Also, hopefully they make communities able to be moderated adequately. (The fact you can't remove admin is absolutely WILD like...)

That's the current state of things. I want to say thank you to @chipm4b, @denalilily, and @fuckmeyer for helping me deal with this shit. Also thank you to the other mods I haven't spoken to recently but who are all cool people.

Finally--thank you to everyone who was in the community. Whether you posted a lot or just lurked, your presence was meaningful. It was very fun while it lasted, and I hope someday I will cross paths with you again. All of you except @/jasperlover69, who honestly, I hope I never have to interact with literally ever again.
