Time, Stand Still, a DNAngel fic

Was this a memory or a thought fabricated by Kosuke's mind? The sight of beloved traits relaxed by sleep, the nestled frame against him, both threatening to blur with passing time… Still, he returned to it often as a light in the dark, for comfort, for what it meant to him – and perhaps to the other.

In honour of @fugitivehues' flagged #KissArtFebruary piece, in hope it can cast light on a piece that is unfairly hidden from unsuspecting dashes.

Hey! I just wanted to say I've been looking through your gallery and your watercolours are gorgeous!!! Your colours alone conveying everything from softness to angst to nostalgia to isolation. The ATMOSPHERE, agghhh I just dfghkfdhgkjfd it's all really nice!!! Your digital work too captures that painterly feel so well. I also really love the expressiveness of hands in your work-- if that doesn't sound too weird lol-- just-- hang on i need to split this ask

--the tenderness of a gentle touch, the violence and pain behind a tight grip, the differences in gesture of if someone is holding something, holding close to themself, or reaching out to another. You don't shy away from hands or dramatic compositions and perspective at all and I am loving every aspect of your work. You do amazing stuff!! Just needed you to know that!

I think a lot about colors and lighting and what will affect the mood of each piece, so it's wonderful to hear that they're showing through! And lol not weird at all about hands! I read several years ago something like "hands are the second most powerful guide for viewer's attention in a composition (after eyes)" and I took that to heart hardcore lol. Contrast and all those other elements are important too of course, but since I do mostly character art, well, the hands are there no matter what…~ It can take me a lot of attempts to get them looking okay so I'm happy you say they've made such a difference! Thank you again really!! <3
