This is my AU called Somniphobia! It is still in progress but to summarize it, it is an AU that instead of Adam turning into a beast he falls into a dream along with the people of the castle, their bodies are still there sleeping but their consciousness is now in their dreams, Adam here emotions can become strong in dreams so that despite at some point being in a beautiful moment it can turn into a nightmare where the people who are dreaming go crazy (each person in the castle has a dreamer version and a nightmare version, the dreamer version shows what can be comfortable and beautiful, even fun, but that does not remove the cracks that in reality behind that there is desperation and fear of wanting to get out of that prison of sleep).

The things this AU contains would be the psychology of dreams, freedom, and how dreams can sometimes break reality (in fact, that happens at one point in the story).

It has elements of dreams and stars (too much stars! ✨️⭐️🌟💫🐑🐏)

-Belle here is a shepherd who helps her father with the flock, she is a girl who is too dreamy (literally and symbolically) being that sometimes she daydreams and misses some things (although there is not much to miss in her town).

-Adam here is a being that can manifest himself in dreams. His physical body is in his room asleep (like Sleeping Beauty), full of roses because of the neglected castle, his face is not shown, instead there is a mirror that only shows what is in front of him, making him forget what he looked like before, his shape also varies in what he feels, showing that in his dream version and nightmare version. The dream version looks more like a cloud or a fluffy being, his environment becomes calmer and softer in contrast to the nightmare version. That version is sharper and becomes more terrifying if not handled well, even deforming

-Gaston is still a hunter here, not much changes here but we could say that he is somewhat wilder, no matter that he hunts him equally (sometimes he even wants to hunt Belle's family's sheep), together with Lefou they go looking for increasingly strange things to show his instinct against dangers and that he can handle everything he finds (this would carry his subplot)

What I want to do with this AU is also look at the psychology of dreams (I really like the subject of dreams... as well as sleeping, lol), also with the theme of stars, nightmares and sometimes the abstract.

Each character will have their own theme in their clothing, appearance, and environment, so each dream will vary greatly.

Ophelia would be a florist and would accidentally become a faceless piece of folklore. The plants and gardens of Villenueve are Thriving.

Renuncule would be a barmaid at the tavern because that woman will never know piece. Her life goal is to milk gaston for everything he's worth (or at least everything she can get out of him) because if he isn't the catalyst for a mess she has to clean up his presence only proves to make them worse. It's the least he can do.
