‘The Graveside Orations of Carl Einstein’ (Georgiou & Tolley contributors)
Tumblr media
‘The Graveside Orations of Carl Einstein’, edited by Dale Holmes and Sharon Kivland (published by MA Bibliotheque’). We are delighted to be have been amongst the contributors for this new publication. The book will be launched mid June in Berlin, and London in September, and marks the centenary since the execution of philosopher, anti-war activist and revolutionary socialist, Rosa Luxemburg. The collected writings imagine what writer Carl Einstein (anarchist and art historian) might have spoken in memoriam at her funeral. #TheGravesideOrationsOfCarlEinstein with its themes of counter history from the future past - align with our own wider work and research; #Art #Resistance #Hauntology all often involving the tension between truth, fiction, history and memory.
‘A beautiful volume of intelligent counter-history from the future past: Carl Einstein’s lost graveside oration for Rosa Luxemburg speaks back, producing a hundred-year delayed echo through the voices of writers, theorists, and artists from our present.’ –>Sami Khatib

‘Everything But The Cat (Twin Stranger at the Hotel Berolina)’ A Radio-Film for The Mind’s Eye
Tumblr media
‘Everything But The Cat (Twin Stranger at the Hotel Berolina)’.                     A Radio-Film by Georgiou&Tolley about how times and places feel.
A playlist constructed in the spirit of Karl-Marx-Allee and based on playful philosophy, abstract concepts of un-knowing, identity, time, and space. Sounds that often allude to secrecy and surveillance, or the history of division, acts of creative resistance and the struggle for freedom. With its origins in the Cold War; the construction of the Berlin Wall, its ultimate fall and reunification by the peaceful revolution of 1989.
First Broadcast Christmas Eve 6-7pm 24_12_18 @BrumRadio

Magician: Walking Back the Cat
Evoking spies, secrets and lies, the work concerns Remote Viewing (sensing with the mind) and more broadly, collective anxieties surrounding mass surveillance. Referencing both the historical and contemporary issue of consent and control, Georgiou & Tolley prompt a key question of our time – Who’s watching who?

Exhibited at: Green Design Project 그린 디자인 프로젝트 ♻️
그린 캠퍼스 캠페인 전시회
KUMA GALLERY - Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea
Green and environmental design principles encourage an ecological approach to the monitoring and use of energy. In turn, this raises an awareness and encourages sustainability. We are slowly seeing some achievements in environmentally aware art and design.
Green Note is an awareness campaign. This simple ‘green note’ (colour, sound, frequency) is a cross platform prompt and metaphorical screen-saver that acts as a reminder about electrical consumption of power. From computer design to cloud based monitoring systems... What does it mean to shift to increasingly ‘green perspectives’? How do we deal with modern information overload? How do we save energy? And how do technology and society influence each other reciprocally? A designed mediation on how to consume less, unplug ourselves and our electrical appliances, and then watch and listen the Green Note grow! physically, visually and metaphorically.
