do you think jesus cried out for his dad when he died? not the Father, but his dad, the man who raised him, Joseph of Nazareth. Do you think that's why he's the saint of a peaceful passage to death- to provide for others what he couldn't for his son? Don't you think God let him take the role to save everyone he could for the time he couldn't save who he wanted to?

A while ago I read this poem by Alejandra Pizarnik, at the recommendation of one of my mutuals. The whole poem is really good, but these lines especially resonated with me, and so of course I made Jason angst.

in regards to @salamancialilypad's tags. the 'heaven thing' is what i was going for! i was referencing images of the depiction of Jesus' baptism for this drawing. Baptism represents being born anew and I'm rather weak for christian imagery in my fancy pieces.
