'White male failure' is given a double standard when the failure is an undying racist.

I've shared a few pretty straightforward images using my CRT effect, but not much yet that really shows off what an over-engineered monstrosity I've created.

For a start, it's actually 3D. I built most of this in Blender.

Except for the optional bit that simulates composite video artifacts. I wrote that part in shader code and apply it to the base image as a separate step.

I made a high-res shadow mask texture, so it looks pretty good even from absurdly close up.

I can also adjust the scanline hardness and swap the slot mask for a dot mask or aperture grille to simulate different types of display.

Raytracing the whole thing ensures that all of these little details look nice and get sampled correctly, and if I want to change the glare reflecting off of the screen...

...I can adjust it by rearranging the furniture in the room.

So... yeah. That's what is current going on whenever I post pixel art with my CRT effect. It's not quite perfect yet, but I think it's getting pretty good.

He wants revenge on Black people for the 2020 Floyd protests, revenge for the Civil Rights Act — which is what enabled the government to sue him for discrimination in the 70s twice — revenge on Immigrants and revenge on Native Americans for getting in the way of God Given Manifest Destiny. Every day, it’s become more and more clear. Clear enough that even some MAGAs have noticed, but will it become obvious enough in time for the courts and Congress to stop him before it’s too late? This isn’t bringing down the price of eggs, or the price of gas, this isn’t helping people buy groceries, this isn’t helping people pay the rent, this isn’t helping anyone with their electric bill. It’s just vengeance. Pure vengeance. The question is, have enough of the MAGA faithful noticed this mendacity for them to be willing to help make a change? Perhaps. There are many MAGAs who now regret their vote for Trump and are starting to realize that it was a massive mistake. The Leopards are in face-eating mode.

I'm seeing a lot of people trying to put an age on Tenna as an item and I just want to mention a few things about the history of TV that might help, because I'm seeing people claim he's MUCH older then he would be.

Tenna is a 90s CRT, guys.

First off- he's obviously built after the TV remote became common. While remotes go as far back as the 50s, they were largely considered a luxury until the rise of cable in the 80s.

How do I know this?

He lacks side dials.

Before remote controls became common and built into TVs, the only way you could change the channel on a TV was turning a physical dial so the TV could receive a different broadcast signal. (That's where the term don't touch that dial comes from, incidentally.) And I remember TVs like this. My grandparents television growing up had a channel dial.

It's also worth noting that that side panel took a very long time to go away and even into the '80s there were models of TV being made with it.

But now, look at Tenna's light world sprite side by side with a TV from 1990:

That's him! That's the boy!

Now I'm not saying he wouldn't have adjustment dials, but after the advent of the remote they got shrunk down and they were usually hidden under a panel of some sort. Or they were converted into buttons. I very clearly remember the TV in the living room when I was a child having all of the buttons hidden behind a latch so that the front looked nice and clean.

And his external antenna doesn't mean he's older than cable, either. For example - I remember it being a big deal about the move from analog to digital broadcasts in 2009 because so many people still used antennas.

But also- SO much of Chapter 3 is an homage to 90's cable television in general. Primetime game shows and channels that play nothing but music videos or play nothing but old movies and westerns. There's even nods to 90s Nickelodeon's love of sliming people! (Why else would he specify that he's not gloopy while we're shown green slime in his intro?)

I'm just saying that the physical item that Tenna is in the light world is a lot younger than some people seem to think.
