something just occurred to me about the 5-season structure of Leverage.

at the end of each season, one member of the team betrays the rest of the crew; or appears to, from the audience’s perspective, even if it turns out all right; or actually does betray the crew’s trust, but for “good” reasons. 

In season 5, Hardison lies to the rest of the crew for the better part of a year about why they came to Portland, because Nate asks him to.

In season 4, Nate goes against the crew’s wishes and sets himself up to be able to kill his enemies. (And although he doesn’t pull the trigger, I’ve always thought it fair to say that he killed them just the same.)

In season 3, Eliot reveals that he used to work for Damien Moreau and has been keeping his past a secret from them for three years.

In season 2, Tara goes behind the crew’s back to set up a meeting with the baddie (which turns out to be a meeting for Sophie, so she can save them). 

And in season 1, Sophie lies to the crew about why she wants to steal the David and tries to manipulate them.

…which means… there’s only one member of the team who never lied, stepped over the line, withheld information, went behind the crew’s back, or manipulated anyone. 

It’s Parker. Parker is the most honest, true, and loyal member of team Leverage.

*hits the blunt* yugioh was propaganda because the season they opened the anime with in the US started by making you pity yugi for losing his exodia cards in like, the second episode i think it was. basically this fuck has a huge unfair advantage over everyone else in the world and is planning to use it to win a cash tournament. but you’re supposed to feel bad for him when he loses that advantage and ends up on an even playing field because the cards are “his property”. exodia is capital and yugi moto is the bourgeoisie

one of my favorite tidbits about speedrunning that comes up every time the games done quick marathons come around is how Wind Waker speedruns are about five hours long because of the giant wall in Hyrule that actually forces the runner to play the game because they’ve been throwing shit at this wall for over a decade and still can’t figure out a way past it. the wall in hyrule is entirely unglitchable and the only way past it is to play the game properly. the speedrun would be like one hour if they could get past this wall but nope, it’s five hours. fuck the wall.
