Hey everyone, it’s time to switch gears. Arvind said in his update that they’re ‘not saying never’, which means we get to breathe. Have a nap. Rethink and regroup. It’s time to stop sprinting and start training for the marathon. I firmly believe that the way to do so is by getting new people, new views, new fans for the show. If numbers are the issue, let’s get numbers. With the petition, we’ve shown that the fans are engaged. Now we need more fans. Whenever you have the chance, spread the word. Venture forth into the world, dip a toe into waters outside of the fandom bubble, and introduce them to Dirk Gently. On Reddit, twitter, tumblr, facebook, mention the show when you can. Get people to WATCH.

so, as we know, the universe has made an enormous mistake and there won’t be a season 3 of dghda, however,

we are now campaigning for a tv special/movie/whatnot to tie up loose ends & give us closure.

Dirk Gently Has Been Cancelled But You Haven’t

The Dirk Gently fandom remains and probably will always remain as my favourite fandom family. You’re all so full of creativity and positivity and I adore the tolerance and love you preach and stand for. And with the cancelling of Dirk Gently, it’s easy to imagine it’s all over and I’ve got to say that I did. For about five minutes. And then I saw all of you standing up, adamant to continue this family, this hub of positive reinforcement. So thank you, for persevering, for showing the cast and the creators and the world the love and passion you hold. You’ve inspired me too - with us, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency will never die. We’ll keep the dream alive, foster it in a beautiful, kind community and throw it back into the media the moment there’s a chance for it in the future. Thank you for continuing to spread the joy this show inspired. Just, thank you.

Hey, Dirk Gently fandom, maybe you allready heard the bad news!

First at all: Hugs to you all! A message like that hurts and I am really sad to hear that the producers stop fighting for that awesome show!

Second: You shouldn’t!

I am also part of the Sense8 fandom and after some weeks we also got a message like that. one of the producers started spoiling the whole story on twitter because: hey, it’s over isn’t it?!

No it isn’t! The Sense8 kept on fighting and in the end we got at least a two hour special! 

And we are still fighting to promote the show. So when the special is released enough people will watch the show to get a third season.

We the Dirk Gently fandom should do that as well. donustop sending your postcard and tweets! There is still hope!

Douglas Adams’ birthday campaign: #SaveDirkGently

We’ve satrted the campaign on nouncy.com that is aimed to collect people’s tweets, for them to be unleashed all together at the same time on the birthday of our genius — Douglas Adams. Right now we are collecting original tweets to share all of them on the 11th of March (8 PM GMT/ 3 PM ET). 

What’s the difference from the regular power hour?

Instantaneousness.  Usually people were asked to tweet in the certain period of time, which is why it’s called the power hour. Our campaign designed to blow up Twitter notifications of @netflix​ in one moment.  Let’s make this campaign like the Big Bang created the universe: instant and powerful.

Hi! So, I just discovered Dirk Gently and um, I love it??? As I've skimmed through posts about it I've seen a lot about fans trying to get it renewed for a third season. I was wondering whether that's old news or if the fandom is still trying to get it renewed? If so, do you know of anything I can do to help (other than watching and signing the petition)? Thank you!

The Douglas Adams Twitter Power Hour on March 11th.

And there’s the DGHDA Fandom Meetup 2.0 which isn’t part of the campaign per se but which I’m quite excited for.

Beyond that, I’d recommend watching the episodes as often as you can to boost viewing numbers, and leaving positive ratings on Netflix.

We’re definitely still trying to get it renewed. Netflix has plans to release 700 pieces of new content in 2018 and a lot of this content is science-fiction and that’s both great and terrible for Dirk Gently’s chances?? But you never know until you try. Showrunner Arvind Ethan SDavid tweeted in early March that they’re working on an update so we’re definitely being heard: we just have to keep doing our best.
