Why 五乙 called 502?

In Japan, there are many ways to read numbers, and there is a culture to play by making words by combining the sounds.

In addition, there is an expression called ''Romaji'' in Japan. This is Japanese words and sentences written in alphabet letters. The first three are written in Roman letters.

5 go　9 ku　6 roku　3 san 3 san　9 kyu 7 nana　2 tsu- (The pronunciation of tsu comes from the English word two.)

This is called a ''goroawase''. Using a play on words, some people read Gojo as 5 and Geto as 72. Geto is originally read as "geto -", but the 漢字 for "夏" can be read as "natsu", and 7 can be read as "nana". 7 na 2 tsu This is the notation. There are various ways of expression, such as different combinations of sounds and different ways of reading 漢字.

五乙 is 502, but in sound 5 go 0 o 2 tsu The 5 and 2 are as described above, but this "0" is not the reading of the number zero, but rather represents the alphabet "O", which looks similar.

上の三つをローマ字で音にすると、

7 nana　2 tsu-

 (tsuの読み方は英語のtwoから来ている)

となります。

これを語呂合わせといいます。

語呂合わせを使って、五条のことを5と読んだり、夏油のことを72と読んだりする人がいます。

夏油は本来「geto-」と読みますが、「夏」という漢字は「natsu」という読み方があり、7は「nana」と読めるため、

7 na　2 tsu

となり、この表記になります。

音の組み合わせ、漢字の読み方を別にするなど、いろいろな表現の仕方があります。

五乙は502ですが、音にすると

5 go　0 o　2  tsu 

となります。5と2は上で説明した通りです���、この「0」は数字の zero という読みではなく、見た目が似ているアルファベットの「Ｏ」を表現します。

以上が五乙を502と呼ぶ人がいることの理由です。分かりづらい説明になってしまいました。すみません。

Rewatched episode 5, I laughed a lot when I see the police couple and Dazatsu's outfits look quite similar in color

idk i feel like this episode responded to the recent discourse going on about the ADA not caring about dazai, his suicide attempts or his mental health.

"please don't say that. even as a joke" atsushi truly cares about dazai. he hasn't had many people to care about because he never had a family or any friends. dazai was the first person who ever showed him any kindness. and he looks up to dazai despite his silly antics and reckless demeanour.

atsushi's view of life might be the polar opposite of dazai's, yet he looks to dazai for hope and strength.

this isn't just because atsushi's a good person, it's because dazai was the first person ever who cared about him and showed him that his life was worth saving and worth living despite not seeing any value in living his own. he taught him to embrace his strength and believe in himself.

and he taught him that its okay to cry.

dazai means alot to atsushi. and that's why he chooses to care about him. on purpose he will care about him. despite everything he will care about him.
