katsuki bakugo is NOT a nonchalant boyfriend. if you even sigh weirdly he’s all over you trying to pry whatever’s wrong out of you. he loves with the same intensity he fights with, and it shows in everything he does. when people look at you for too long in public, his hand practically slaps to your waist and pulls you into him. “quit starin!” he’ll bark. he hates when people ogle you like you’re some damn mystical creature they have to have. when you’re alone, he makes it well known he likes you messing with his hair. it’s relaxing and he won’t hesitate to make you do it. katsuki will lay his head on your chest and mumble, “play with my hair. now.” in a pouty voice. only the godd above know he’d never let his classmates see him like that. this side of him is reserved strictly for you.

boyfriend!tenya iida headcanons!

he will either make you clean your room, help you clean your room, or he'll just straight up clean your room for you. i'm talking he'll sort your books, fold your clothes, and color code your closet. the full works.

the first time he slept over he asked you when you were gonna make your bed and was flabbergasted to learn that you don't make your bed every morning. he then proceeded to make the bed himself so he could feel sane.

for the first month he couldn't kiss you without asking you first. you had to explicitly tell him multiple times that it was okay for him to not ask every single time.

likes holding your hand but if you guys are walking in more busy places he loves interlocking arms to make sure you don't accidentally get lost. plus, he loves that you can lean your head against him.

he gets stressed out if there's a lack of communication.

he has a google doc somewhere of everything you like, dislike, your allergies, your family tree (including how you feel and your relationship with your family members), just so he can keep track. he has it memorized.

he also adds in things you mention you want so he can look at it later for present ideas.

helicopter bf. won't let you go to bed without brushing your teeth. won't let you start cooking until you've washed your hands. he's just very concerned about your health and safety, more than his own.

he refuses to kiss you if he just ate something you're even just mildly allergic to.

once you stole his glasses (or you both swapped glasses if you were them) and he thought you in his glasses was the cutest thing.

he'll sit you down and help you study if he notices your grades drop. oh yeah, he keeps track of your grades too.

if it's not obvious, his love language is acts of service.

he also likes cuddling. prefers to be the big spoon.

he definitely felt weird the first time you spent the night together bc it felt illegal and wrong for him to be so close to you while you were in such a vulnerable state.

he wakes up ridiculously early and has a very structured schedule, but he doesn't wake you up with him because the last time he tried you were so cranky and he felt bad.

he makes a shared google calendar for you guys to have your class and work schedules and he schedules dates with you through that google calendar. and he words it like he's scheduling a meeting. "i see both of us are free tuesday. oh but you have a math test the next morning. i can help you study!"

he doesn't swear and he especially does not swear in front of you no matter the context. he doesn't mind as much if you swear as long as it's an appropriate place.

he's actually so nervous when you first start dating it's unreal

but he's still really sweet

early on he will 100% be like "this random thing i saw at the store reminded me of you" or "i noticed you like this activity, so i learned to do it"

he's just a very thoughtful and attentive gift giver and date planner.

he LOVES physical touch so much!! he especially likes holding your hand and giving hugs all the time!

will get giddy when he remembers he's dating you

LOVES giving and receiving COMPLIMENTS!! definitely short circuits if you call him "handsome" or "pretty"

i feel like he'd want something matching. like pajamas, phone cases, socks, etc. just something small and silly to match with his partner!

honestly, he might even get matching earrings.

calls you "babe" exclusively. but will also call you "dude" and "bro" out of habit.

adding to the last one, he gets fake pouty if you call him "bro". he doesn't ACTUALLY care, but he just wants to be a little dramatic.

he likes laying on your chest when you cuddle sometimes. he also prefers being little spoon but has no problem being big spoon.

loves it when you help him with homework bc he gets to admire your intelligence

you will NOT catch this man turning down a makeout session no matter the circumstances (i mean unless it's literally a life or death scenario)

you guys will definitely have that one animated (kid) show that you guys watch together when you hang out while you play video games (minecraft???) together.

he will never ask you to watch a horror movie with him bc he knows he'll be the one crying and not able to sleep after.

loves when you send voice messages! he'll send them randomly just to get to hear you send them back.

has a playlist of all the songs he's caught you singing along to, or that you've mentioned you've liked, or that you've posted on your instagram and he plays it when he's on aux around you.

he would also propose the idea of having a shared spotify playlist and would only add songs he's already knew you liked.

after every phone call with you he audibly giggles bc he's so happy he just got to talk to you. it doesn't matter where he is or who he's with.

he tells all of the bakusquad about you!! it's a running joke that he just doesn't shut up about his partner.

