A Thought

I’m toying with the idea of turning the backgrounds into cinematographic gifs...Since the game is a basic vn with a simple UI setup and no minigames it might be nice to have the backgrounds be visually engaging...

Of course, the bells and whistles would be added after the meat of the game- I don’t want to get burnt out and not finish when I’m so close to completing.

The gameplay is basic with a simple UI design.

I’m going to stick with Tyranobuilder for the Demo and move to another development platform later (probably Renpy as Tyrano is super limited and very glitchy to work with...)

 The idea is to focus more on the story and interactive gameplay by adding more choices and having those choices significantly affect the demo’s end.

GENESIS

A SCI-FI ROMANCE

Genesis is a free sci-fi romance visual novel (currently in production) that features alien romance for adults.

I WANT to make this a fancy debut post, BUT...I am the only developer, artist, and writer...So I’m gonna level with all of you...

I’ve been waiting for a good monster romance visual novel for a while, and since there are so few to choose from I’ve taken it upon myself to develop my own.

This game will be completely free- and after GENESIS is finished the assets I’ve created will be released for public use to help other indie game creators.

As of this moment, the Demo is about 75% finished. I will be using either tyranobuilder or renpy and *some* free/paid assets which will be fully credited, but all my characters are from scratch... so there is that.

Currently, there are two alien romance options, and as I don’t have the coding skills to allow the player to choose the mc’s gender (yet) the starting mc will be fem for the Demo.

All character sprites, backgrounds, and the ungodly long demo script is finished, all that’s left is the initial cg’s (which im working on now) and about half the programming...Which is a big pain my @ss...

The full game will basically read like a smut fanfiction with pictures and I’m not sorry..

If the Demo is well received the goal is to add more love interests and diverse characters (and figure out how to make the MC’s looks and gender customizable without writing a million completely different scripts...
