Artists: how do you get over hating your art and feeling inadequate/insecure compared to other artists? Or am I just stuck with that feeling? Is that just a universal thing? Cause I’m tired of it😭I wanna like my art and I just DONT

This idea has completely consumed my head.

So, imagine a portal opened in another universe and a bunch of monsters (mostly flying ones) invaded your kingdom. The next day, a silly kid shows up at your camp and says he's there to hunt those monsters because they're human souls and need to be taken to the underworld to be reincarnated. That's my excuse for putting my two hyperfixations together, sue me, muejejejeje.

Some ideas I have in mind for this crossover:

He is not connected to Palutena, as it is not her domain, which inhibits him much more than he wants to admit.

Pit can't fly on his own, only flap his wings a bit and glide. Palutena gave him the Power of Flight to activate at will, but with the same 5-minute time limit.

He wears a Hylian "disguise" and hides his wings with a magical cloak, which Wild finds hilarious because he didn't even bother looking for non-flashy clothes.

He has a different understanding of the world, becoming very confused when Sky tries to explain to him that he is the first Link and not Hyrule.

He loves to talk about his adventures, but if you try to ask him about the other angels, he will avoid the topic.

Wild and Pit have the great honor of being the ones to break the fourth wall. The others don't even make an effort to try to understand them, they just let them be.

I have more ideas, but I hope to be able to show them with small drawings. Anyway, if anyone wants to contribute any idea, I'd love to hear them, I'm not entirely sure about the dynamics (other than Sky, Wild, and Wind, who would like it, and Legend, who couldn't stand him).

While I believe that people should be allowed to write whatever they find interesting, it sometimes makes me a little sad that the common fanon portrayal of Legend as a generally grouchy person who hates adventuring and seems to hate Hylia in particular seems to be the predominant portrayal of him in the fandom.

I get that people aren't necessarily under an obligation to write him exactly as he appears in the comic, but I feel like the pure ubiquity with which his fanon self is portrayed has caused a lot of people to just think he's that way, leading to them deciding to write him that way because they think that's just the character he is. I feel that there is often a dearth of other interpretations of his character that you wouldn't necessarily see for some other characters.

There is certainly a certain appeal to the fanon version of Legend (though it's no longer my cup of tea, it certainly was at one point), and there's also appeal to the version of Legend that appears in the comic. People don't feel beholden to the canon, as is the nature of fanwork, but by that same logic people are under no obligation to stick with fanon either. If you have opinions on him (or any character, really) that doesn't really go with all the super common headcanons, please, just put them out there anyway. It's not like they're going to be any less canon than the fanon version of him.

It'll be much more interesting to have more interpretations of Legend out there than less, and it'll certainly be more interesting to have more varied interpretations of him than just the one. Just having one version of him gets tiring after a while.