Pro hero! cellophane who gets you a little treat every day after work. Depending on where he patrols or what type of work he does the snacks vary. Your favorite croissant, the best kappa maki in the whole city or lemon sorbet that makes your mouth water. You never know what to expect when Sero comes home. In the beginning of you and Katsuki’s relationship he was not a big fan of you touching him. He would always push your hand away and say something on the lines of ‘don’t touch me’ or ‘you’re so touchy.’

You didn’t take it too much to heart knowing who he was and how he had his own love language (txt reference heh.) so it came as somewhat of a surprise when that changed.

you didn’t know why or when but eventually he all together stopped, he didn’t push your hand away anymore or complained about your affections.

if anything he would lean into your touch more, going as far as to sulk when you would stop petting his hair.

“Baby why’d ya stop?” He frowned nuzzling into the hand you were previously petting him with, trying to get you to continue scratching his head.

You looked down at him with a raised eyebrow, all you were going to do was flip to the next page of your book?

“I thought you didn’t like when I touched you?” You closed your book, leaving your finger in place of a bookmark as you looked down towards your lap where his bundle of blonde hair lay a bit ruffled.

“what?” His frown deepened into a pout at your assumption. “why would you think that?” He reached for your hand putting it back in his fluffed up hair still awaiting your answer.

“You would always push my hand away whenever I touched you?” You looked at him puzzled at the switch up, would he stay like this or go back to pushing your hand away in an hour?

“Well I was a dumbass keep doing it.” He replied plainly, rolling to his side to hug your waist. Humming in satisfaction as you continued to rummage in his hair per his request.

And honestly you thought this was just a momentary thing but from then on he never said anything about you touching him.

Only complaint he would voice involved how you weren’t touching him enough.

“baby pet me” or “scratch my head” hell even “you haven’t touched me in a while.” But don’t call him needy he’ll overreact lol.

boyfriend!katsuki bakugo headcanons

these are just some general headcanons i have about this guy in no particular order

he definitely notices the tiniest details... like if you mention once that you have an allergy, he'll avoid it like the plague. he knows your coffee preference, without you even telling him. but you won't catch him admitting it unless you bring it up.

"The hell? You think I don't know how you like your coffee? You think I hate you or somethin'. Shut up and drink it.."

He would not go easy on you in hero training. He thinks you deserve to be fought at both of yalls full potential. He would still be careful not to injure you too badly (maybe calculating his movements with a little more care), but he would not tone down his fighting style at all.

He enjoys being babied. When you hand him something he was about to grab himself, when you ask him if he's alright after a training match and ask him to go easy on himself because of his injuries, he might not listen to you but he still adores that you care.

He loves watching you interact with children. Maybe you're babysitting your niece while katsuki's there and he just watching you play with her. They way you speak gently, ask her if she wants to color. Then you ask Katsuki if he wants to color with you two... he's already gone...

You're the only one allowed to touch his hair.

Definitely doesn't like showing much affection in front of classmates at first but sometimes he does, and if his classmates clown him for holding the door open for you, or for going to visit you in the infirmary, he WILL be clapping back and standing on business.

"What you've never seen a guy care about his partner before? Mind your damn business you lonely freaks!"

Since Katsuki wants to be the absolute best at everything, you think he'd want to fail at being a partner? HELL NO. This guy is in competition with literally no one, yet everyone, to be the greatest boyfriend ever.

He might get used to being the protective one, but one time Monoma might be talking shit about Katsuki and he sees you chew Monoma out and it makes him feel really appreciated and loved.

He wakes up RIDICULOUSLY early, probably goes out for a run or does a workout while you're still sleeping. He would not DARE wake you up.... He would leave so quietly and slip right back into bed after that you wouldn't even realize he's gone.

This is probably obvious but he definitely walks on the side of the sidewalk closest to the street. He also makes you hold his hand and look both ways before crossing the street. He will (and probably has) yanked you out of the street because you almost got hit by a moving car.

He loves cooking for you. Will not let you touch ANYTHING while he's cooking bc "you're gonna ruin it" when actually he just wants to do something nice for you. He will also probably ask for your families recipes and make you stuff that you really liked growing up.
