this is a bit of a rant but I hate that its not normalized to want to learn something outside of a school setting. i say this because I WANT to learn something new and just don't know where to start (but obviously don't want to pay money just to learn something). I couldn't find anything to help me other than how to study with videos of college or high school goers trying not to be burnt out. what happened to us for our natural sense of curiosity to be failing us?

is it because of standardized schooling itself, in the same way school is making people read less because of the negative experiences they have reading books in school? we have the entire world at our fingertips because of the internet and I don't even know how to use it because the schooling that was supposed to help me learn didn't teach me HOW to learn INDEPENDENTLY

In totk theres a map of hyrule made of stone in the forgotten temple and im trying to figure out why theres a giant lake in the middle of hyrule field?

also theres rivers going around the great plateau in the north and east and connecting to:

regencia river, aquame lake, a little bend of water (probably what is now the bit of water in outpost ruins), and ultimately lake hylia

dueling peaks is also still a whole mountain and a lot of the water in faron (and necluda) is gone

the river of the dead (great plateau) is completely missing (and all the other water up there) although this could just be the elevation

and thats all i really noticed. im a bit of a geography nerd so i thought it was really interesting to see an old map of hyrule like this

(you cant see them in the picture but there are two lakes behind death mountain and the one surrounding the forest to the north of the korok forest)
