UMEKO LORE‼️‼️‼️

Finally making a post abt this 🙏🏻

Umeko is a hybrid, between two very unlikely species, a panther, and a rabbit. With this odd pairing and her peculiar appearance, she was homeschooled for part of her school years, going to public school midway through (American) middle school. (I only say American since ik Japan operates differently but I don’t feel like trying to learn when she’d be in public school, so let’s just say like 12)

When she was homeschooled, she lived relatively normal, except for the occasional outbursts from her mother, who was a carnivore who had devoured at one point, therefore suffers with meat poisoning, causing her to have outbursts of aggression and a urge to consume meat. During these outbursts, her and her father usually go to her grandmother’s house for a few days-weeks. This has caused a bit of a strain on her and her mother’s relationship.

They had to move her to public school due to her mother eventually attempting to devour her father, and was turned in by her grandmother for devouring and putting herbivores at risk, which meant her father was the only one providing for the family and couldn’t keep up with Umeko’s lessons. He wasn’t seriously damaged, however he does have a large scar over the left side of his face.

In public school, Umeko faced a lot of bullying due to her being a visible hybrid. At first it made her upset, but she soon stopped caring about what others had to say once she reached highschool, where she met one of her now close friends, Legoshi. She views him as a younger brother and is a little protective over him. Some mistake it as her having a crush on him, especially due to her not liking Haru, but she genuinely has had no romantic feelings for him at all throughout the entirety of their friendship.

Her mindset when befriending him was that losers should stick together, more so a joke mindset tho

Out of highschool, when Legoshi was getting into more sketchy scenes with the black market, she decided to follow him one night. While she was following him though, she was attacked by a grey wolf, similar to Legoshi.

Upon being defended by Legoshi, she accidentally bit him while trying to defend herself against the attacker, since they were both wolves she got the two mixed up - since I can, I’m saying that due to her unnaturally sharp teeth, he has a small scar on his forearm from her biting him. She felt extremely bad for doing it - her guilt didn’t stop her from somewhat lecturing him on getting into these sketchy scenes though.
