#create: go on a quest for inspiration
Just like your physical body needs food as source of energy, your creative body also needs food for creative thoughts.
Unless you are a professional artist, you probably feel you never have enough time to nurture your creativity because of the mundane tasks and everyday thoughts that occupy your mind and cause noise and confusion you cannot find a way to escape from. When the time comes to do some creative work and to think of new ideas, you discover that the monotony of everyday life has reduced your thinking to stale, old ideas. In other words, creativity has left you.
Creativity is a fragile plant. It needs to be watered regularly.
To prevent your creativity from slowly dying out you can go on frequent quests for inspiration. Find some time in your busy schedule to go on a creative trip. It can be half an hour each day, or one hour every two or three days, or if you can afford a whole day, you can go on regular Saturday quests for inspiration. Turn off your mobile phone, find a baby sitter, tell your partner you need some important work to do... pack your knapsack with pencils, sketchbook or notebook, digital camera and any other paraphernalia that might come in handy in recording your ideas, and do not forget your favourite chocolate bar!
Set out on a trip to a place that is rich in inspiration for the particular artist in you. If you are inspired by visual experiences, spend some time in a museum. If you like multisensory experiences, visit a concert. If you are provoked by words and ideas, go to a library and search for interesting books. If you are emotionally touched by natural forms and spirituality, go on regular walks in nature. If, on the other hand, you are impressed by people and their behaviour, find a bench near a busy bus terminal, sit there and observe. If you like to discover human emotions, go to a theatre. If you are fascinated by power and beauty, visit a horse race... You can look for inspiration virtually everywhere: on children playgrounds, in the local pub, gallery, beach... in any place where you can feel emotional connection with that higher force called inspiration.
Make these small quests for inspiration your regular habit, or even a ritual. If you are constant in this, in time you will realize that you have found a source of infinite inspiration - and that it is in YOU!
CREATIVE TASK
Book NOW in your daily schedule a couple of hours during next five days when you will do some of these things: visit a bookstore, feed ducks in the park, visit a toy shop, take a walk by the river, climb the highest spot in your town, visit your favourite place while you were a child... or any other activity that you normally do not have time to engage in. Have a good time... and send me your feedback, please.

#create: you need not be perfect to be able to create a perfect life
We live here and now. All we have is this moment - past has already gone and future is yet to come. Future is a great unknown, so why bother worrying about it.
The way to lay solid foundations for a fruitful future is to live now and try to make the best of the moment you have now.
The secret of making every moment worth living is to always strive for Excellence.
Excellence = doing your best, NOW!
Strive to be excellent in any given moment. You need not be the best, but you should try your best - in every situation. Put honest effort in what you are doing and although the result will not always be most satisfying, in your heart you will be at peace knowing that you tried your best considering your skills, knowledge and circumstances. Nobody is perfect, why should you be - but with hard work you will every day get one step closer to becoming the best version of you.
During your search for excellence you will discover many areas where you need to improve. Do not be scared, disappointed or angry with yourself, but instead be grateful for your insights. When you are aware of a problem, you are half way to reaching the solution.
If you live your life searching for excellence, people will recognize and appreciate your efforts. This is how you earn people’s respect and trust.
Try to be excellent partner, parent, friend, child or brother... This is how you earn love and devotion.
Yes, it is hard and, guess what – you will never reach perfection - but at least you will know that you have done your best to create a better life for yourself and those around you.
THINKING EXERCISE THAT WILL CHANGE HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF
Imagine that you are entering a room full of people. There is your family, your friends, colleagues, your neighbours, your ex-boyfriends/girlfriends. As you are walking towards the other end of the room, you realize that they are all attending your funeral.
Think what would you like each one of them to say about your life and your personality when saying good-bye to you.
(This exercise is taken over from the book The E-Myth by Michael E. Gerber)

#think: put you brain to bed
Sleeping is healing. Do you sleep enough at night?
If your answer is less than seven hours, you are putting your brain and your general health into serious danger.

Latest sleep research suggests that the shortest time needed for brain and body to recover from daily stress is seven hours, preferably eight. People who sleep five hours and less will sooner or later develop a serious health problem - guaranteed!
During sleep brain sends messages to body to produce all kinds of enzymes and hormones which serve to repair damaged cells, stop inflammation processes and bring body functions into right balance. Sleep also serves to calm down strong emotions and erase unnecessary information from the brain so to avoid data overload. Lack of sleep leads to increased aggression, suicidal thoughts and addiction disorders and is also connected to various mental illnesses.
During sleep, heart rate decreases and blood pressure stabilizes reducing the risk of heart attack or stroke. People in their 40s who sleep less than six hours a day are two times more likely to have a serious cardiovascular disease in their lifetime.
Sleep deprived cells in the brain are less responsive to insulin which puts a person in the risk of entering a prediabetic state. Lack of sleep can cause irregular production of hunger regulating hormones which can deceive body to feel stronger need for food.
During the last one hundred years there have been more and more people suffering from cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Sleep research suggests that during a short sleep our cancer-fighting cells do not have enough time to do their work properly, so the risk of having a cancer decreases. Furthermore, brain cannot disintegrate all the toxic proteins that are generated there during the day so in time they accumulate and eventually start to kill healthy brain cells. As far as hundred years ago most people did not have electricity to keep them awake until late in the night. They did not have cable TV, night clubs or Internet to keep them entertained long past midnight. They did not have to work night shifts, or stay awake throughout the night to finish their daily tasks, in peace, after the children have gone to bed. They did not have to sacrifice their sleep to be able to manage their everyday life.
It is essential for your health that you try to develop a steady circadian rhythm by going to sleep in the evening and waking up in the morning at around same time, every day. Regular, uninterrupted eight hour sleep will allow your body to stay in balance and it will help you build strong immune system that will keep you fresh and healthy regardless of your age.
