So this has to be my favorite and best-premade book cover I have made to date. My old favorite used to be Midnight Run, which I will eventually post it here on my site. However, this time I wanted to do something sci-fi and with a huge cyberpunk feel. Inspired by the song 'Golden' by Jill Scott. It's my favorite song of her, and always gets me in a good mood. This is the first piece I used with pc pen that I bought. I did the retouched the makeup and add golden accents to her face. I also finally found a setting with Oil Painting filter that works and it really looks like a digital painting. This art piece was a bit hard to do with a lot of moving  or rather no moving pieces in it. I think my resources/credit list is as long as my arm. And I have been moving from the faux digital  paitning effect because I don't like the end result any more. I actually ending  using paint daub + a lower setting on the reduce noise + high pass in photoshop. I really like how it turned out. (via Majikku (Magic) – Photo Manipulation | Gigi Kiersten)

So this is my favorite piece this week hands down. It looks simple, but the retouching and the details of this piece took me forever to get right. I saw this model, who is unconventionally pretty and is still looking fierce into the camera in her peacock outfit with an imperious look on her face.  And I just knew I had to use this image in my latest work.  This was a challenge getting the right coloring, shadow, and the textures to all fit seamless together.

This piece is my effort to do more racially and body shape diverse projects.  I have challenged myself to do more projects that include plus size models and POC because it’s one thing to scream about diversity and inclusion in media and it’s another thing to commit to doing it yourself.  I was recently inspired by moonchild-ljilja on DeviantArt who I found on pure accident the other day. I just love their style and in this piece tried to mimic a small part of it to see if I can push myself to do more FX effects in my pieces. This is yet another simple look photo manipulation that was far from being simple. This art piece took forever to finish because the lighting wasn’t right, the cut out of the model was ragged and not at all smooth. I was inspired to do a portrait photo manipulation piece by a fantastic artist named VampireKingdom. Lately, they have been doing some frankly excellent portrait pieces and I was inspired to try to do my own. As you can see my own personal style is very minimal and capture and brushless. I also like using real backgrounds and items instead of textures. Although I don’t really look down on artist that uses a lot of textures and brushes.
