Big fan of converting data from one form to another

1950’s Georgian Record USSR Era Bone Vinyl

A short history on bone vinyl for those unaware: in the 50’s most music, especially western music, was banned in Russia. People of the street markets soon discovered many old X-Rays being discarded, and afterwards learned you could lathe cut records onto them.

The by-product would be an extremely flimsy one-sided 78 record, and the center label hole would usually be created by the cherry of a smoking cigarette. There are documentaries available online, and a lot of fakes for sale as well. Today we digitize one that has been in our collection for over a year now, and was sent to us from Dusheti, Georgia. For those curious, I included just how far this brittle record travelled, to arrive intact in Chattanooga, TN.

‘Retromanstore2019” is a reputable source for an authentic bone vinyl if you ever find yourself on the market. Ours arrived in a postage decorated with gorgeous stamps, wish we had not ripped through them in haste to see the record inside. Included are some photos of the stamps and a link of the song below, enjoy an old Georgian Folk song from the mid 1900’s.

So Capcom are gaining a rather poor reputation for censoring their games in recent years. Which is a very concerning trend, as it suggests they don't understand politics and they are actually taking a very dark path by doing this.

One move that many people expected to be edited in Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was Demitri Midnight Bliss where the opponent appearance is changed during the move. Well the collection has now released and the move hasn't been edited in anyway apart from one removal for legal copyright reasons. Which I'm not sure was in the western home ports originally. Capcom haven't reported this very well and many assumed the move was heavily edited.

Above is a sprite sheet of all the changes taken from the website www.fightersgeneration.com which is a great site for fighting fans. Now the above sprite sheet is in alphabetical character order starting top left, some characters have two changes and the rare one is to the right of the common change where that applies.

On the bottom row to the far left we have both of Rose's change one where she has a Venice gondolier appearance which is in the game. The next one along that is an old women with a staff is actually a cameo from the Manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and is the character Enya the Hag. With Bandai Namco now making JoJo games, she had to be removed, but all the others remain intact.
