Finding the invisible in movie posters
Lately I've been geeking out on geometry in design.
A thing called 'dynamic symmetry' excited me quite a bit, so I tried it on a bunch of movie posters and wrote this article with a bunch of examples.

The road to a finished movie poster is often long and winding—it can take weeks, months or more (!) to reach the destination. Client choosing the right concept feels like half the job is done, but in many ways, it’s only a new beginning… I’ll stop before getting too philosophical :)
These four examples of my past projects show selected concepts vs. final designs, side by side.

About last night—my first watch of Suspiria (1977) at the Pula Film Festival. I can’t imagine a better place for this than the Roman amphitheatre.
